Misool Eco Resort: "Perfect"
"Perfect! That's about says all there is say. The staff are wonderful especially Mark and Sue. They taught me to dive and looked after me for my entire stay. The diving is fantastic there is just so much to see everywhere you look. This is a real paradise relatively undiscovered. Yes it costs a lot and is difficult to get to but it is worth every penny. The accommodation is beautiful, the food is outstanding and plentiful. I will be returning."Tugu Malang: "Keramahan ditengah kota malang"
Having a strategic location amid poor town, close to the city center and the train station. The hotel staff were friendly and the facilities were excellent although vintage ... In the afternoon there drinking tea is free for guests while enjoying delicious snacks. For breakfast there was no buffet menu, but do not worry about the food choices will not disappoint.Rachamankha: "BEAUTIFUL hotel in the Thai tradition"
It was great to experience the beauty of Thailand in the guest rooms, the restaurant and the gardens. The whole property feels zen and made for a very restful stay. The breakfast which was included in the price of our rooms offered many choices and everything was delicious. The service is impeccable and friendly. Every place we saw was kept clean and neat. It's an amazing place! I'll never forget it!David’s Kitchen: "Outstanding Experience and Service"
"We have never been to a restaurant that sent a car to collect us, whose owner introduced himself, e-mailed us the next day and sent a car to take us back to the hotel. The food itself was superb, modern European with an asian twist which was ambitious without being over pretentious. An interesting and good value wine list. Very tasteful setting with excellent interior design which was fresh and light. We liked the crisp appearance of the attentive and friendly staff. The set menu was good value. They managed a gluten free requirement with no fuss"Maison Polanka: "Escape the Maddening Crowd"
"Siem Reap has 1000's of visitors and hotel beds. Maison Polanka is by contrast an oasis in this tourist buzz. Great landscape, pool, rooms, food and service. Their wonderful staff arranged a fantastic guide who taught us a great deal about Khmer history and culture and pointed us in the right direction for shopping and dining out (tho dining in was perfectly wonderful). The only flaw in our stay -- we should have stayed 5 or 6 nights, so that we might have travelled further afield into Cambodia -- visiting Tonle Sap for example. We mentioned it was our husband's birthday, and the loveliest cake appeared, with a card signed by all the staff, all ""on the house."" Pure magic. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"Chakrabongse Villas: "Wow!"
This must be one of the finest residences I have ever stayed in. Imagine you are in the centre of Bangkok right by Wat Pho (totally frenetic) but inside the hotels grounds is a sea of calm and tranquility and right in front you have your own deck right on the banks of the Chao Praya river. Fantastic. We also chose to eat at their restaurant one night, for non residents there's a 3 month waiting list. The food and service were superb. The hotel also has its own long tail boat on which we had a 2 hour sunset trip, bumpy but amazing! The River Resort: "A destination in iteself"
I am just back from an extended week-end trip to The River Resort. The resort is so peaceful, the rooms are absolutely beautiful, with large terraces, and the outdoor shower is fabulous! We went to visit the temple and some waterfalls, and I had not realized that so many other attractions are available nearby. That is great: I will come back then :)Supanniga Cruise: "Supanniga Evening Champagne Cruise"
We had a chance to try out the new Supanniga sunset cruise with my sister and her fiancee who were visiting us. Compared to many of the other river cruises, the experience was much more intimate with a small boat that was not in the least crowded for the 1-hour sunset cruise on a Sunday. Very comfortable and nice scenery, and the glass of champagne offered was very good! The sunset cruise includes no food beyond a few nibbles (think peanuts and dried shrimp), but the service was great and the menu for the later dinner cruise looked very appetising as well. Recommended for a special event or a less touristy cruise option for visitors!
The Manda de Laos is set among several lotus ponds. Our hotel had made a reservation for us and we had a table positioned to enjoy the sunset. That was our only disappointment of the night as the clouds rolled in at the wrong time. Everything else was perfect. My buffalo was tender as and my wife's duck fabulous. This is not a cheap eat but worth every cent.
