Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "A Step Back In Time"
Recently visited Cheong Fatt Tze's Blue Mansion in Georgetown. All in all I was glad I went as I learned a lot about the original owner. The tour guide was a fascinating raconteur. I could tell she had told this story a few times in the 18 years she had worked there. The quality of the restoration is absolutely amazing.Bassac Cruises: "Memorable"
Had a fantastic and truly memorable time, the crew couldn't have have done enough for us and beautiful food. Special mentions go out to An and Ngoan. Has stood out as one our best experiences whilst in Vietnam. The Mekong river is amazing, thanks to all involved.Satri House: "Fantastisk"
An excellent experience. Never seen it better. Well located. Nice people and an athmosphere from a forgotten time. I will come back. Ask for help and you get it. Afternoon tea in the garden is a must. You Can use the free bikes to acces all locations of importance within the City.Tugu Lombok: "Full of character and charm"
"What a unique and characterful hotel! The architecture and decor is completely authentic and brimming with stunning antiques and artefacts. The whole experience was so wonderfully relaxing - from the warm welcome and complimentary massage to the fresh seafood dinner on the beach! The sea was so calm - perfect to try out paddle boarding and kayaking. There was nothing to fault... friendly and helpful staff, delicious food, amazingly comfortable bed, stunning outdoor bath and private pool, spacious grounds and a beautiful white sandy beach for long walks. I would not hesitate to recommend The Tugu Lombok to anyone who is tired of large and impersonal hotels."The Cabochon Hotel: "Excellent"
Love this hotel. I had My Valentine at this hotel. Great service , friendly staff. Big swimming pool, Very intimitet place. Travel back to 1920 en enjoy. When You walk away from the hotel youre back in the crazy city Bamgkok .Glenburn Tea Estate: "It is a beautifully located property on the crest of a hill giving you a 360 degree view of all the hills around"
"This boutique hotel gives you the experience of complete tranquility, as it is situated in the middle of a tea estate surrounded by luxuriant greenery. The bird life, the changing cloud patterns and occasional rain immerses you in nature and your inner self. The staff is very obliging and attentive and the cuisine is delectable. A total experience."Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "The highlight of our trip to Myanmar! Thank you sincerely!"
"A little gem! We loved it all: - the delightful staff, so professional, skilled and nice, will stay in our memories forever! We felt like home and all the staff deserve a LOT of credit for their hard & generous work everyday there and all the small attentions they craft everyday!! (reception, restaurant, housekeeping... all of them) - the incredible surroundings on the lake of course - the beautiful rooms, decorated with taste - the excellent restaurant - the center itself where you can walk above water, see burmese cats, an aquarium, learn how to cook, see students learning about hostellery with a free education... This hotel was the most authentic, friendly, and simple luxury experience of our whole trip in Myanmar. So happy to have spent time there and spent money for such a beautiful center & project. Thank you!! PS: if we had to mention potential drawbacks for some guests: - just be sure to know it's a small, intimate resort with no infrastructure like pool or spa (we were fine with it). - and it's in the middle of the lake so noise from the motor boats (but it's worth it!! Stayed August 2016, traveled as a couple"Mume: "Modern contemporary cuisine in Taipei"
Helmed by chefs whom trained at the world renowned Noma, comes a modern contemporary restaurant with Taiwanese elements. Ingredients are mostly locally sourced I believe. The sensibilities are quite close to the Nordic style of cuisine, which is subtle in flavour albeit quite well balanced.Glenburn Tea Estate: "An outstanding very special place to stay"
This is probably one of the very best hotels we have stayed in anywhere. The location is magical (although be prepared for a very rough road to get there for about the last 40 minutes) and the ambience is particularly special. We could not have been better looked after by the staff who were attentive, efficient and friendly. Meals were quite superb, amongst the very best we had in India. William and Faye are excellent hosts and keep a watchful eye to make sure your stay is as enjoyable as possible. I recommend it very highly indeed.Kinugawa Kanaya Hotel: "Beautiful Hotel, Excellent service, Delicious food"
The Hotel has a beautiful elegant feel about it. The staff were extremely helpful. If there were language difficulties there was always someone at hand to help out and the food was elegantly served. Our room at its private Onsen that made it even more special.
