"Had an enormously big beautifully designed suite and an amazing stay at this peaceful place in the middle of mad Bangkok. Hotel has been designed with a good feeling for space and feng shui and even though it is a few years old, it is an intimate and personal place and feels, like you are staying at someone's private palace. Nice restaurants just around the corner, very close to BTS via Exchange Tower and there is parking for about 20 cars within the walls of the property, which is very unusual for Bangkok I believe. Next time in Bangkok we will be happy to stay here again. Thank you for everybody from the staff, who made our stay very special!"Bassac Cruises: "Very enjoyable and better than expected"
We were lucky to have been allocated Bassac 1. I say that because she is an original vessel with fewer cabins than her sister boats and has a very pleasing worn in feel. We were greeted on board by the charming and friendly crew who looked after us very well throughout. Other reviewers have kindly given the details of the various things that you can see on or off the boat but my take is that this is definitely something worth doing. Sitting on deck as the sun sinks below the river is a wonderful experience. We would have happily spent another night on board.Mie Cafe: "Great Authentic Cambodian Food"
We recently ate here and had some very well prepared authentic khmer cusine for an extremely reasonable price. The fish amok and chicken amok were wonderfully prepared as was the pork mixed with eggplant and not overly spicy beef curry. Loved this little gem! Excellent location right by the main temple in town. 5 minute walk to the Friday & Saturday night market. Staff was very friendly, we left at 5am for flight and they made us a breakfast box to go. The included breakfast was lovely!Yandabo Home: "Zwischenstopp mandalay-bagan"
"Ein kleines Schmuckstück im nirgendwo! Wir haben die kleine Auszeit zwischen vollgepackten Tagen in den größeren Städten sehr genossen! Die Zimmer sind unglaublich geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber! Service war schon fast unangenehm gut;)... es sprangen so viele Service Personen um uns herum aber trotzdem diskret wenn wir unsere Ruhe haben wollten! Frühstück war für uns das beste in ganz Myanmar! Auch das es kein Internet gab fanden wir eher sehr positiv! So habe ich mal die Zeit nutzen können alles erlebte in Ruhe aufzuschreiben! "The resort is set in beautifully landscaped grounds with views of volcanoes in every direction. They also have a small coffee plantation onsite and the coffee itself is only available in the hotel. Rooms were huge and nicely fitted out. Would loved to have stayed longer, but was following a tight itinerary through central and eastern Java. Will return for sure. "We - an extended family group - ended up eating here two nights running. The staff were very accommodating and friendly and provided us a table at short notice. The food was excellent on both occasions and the service charming. The structure of the restaurant is atmospheric and traditional with pipes and piano being played at various stages. We were grateful to the staff who allowed us to have a shower on the second visit before we ate- particularly appreciated as we had been on the beach all day and our next stop was Denpasar Airport for a prolonged flight programme to London Heathrow."Discover Muang La | Visit Laos | Luxury & Boutique Hotel: "Most attractive place in Laos"
We have visited Muang La Lodge several times over the last four years (twice this year) and find it to be the most exciting place to visit in Southeast Asia. A day trip (several on this trip) to the Hmong village coupled with the most pleasant service, local entertainment at Christmas, spa treatment, hit mineral natural hot spring makes it an exceptional experience. The management and the entire staff is an absolute joy to be with while the food is TOP quality. Comes highly recommended!
