Villa Mathis: "Impeccable service in a stunning location"
"I stayed overnight at Villa Mathis (lombok room). The room is huge and very beautiful. The decor is sumptuous. My room had an office desk, which is perfect for laptop (work). The restaurant and the gardens/houses are interesting : there are statues, curtains, giant chairs and stone chess boards, as well as reading areas. - So much space!! The gardens are impeccably manicured. The staff is experienced but at the same time they are discreet. Breakfast is huge (too much:) and they have decent coffee. The bungalows are in what they call a ""villa""; grouped around a pool and open space living area. And everywhere you look, you can discover museum-like items.I didn't venture into the other areas but I understand that each bungalow is different. I was in an area called ""maison rouge"". Definitely a great romantic hotel."Reverie Siam Pai: "Excellent resort with a view"
"We booked ourselves a mountain view room and was very pleased with it (i.e. decor / amenities and the spaciousness of the room). Our balcony was facing the pool overlooking the mountain and White Buddha view from afar. Good a la carte breakfast with wide selection of wines and beverages. The resort also provide free shuttle (buggy) transfer to and from the bus station which is good enough for us to walk around the walking street area. Credits to their punctuality on the pick-up. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. With all the info givens, we booked a half day tour thru the hotel. We enjoyed the ambience of the resort throughout the trip. A truly hidden gem resort for those who needs a relaxing trip away from the busy city life."The Governor’s House: "Perfect Bolthole"
"Beautiful colonial boutique hotel. Smiling charming staff, eager to please. Lovely small intimate dining room with excellent food. Would definitely recommend having dinner here. Our trip was for our 40th wedding anniversary, and 'Happy 40th wedding anniversary' was spelt out in flower petals across our bed...a great touch! Bedroom was charming, and bathroom was clean, stylish and well presented. It's easy to hire a ride into city centre and water front to see the sights. A perfect hideaway hotel, good value and highly recommended."Villa Song Saigon: "Great hotel away from the center"
Colonial villa with smart decor. Lovely big swimming pool. Located next to the river. Enjoyed the complimentary 10 minute boat ride to center of Ho Chi Minh. Excellent restaurant. A la carte extensive breakfast menu in a lovely setting. We had two adjoining rooms with a sitting room inbetween overlooking the river. Third floor no lifts so you needed to be able to manage stairs although I think there were rooms on ground floor. Lovely atmosphere and very attentive staff.Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "A beautiful and serene resort for peace- and nature-loving travelers"
"We just returned from a 4-nights stay at the beautiful Rice & Zen resort in Doi Saket district, which is no more than 30km away from the Chiang Mai international airport. Our host, Michael, who is also a resident on the resort is very welcoming and warm. We could see that he runs this resort with great passion and drive. The property is extremely lovely. We booked the entire property for our family of 4, and we practically had the entire place to ourselves! The rooms were clean daily and well maintained, with the usual amenities expected of any upmarket resort. The only swimming pool on the resort is cleaned every morning and it feels so good to be able to dip into the pool to beat the tropical heat. And if swimming is not your cup of tea, there's always the gym and beautifully manicured garden and ponds to keep you occupied. Delicious meals are prepared and served by Maya, the resident chef. And if you're into Thai cuisine, the food is no less than scrumptious than what you can find in the restaurants. Michael and his staff will be most happy to recommend other restaurants in the vicinity should you want to venture out to try other fares. Trips to Chiang Mai city can also be arranged for a small transportation fee. Overall, we had a most pleasant and relaxing stay and we highly recommend this resort to anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of the metropolitan city life."David’s Kitchen: "Best experience in Chiang Mai"
We went to DK to celebrate our honeymoon... since the beginning the staff was very nice, they set us up a table for "honeymooners" with roses and a special card signed by David and his wife. The food was excellent!!!! Every single plate we ate. David arrived to our table and was very kind and friendly to us, we even took a picture with him!! His wife is very nice too. We highly recommend David's KitchenRachamankha: "Amazing service and hotel!"
This hotel is absolutely amazing!! The manager, Paul, and every member of their staff went above and beyond to make our stay the absolute best possible! Would recommend this beautiful place to anyone. Close to all the great shops and restaurants Chiang Mai has to offer. Thanks to all the staff at Rachamkha!!!!Cabochon Hotel & Residence: "Charming boutique hotel"
Great design, excellent food quiet. Lovely spot. I will definitely go back if I am in bkk again. Rooftop pool is added bonus. Helpful and friendly staff. I need to fill in 200 characters. So still writing. The Village House: "Gorgeous little place"
"I really LOVED it here. It's no 5 star Marriott or anything... But the staff are super hospitable, accomodation very clean and comfortable. The pool and relaxing areas are great and the food is good-okay. Around the accomodation, there is not very much to do. You cannot swim at the beach located 100m down the street as there may be crocodiles. Apparently the sunset is nice from there though. I stayed in a six person dorm for 123 RM, but it's cheaper on the Agoda website I've been told. This is a great place to relax, swim (the pool is GREAT!), read and relax. Stayed January 2017"Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Amazing nature, food and hospitality"
"We arrived by a perfect flight into Yala on the day as a large group for a friends birthday celebration holiday. Noel was the perfect host, the staff and team were hospitable, knowledgeable and friendly. We did 4 safari's, over 2 large lots in the national park, spotted 8 leopards (one for a good half hour posed around a waterhole for perfect photos) and discovered many other birds and wildlife. The food was magical, different every meal, great vegetarian mixed with a touch of meat, no-one was left hungry, a great introduction to Sri Lankan food, it was hard to match after we left. Beds are comfortable, flushing toilets and outdoor showers added to the Safari. The honeymoon tent is aircon and glam so jump into that one, otherwise stay cool in the hammock provided outside your tent. I can honestly say, as an animal and bird lover, this was the highlight of my and my husbands trip, I not have the safari bug and want to do so many more! The best Safari in the region."Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
