Rachamankha: "Old City Oasis"
Traveling from the Chiang Mai Airport we encountered a buzz of traffic including autos, tuk-tuks and a swarm of scooters and small motorcycles. Crowded, bussling, narrow streets apperared to be the norm. Then our driver turned onto a side street and pulled into the calm and quiet of Rachamankha. The staff of the hotel and the restaurant where gracious and attentive. The grounds are gorgeous and peaceful. We spent a few quiet hours by the tranquil pool. Great experince.4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Amazing experience"
"What an amazing experience it was to stay at 4 Rivers floating lodge. I only have positive things to say, starting with the warm welcome at their reception area , to the boat trip, friendly and efficient team ! The tents are extremely comfortable, the attention to details is quiet exceptional !!! The breakfast is gigantic , the food is good. 4 rivers is very much involved in preservation and supporting local community, they raised money to build a school in a small village nearby. It was a very special moment and one of the best accommodation I saw in Cambodia. Will be back for sure !"Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Some people’s idea of heaven"
"We got ill on our way to this hotel so we weren't in good shape when we arrived, and we spent our two nights here recovering. It was a great place to do this - the room was beautiful and enormously comfortable and it was all very peaceful and quiet. The staff were very kind and attentive and we are very grateful to them. This is the kind of place that many (British) people would think was heaven - on the sea, very quiet, a little bubble of perfect bliss - a kind of honeymoon place. If this is what you like, the place should have six stars. But we aren't so fond of that kind of place - we prefer staying in places with domestic as well as foreign tourists and which are a little bit more lively. In summary, the property promises peace and quiet and that's what it delivers in spades - it's our problem and not the hotel's that it's not entirely our thing. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"Jing’s Residence: "Wonderful Experience"
"Our family of three adults spent two nights at Jing’s Residence. It was by far one of our favorite stays in our 19 day China journey. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The hotel is situated in the walled city which makes checking in and out interesting. No cars are allowed so you are met at the gates by electric cars for your transfer. We ate at Jing’s two evenings. The first evening we ordered of the menu and were delighted with our cocktails and food choices. The next evening, the hotel and chef Henry were very gracious to put together a cooking class for us spur of the moment. Again the food was wonderful and we had a great, fun time interacting with the staff. We can now make dumplings and noodles. We also ate breakfast there twice. It was adequate and good. Service was prompt and delightful. I wish I was returning to Pingyao to relive this special place"satrin house: "beautiful antique design"
"Stayed few days in this beautiful hotel! The design is antique and it makes your stay special. Great service in the hotel, nice breakfast. 7 min from the night market/center, and free bicycle in the hotel make it faster. Highly recommended hotel in Luang Prabang "Inle Princess Resort: "Luxury relaxation"
"This is the perfect place to relax during your visit to Myanmar. Settle in for a slower pace and just admire the scenery. The rooms are very large and have an amazing bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers and a full tub. We had a room on the water with a lovely view of the marsh. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the mornings and evenings watching the water. The property is a long drive from the airport so be prepared for that but it's a interesting drive. The hotel staff is very helpful and accommodating. Use them to arrange tours of the Inle Lake area for $30-$40 dollars. We visited many of the local attractions- lotus/silk weavers, boat makers, cigar makers, cat monastery. Some have a small tour but nobody was pushy. The restaurant on the property is very good which is great since there are few options for dinner off property due to the fact that it's a bit of a drive to town and I don't think the boats run after dark. You can't go wrong by booking here."Villa Song Saigon: "Wonderful place"
"Everything is just perfect! The hotel is beautiful and nicely decorated. The shuttle boat takes you in historical center of Saigon in 15 mins and when coming back at night you enjoy the lights of the skyline and are really happy to escape noise and pollution. The restaurant is very good (we had dinner and breakfast) with direct view on the river. The swimming pool is as big as on photos and very quiet. All the staff is specially nice and helpful and they all speak English well. Late check out most appreciated. I strongly recommend this place where I would be happy to come again!"Manda De Laos: "Beautiful Dinner"
We visited this restaurant recently and had a beautiful meal of Buffalo Steak and Tamarind Duck. Great meal , service in a beautiful Lotus Pond backdrop. Thoroughly enjoyed the night outVilla Song Saigon: "My Stay at Villa Song"
"We took 2 rooms at Villa Song - one for ourselves and another for our weekend guests. All 4 of us were very happy with the hotel. It's location on the river is excellent and peaceful. It was great to have a free boat service into and back from District 1. The pool is fabulous. The beds are exceptionally comfortable. We had 2 good dinners at the hotel. Room Tip: The bathroom lighting could be improved"David’s Kitchen: "Unforgettable first anniversary meal."
I don’t really know where to start with this review as so much has been said before but you really must treat yourself to David’s Kitchen. Not one detail has been overlooked, staff are impeccable, quality ingredients abound, presentation is exquisite. This is truly a unique dining experience. David is such a humble host, sharing the success of his restaurant with his charming wife Prom and the wonderful Thai chef, along with his attentive staff. It’s clear to see he has a passion to create a wonderful dining room with superb food and excellent service, this he manages with ease and charm, his reward is to see people from all over the world enjoying themselves. Thanks for a fantastic evening it was truly a great pleasure for us both.Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
