Flower Island: "Perfect away from it all"
From the journey to the Island and everything during our stay to the time we had to leave was simply amazing. The fantastic approach by boat, the welcome, the staff, the food, the serenity, the views, snorkelling, canoeing, the beach, the bar, the rooms and the dog. We absolutely loved the whole experience. No TV, WiFi, unless at the reception, traffic, hustle and bustle. A most perfect few days of sheer basic bliss in simple true rustic charm. Total chill out. We will be back, for longer next time!Tugu Malang: "Perfect New Year’s Eve destination"
We came back to Malang because of Tugu and because we wanted to experience its New Year's Eve party. It was more than worth it. The hotel as such is still an absolutely great place to stay and the party was perfectly organized. They really knew how to get it going. We left with more good memories of Tugu Malang and certainly want to return.Les Maisons d’Itac: "Une excellente adresse"
In addition to being a beautiful place, everything is perfect with smile on all faces. The country side is beautiful with a lot of activities for kids and adults and places to visit. Make sure you find time to challenge the landlord on pool billard, she is very good !Villa Song: "We would come back"
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Song. This is a smaller, boutique type hotel, which was exactly what we wanted. It just felt so much more intimate and personal and yet still had all the amenities you could want. Wonderful well appointed rooms . I’ll admit that we were lucky enough to have a suite, which was simply stunning (thank you Villa Song). But the children’s room was still quite lovely and we would have been happy with that (although we declined to swap with them). We loved the setting - dining down by the river was lovely and you are a short walk / taxi from other great places to eat in the area. Breakfast is a la carte rather than buffet, but there is more than enough choice. We were here towards the end of our trip and frankly we were over wandering around at breakfast buffets. Nice pool and gym. For us, this was exactly what we wanted and a nice change from the larger chains and resorts "The Island Lodge: "Superb"
"I stayed at the Island Lodge with my wife and two young kids as my first hotel upon arrival in Vietnam, with the idea of using its relaxing environment to acclimatise to the weather and time zone. It fulfilled this brief perfectly. We were picked up at the airport in HCMC and transferred to the hotel which was just under 2 hours drive away. On arrival at the hotel we were treated with a refreshing drink and delicious canapés while we checked in. Michel had previously suggested pre-ordering a meal as we arrived around 9pm after travelling all day. This was a great idea and was a lovely start to our 3 night stay at this hotel, and was our first insight as to the thoughtfulness, service and high quality that was typical at this hotel. The food here was consistently excellent (as to be expected from Michel and Françoise who hail from France's gastronomy capital - Lyon) and was a highlight of our stay. The wine selection was also excellent and on reflection was great value for Vietnam. Breakfast was a treat to look forward to every morning, with the Eggs Benedict a particular favourite. Also, I was delighted to find that good european style coffee is served! The hotel itself is beautiful, and decorated with an Indochine theme. We stayed in a River View room, which was lovely with a nice comfortable balcony to sit on and watch the activity on the river, however the garden rooms also looked very nice and I would have been happy in either room type (FYI river room views are on first floor and so persons with mobility issues may prefer garden view room). The staff at the hotel are excellent - friendly, attentive and obviously well trained and professional in their service. The overall highly positive experience of our stay here allowed us to relax, get over our jet lag and energise us for a great holiday in Vietnam. The only negative about staying here as our first hotel in Vietnam is that we found ourselves comparing all subsequent hotel stays against this one, and they all fell short! For a stay in the Mekong Delta area I would absolutely recommend that you don't look any further than The Island Lodge."Mie Cafe: "Very good food"
I just come Back from this lovely, precious ,romantic restaurant in siem reap. Shame I was dining alone as I am a solo traveler. I would recommend for a lovely romantic dinner ! Definitely a honey moon destination if you are visiting Angkor wat and stay in siem reap!!! The food was extremely tasty and well presented. I even had the chef coming at my table asking how it is going!!! I highly recommend it!!Tugu Malang: "Amazing and they know what GF means!"
Loved this place! Simply beautiful and charming! Every detail, every flower and candle was just perfect. The hotel is very clean and everybody is kind and helpful! We had dinner at the restaurant and I have to admit that I was a bit nervous telling them about my celiac disease and how they had to be careful! The menager himself discuss with me about what I could eat and how everything had to be done! I had an amazing dinner and a delicious breakfast!!! Rubby as well manage to treat us so well making us feel at home!!! Definetly a place to stay!!!The Island Lodge: "The perfect oasis of calm and relaxation"
This hotel really is a gem, yes the rooms are lovely, the pool is delightful, and the setting overlooking the Mekong is second to none, but the real quality of the island lodge is in it's staff. The owner personally greets each guest, and the Vietnamese staff, from the manageress to the security guard were all friendly, and incredibly helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast is excellent and the lunch and dinner menu is varied. Prices are relatively high for Vietnam, but not for a hotel of this class. If I had one suggestion, it would be to add a snack or sandwich menu to the food options, there are no alternative restaurants nearby, and sometimes we wanted to just eat something light by the pool.Sea Dance Resort: "Fabulous Resort……..can’t wait to go back!"
"Steve & I arrived early December to this amazing resort, for 8 nights, we chose a villa with its own pool which was simply amazing, unfortunately for us the rainy season was a little late leaving so our weather was a little mixed, however we believe 1 week later after we left left it was perfect weather. The restaurant in Resort was excellent all food can also be cooked to taste ie hot, mild etc. All the staff was very caring and thoughtful a special thank you to Faith, Helen Gai, John, & arh who took very good care of us during our stay. We stayed in Resort for most of our visit, however, you can take an open taxi to Fisherman’s Village which was our favourite place, but you could also go to a few beaches nearby. We have booked already to go back again. Once again thank you to all the staff at Sea Dance"Locavore: "Wonderful Experience, but book ahead or be disappointed"
"Very popular, small, expensive but very very good. We went here for dinner. Thank goodness we had skipped lunch after reading the reviews. We ordered the 5 course Otak-Otak which eventually turned into about 12 dishes as there are delightful little pre/post dinner treats along the way. What a wonderful surprise. The staff are fabulous and explained each dish as each one has it's own quirkiness - a bit fusion east meets west . . . . very tasty. We enjoy the evening very much and after our three hour eating safari we were very full. Would highly recommend for a special dinner or lunch out in Ubud, but do book in advance. No shows and late late comers are fined accordingly."
