I had researched this hotel and recommended it to two friends despite not actually visiting it myself so I had high expectations. Finally, I got to visit and I was not disappointed, and I have been lucky enough to stay in many luxurious hotels around the world. This hotel is a gem. "Well, this is an extraordinary and lovely place to stay. We stayed for 3 nights and wished we had stayed longer. Such a peaceful environment, excellent staff, excellent service. Food more than adequate. We took two of the trips out - to the Tatai waterfall (upstream) and to the fishing village and mangrove swamps (downstream). Both were excellent. Also went out to see the fireflies one evening - they were definitely in cooperative mood, flashing away like crazy. Bathing in the river, straight from our sundeck, was magic. Altogether even better than expected - and we expected it to be good. Thanks to all the staff for a truly memorable experience! Room Tip: We had the tent nearest to reception. Managed to get a 830pm seating here on a trip to Taipei. It's not a fine dining restaurant where you have no option but to take a degustation menu. Instead you get a pretty decent sized menu to choose a la carte options and almost everything we had was really good. Highly recommend the chicken liver, beef tartare, barley porridge. Though the menu might be different next time you go. It's definitely a bit on the higher price range of food options in Taipei but the same quality of food would cost almost double in Singapore or Hong Kong. "this Home is a real secret adress you are right in heart of the old city of chiang Mai location cant be better, closed to all the major temples and activities! the building is so charming we were like a beautiful naste our room , number 24/25 was so spacious , cosy , confortable and with a beautiful decoration and so peaceful the pool is perfect , massage so good even if they dont have their own therapist they call them from outside the food so good really nothing to say just go and enjoy it !"Mrauk U Princess Resort: "Best in Mrauk-U"
"Excellent rustic hotel in Mrauk U. The hotel has its own jetty that takes about 4:30 hours from Sittwe airport. Sunrise breakfast charge 150 for 5 people to watch the sunrise in the the mountain and have breakfast there. Bicycles are available for rent for $5 for full day and $3 for half day. The pool in the middle of the lotus flower lake is great but the water is cold. Breakfast is included; for other meals the restaurant has a vast menu priced in USD. Can't go wrong with the curry, coconut rice (not found on the menu) and the lentil soup . The Internet rarely works but then again who cares when you are immersed in history. We have stayed at the hotel for a few nights while visiting Chiang Mai. Location is great and within walking distance (15min) to many attractions that the city has to offer. Room was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities you needed except they don't give you conditioner so bring your own. I would highly recommend eating at the restaurant, we had snacks and dinner and the food and service were great. Would definitely stay again.Rachamankha: "Such a lovely hotel"
The Rachamanka did not disappoint. From the moment I walked in, it was peace and tranquility. The staff was kind and eager to please. The room was spacious and beautifully appointed. It is indeed a wonderful experience staying at 4 Rivers Floating Lodge. Beautiful location, professional and ecologically knowledgeable and concerned management team associated with very accommodating staffs, great foods and marvelous ambience. "We stayed in the camp for two nights with our five year old son. They entertained him and the staff was very child friendly. They were professional in showing us the best of the wildlife. The native food was delicious, eating outside under the stars was fantastic.They are a professional team in wildlife and we felt safe travelling with them. It was a excellent experience and we could highly recommend it as family adventure. Our son still talks about this experience. Beautiful, secluded resort. The hospitality and atmosphere is beyond expectations. We arrived in early afternoon to welcoming arms and were escorted to our villa. We enjoyed the delicious lunch and partook in 2 for 1 drinks at happy hour. When the bar tender discovered I preferred Bacardi Rum to what they offered, he went to a market and purchased it for my next drink! Unbelievable people! The servers gladly held our second round of drinks for after we returned from dinner. Everyone is friendly, helpful, and kind. The outdoor bath and shower were a perfect ending to serene and peaceful day.
