Jing’s Residence: "Magical"
Beautiful hotel. Great food and service and amenities with the exception that there is no television and internet is slow. Property was impeccably restored and the staff is very helpful and courteous.Muang La Lodge: "3 nuits à Muang La resort"
Great time and great staff zenitude Bains Small boiling super funny monkey scary Laos When the manager arrived he flees All Quiet on the resort. Out very well organizedPindaya Farm House: "Paradise!"
Thahara in Pindaya, Myanmar is the most wonderful B&B. The accommodations were spotless, the food excellent, the host and hostess were polite, kind and very attentive. I was very sick for about 24 hours and they made special food for me! Our host picked us up at the airport and provided transportation for our sightseeing. The setting for the B&B is in the country on a farm. Very quiet and peaceful. We are already planning our return trip. I would encourage everyone to consider a trip to this lovely property. The Island Lodge: "The Reason to Visit the Mekong Delta"
This is a beautiful property with amazing staff and service! The room was very clean, modern and spacious. The service was impeccable, the food was outstanding, the spa was great, and the property pristine. The owner, Michel, reached out to us directly after we made our reservation and offered transfers from Ho Chi Minh City and back at a reasonable price, which made logistics easy. Michel and his wife, Francoise, also greeted us upon arrival, adding a nice personal touch to our stay. We highly recommend taking advantage of some of the activities offered by the Island Lodge - we did the Seven Bridges Bicycle Tour and it was one of the highlights of our visit to Vietnam. But stay away from My Tho proper, the city really has nothing to offer; just enjoy the lodge, the island, and the river instead. If you are traveling to the Mekong delta, I cannot imagine a better place to stay than the Island Lodge - simply amazing.Flower Island: "Fabulous cook"
"We stayed 4 nights on flower island in Bungalow number 5. The room was very clean and spacious, a few meters from the sea, under some trees; perfect for a nap under the shade of palms. The island is small but not tiny, and there are quite a few options for activities: snorkling, kayak, etc. Stuck on an island is nice to know you'll have a good meal, and what a cook they have! The food was delicious, lots of options with fish, meat, and veggies. We loved it! The staff is super nice and very helpful. They organized a show for Chinese New Year, and your could see how they enjoyed entertaining their guests, it was really nice. Highly recommended place to stay in Palawan. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"Locavore: "Absolute excellence"
Locavore was recommended to us by friends. It is a wonderful food experience to have in Ubud. Expect many more courses than you think and everything you put in you mouth is superb. Presentation, particular the crockery is unique. Loved everything. It is a set menu - 5 or 7 courses for lunch. We chose 5 but you get many more. We were there for my husbands 60th birthday and they presented him with a cake in a coconut with candle at the end. Very special.Kinabalu Park: "Highly recommended"
Not only for a mountain climber but also for nature lovers. Many tracks to walk with plants, birds etc. Good restaurant there too.Really enjoy the scenary and all the birds around.Nice weather so can walk a whole day.Jing’s Residence: "Little bit of paradise in Pingyao"
"The Jing's residence is a lovely hotel right in the center of Pingyao. Pingyao itself is quite noisy, however you don't hear this at all inside the hotel. We booked a courtyard suite, which was actually two courtyard rooms converted into one room, with bedroom, sitting room, walk in wardrobe and bathroom. All very nice and the complimentary mini bar was a nice touch too, plus there is a turn-down service on a night. We ate in the restaurant which it is the most expensive restaurant in Pingyao by far but we really enjoyed the food, service and having the entire restaurant to ourselves! would recommend. We also had the afternoon tea which contained a selection of savory and sweet finger food (local to the area), along with Chinese tea of your choice. The ginger and lemon tea is particularly nice! The staff at the Jing's are all very efficient, pleasant and happy to help - a feat you do not normally get in China so this makes it stand out straight away. Would 100% recommend this hotel, its worth the extra pennies!"Sandat Glamping Tents: "Amazing place!"
I loved staying at Sandat, the concept is really different and interesting, the tents are world class amazing, very very nicely decorated and neat, overlooking the jungle! The food was really good and the staff was really really helpful. I would def go back! The Island Lodge: "A quaint oasis in the Mekong Delta"
We booked to stay at The Island Lodge for 4 nights in May 2016. After travelling through Vietnam from Hanoi and the North, and steadily heading south, we spent a couple of days in Saigon before going to the Mekong. Michel kindly arranged transfers for us from Saigon well before we left for our trip, and all went to plan. We drove down but you can get there by boat as well. It was just the perfect relax-a vous place after the hectic touring of cities. Our room overlooking the pool was excellent, and the staff were lovely, and tree so hard to please us, even though their English was not perfect- however much more perfect than our Vietnamese! It's a charming small resort, and we went on a personal tour with Michel on bikes along some amazing tracks we'd never find on our own, for around 3 hours, on the Ferry and through little villages with everyone saying hello along the way. It was a really unique and bespoke tour and Michel was the perfect host along the way. Food was great and we couldn't have been better looked after. If you are into small hotels which are well run, but offer something deferent to the big internationals, you'll love this place. It only has 12 rooms, so that'll give you an idea of how boutique it is.Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
