Sukoon Houseboat: "Amazing View"
The rooms are clean and the well maintained. The bathrooms are very clean and don't even realise that you are on a house boat. The staff are very warm and welcoming . The food was good with variety. A must stay for a night !Rahai’i Pangun: "Best river trip ever"
This boat company have 4 boats on the river. I have done 3 trips with them now. Wonderful service, the BEST FOOD EVER, professional service and fabulous guides . We visited Orangutans and sweet Daysk villages and met the village weaver. Beautiful river - so much bird life and not s busy river - just adrift at a slow pace and you can catch your breath and enjoy Borneo.Mathis Retreat: "Paradise in the ricefields"
"We had such an amazing time at Kenanga Hotel. The place is located in a perfectly preserved location in Ubud. Surrounded by the ricefields and the palmtrees, the bungalows look beautiful and are very comfortable. Everything is super clean! The swimming pool is perfect as well and allows you to enjoy the peaceful landscape while relaxing in the water. The staff is adorable, smily and very attentionate to the customers' need. Karine, the French Manager of the hotel is extremely kind and helpful. She will help you if you need anything to plan your visits and to improve your experience at the hotel. You can also have a nice walk in the ricefields all around at sunrise and/or sunset time. The restaurant is also delicious and offers high quality food at a good price. Try it! I would deeply recommend this hotel. Just go there and forget everything else!!"Tugu Lombok: "Amazing holiday at Tugu!"
My boyfriend and I had an absolutely amazing time at the Tugu Hotel in Lombok, it is definitely the most relaxing, rejuvenating place either of us had ever been. The setting on the beach was beautiful both day and night, the accommodation was light, airy and beautifully clean and the service was fantastic. We found the staff always smiling, friendly and helpful and we even got a free upgrade while we were there simply because they had a better room available. The food was delicious, always fresh and a good mix of traditional and western food was available. We will absolutely be heading back to Tugu at some point (hopefully soon!), it really is an amazing place! Thank you to all the staff there who made our stay so wonderful.Mie Cafe: "Fantastic fusion"
"My wife and I had dinner and we were there in the early evening so had no trouble getting a table. This restaurant serves Khmer fusion which took us by surprise in that the dishes were visually stunning and amazing to eat - flavoursome with texture things going on, just brilliant. Not to be missed."Reverie Siam: "Sophisticated and stunning without being pretentious"
We loved our stay at the Reverie Siam. We took advantage of their free shuttle into town for night life which was easy and convenient. We also rode bike and also rented motorbikes to get to out of town adventures. It was always so nice to return to the tasteful serenity of the property. The details are just wonderful. We also appreciated a well executed menu and wine selections. What a wonderful getaway.Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Stunning views of Annapurnas"
"Loved this sanctuary at the foothills of the Annapurnas. The host was Super friendly and had dinner with us our first night. We had a villa just near the restaurant/bar which was quintessentially Nepalese. This is not for Budget travellers as the restaurant is on the expensive side and there's no where else in the immediate vicinity to dine. Stayed March 2017, traveled with friends"Maison Polanka: "Amazing! A paradise!"
"This was my second visit to Madison Polanka and it did not disappoint. From the minute you walk through the gate, you are greeted with peace, tranquility and beauty. The staff greet you by name, go out of their way to be helpful in every way but are not intrusive. They are thoughtful to your every need. Whether it be a cold towel when you arrive back from town, a cup of tea after your massage or buying you goggles from town when you have forgotten yours. No request is too little. This is by far the best boutique hotel I have stayed at- ever! The food is above expectation. Breakfasts are served next to the pool and lunch and dinner are a'la carte. The fish amok is amazing. Free, well maintained bikes are available for a 15 minute cycle into town, which include water, locks and ponchos during the rainy season. There is also the Friends restaurant, Marum a 5 minute walk that has beautiful food and is a NGO project. The Khmer house is out of this world, and would definitely recommend for a special romantic getaway. The rooms inside the house are also all beautiful and would thoroughly recommend. I really can't say enough about this place. You must go! Special thanks to Cathy the manager and Lawrence."Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Only one word: OUTSTANDING! A 5-star experience in Myanmar"
"After our trekking trip from Kalaw to Inle, we desperately needed some comfort, nice food and a good night sleep....and we couldn't have asked for more during our stay at Inle Heritage! This was - by far - the best hotel we have stayed in during our 2-week trip in Myanmar. The rooms are spacious and furnished with great taste and top standards, the view on the lake is stunning. There are only 6 rooms in the complex and the staff is extremely lovely and super-attentive. Importantly...the food is absolutely STUNNING: we had 2 dinners and breakfasts during our stay and everything we ordered was outstanding - I don't think you can find a restaurant with such high quality anywhere else in the country. Vegetables are taken directly from several lovely gardens cultivated by the staff and you can really feel the freshness of every ingredient. There are several other ""luxury"" accommodations on the lake, but none of them offers such a high level of hospitality and food - combined. We would choose Inle Heritage again and again!!! Yes, while in the room, you can hear the noise of boats passing by, but this didn't disturb us at all and the noise significantly decreases after 8-9pm in the evening. The hotel also offers complementary ear plugs so we could sleep like babies during both our nights. Last but not least, Inle Heritage is a non-profit organisation that looks after the cultural and natural heritage of the Inle Region, aiming at developing tourism while maintaining the original Burmese culture and way of life, and respecting nature. Given how quickly the lake is developing (with both pros and cons...) we were very happy to stay in a place that is run in a sustainable way and under these grate values. Don't miss it!!! Stayed December 2016, traveled as a couple"Rak Ko Jae Seoul: "Perfect last 2 nights in Seoul at this hidden gem"
"I stumbled upon RakKoJae as I was searching for unique experiences in Seoul. Sure enough, staying at RakKoJae was one of the highlights of my first trip to South Korea. I thought spending my last 2 nights here before I fly home would wrap up my travel great, and it did. Now where do I begin? The hanok guesthouse - Simply beautiful, tasteful, and serene. First night I stayed in Master bedroom, second night in Far bedroom. I love both rooms. But beyond the rooms, RakKoJae really gives you a wholesome experience. You aren’t staying in rooms. You are staying in a beautiful hanok house The experience - The natural jade flooring is awesome. It gives you the cool relaxing feel, especially in spring/summer season. The hinoki wooden bathtub is also great. The Korean breakfast is one you have to try in the morning (it’s really good). You could also try on hanbok during breakfast time. Fun to wear it, take photos, with hanok environment as Instagram-worthy-background. Don’t forget to try out the yellow mud sauna. I stayed for about 30 mins, sweating but feeling anxious at the same time. It was really soothing that I almost fell asleep! The staff - Mr. Kim, the General Manager, was really attentive and helpful since the beginning of reservation, during my stay, until bidding me farewell as I leave RakKoJae for the airport. Thank you for your kindness and your hospitality On my last night, it was drizzling in Seoul. Relaxing on RakKoJae’s patio, reading a book, and enjoying the house’s evening view? Couldn’t ask for a better experience. I shall return one day and try Patio Room next time :)"
