Rachamankha: "A perfect oasis in the city"
It is everything that all the positive reviews have been about. The perfect getaway for someone who needs a beautiful ambience, and oh so different from the cookie cutter chains with their flashy marble foyers and crystal chandeliers. Truly a boutique hotel. Small enough for personal service but large enough to provide all the comforts needed. A beautifully maintained garden, extremely tasteful. A credit to the owners who I gather live within the compound. Incidentally it is well located, within the old walled city. Highly recommended.David’s Kitchen: "Outstanding Experience and Service"
"We have never been to a restaurant that sent a car to collect us, whose owner introduced himself, e-mailed us the next day and sent a car to take us back to the hotel. The food itself was superb, modern European with an asian twist which was ambitious without being over pretentious. An interesting and good value wine list. Very tasteful setting with excellent interior design which was fresh and light. We liked the crisp appearance of the attentive and friendly staff. The set menu was good value. They managed a gluten free requirement with no fuss"SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "A Meal to Remember"
We dined here about two weeks ago. A truly fantastic meal and incredibly beautiful outdoor space. It is expensive but well worth the cost. My only complaint would be I hate it when the owner of a restaurant stops by the tables and asks how your meal is. I guess some people might like that, but I'd prefer to be left in peace. Anyhow, this was the best meal I've had since an incredible dinner two years ago in Madrid.Muang La Resort: "Hidden gem"
By the moment we checked in, we felt at home. Great rooms on stlits, nice decoration and superb bahroom. Great riverview watching local life (bathing, laundrying, fishing) and buffaloes. Superb attentive service, such as hot herbal and ginger tea in the tub, local espresso coffeemachine on the terrace below the rooms. Friendly staff with a special mention to Rodolphe, the French Manager, who makes your stay being so special. Excellent creative meals and picknicks, enjoyable excursions. A great guide showed us the secrets of the Laos forests (edible herbs, medicinal plants), a true authentic experience. and last but not least, the MASSAGE....unique and perfect.Maison Polanka: "A pleasure to stay there"
This is a wonderful hotel with only 5 rooms set in a beautiful garden in a secluded road in Siem Reap. We were there for three nights and were treated superbly by all the staff. Nothing was too much for them. If we wanted breakfast in our room at 06:30 because we were being picked up at 07:00, as was the case on two mornings, it was there. When we used the swimming pool one afternoon we were provided with tea and snacks. I can honestly say we were treated wonderfully well everywhere we stayed on our tour of Vietnam and Cambodia but Maison Polanka was a cut above. The food was very good and our room was beautifully kept. We can honestly recommend Maison Polanka to anyone who is looking to stay in Siem Reap and wants a unique experience.Satri House: "Exquisite experience!"
"Satri House was especially memorable stay for us thanks to GT, Julie, and team. Also, GT sent us the jam as he mentioned in the post! The extra 10 miles they went is absolutely touching. Thank you for the above and beyond experience. Satri House will always have a place in our heart. I am planning to cook me some GT pasta tomorrow!"The Cabochon Hotel and Residence: "Wonderful Oasis"
The Cabochon is a small, charming colonial style oasis in Bangkok with very friendly and good service. It seems to attract a diverse range of well mannered travellers (mostly couples) and is well placed. Our family enjoyed every minute of it and will be back.Locavore: "Taste Bud Experience"
We did the 7 course lunch with drink pairing. It was a great experience and we highly recommend it. Every course was sensational. It was a 2.5 hour food session that we will remember for a long time! Only suggestion would be explanation cards on each dish and drinks written in English as the normal language barrier plus background noises made it very hard to take in everything our waitress was explaining. Thank you Lavacore and see you again next time we visit.Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "A small peace of Heaven here in Ko Samui"
"A funny story about this resort. My partner and I were at Ko Samui for the first time 3 yrs ago and found this place – a small piece of heaven here on earth. We were actually the first ones ever to check in to Sea Dance who just had opened. This resort has since been on our favorite list. Now 3 yrs. later we were able to have another stay here and it’s still as amazing as last time. They had since last time added some more bungalows (all hidden behind hedges you can’t even see them) they also had a new reception and a Spa department. It all looks so great. As Scandinavians we love the design of concrete together with wood. We both tried the oil massage and yes, it’s more expensive than the one you get on the beach – but then again, it’s so much better. Coming here I strongly suggest that you try their food in the restaurant. I had their Fish Taco – the best one I ever had. We got to talk to the chef and they even make their tortilla bread themselves – and trust me, you can taste that. As a final request to the reader planning to go there – you have to try their Passion Fruit Mojito (no words needed) Would I go here again, NO DOOUBT. We love this resort and their staff."The Apsara Rive Droite: "Very nice place"
Perfect location near by the river Khan, and so close the center with all shops, restaurants and bars. Warm welcome. Rooms having a very good value for money. Plus, we had a nice meal at the restaurant. Friendly staff and kind manager Christopher.
