Tugu Lombok: "Quirky and Charming"

Review by: TootlepipSussex | Source: tripadvisor.com
What a delight the Tugu is. My husband and I had 3 nights here in a Bhaghavat gita suite. This could not be faulted, with its unusual outside bathroom and superb view to the beach it was lovely. The staff are charming, helpful and keen to make your holiday the very best for you. Being able to eat dinner wherever in the grounds or on the beach watching the fisherman walking at low tide catching squid was a unique experience.  We took a trip in a horse and cart round the local village and saw the sunset at another beach (the one at the Tugu is for sunrise!). The beach is amazing and with the Gilli isles in sight, the view is lovely. The whole place is very relaxed and I would say they have the recipe just right. We loved it and can't wait to return.

Rachamankha: "Tranquil and elegant oasis"

Review by: Ajvmel | Source: Trip Advisor
This is an aesthetically pleasing, extremely quiet and comfortable hotel with luxurious accommodations and a welcoming friendly staff. Our family of four (two grown children) stayed in a two bedroom suite connected by a spacious living room with a kitchen stocked with place settings to allow an evening in with delicious take out food from the neighboring chicken (Thai) place. The beds are wonderfully comfortable and the pool and included breakfast were lovely. Very special and highly recommended!

David’s Kitchen: "Almost wheel-barrowed out!"

Review by: roylamsam | Source: Trip Advisor
My wife and I were celebrating a year after getting married in Chiang Mai. There were whispers around town that David's kitchen was an excellent restaurant and we decided to chance our luck and book a day in advance. Luckily enough we managed to get a table and our dining experience surpassed anything we imagined! Everything was lovely. The ambience, the company, the setting, the staff, David himself came to chat to us (interesting man!) and the whole restaurant was thoroughly enjoying itself immensely. Most importantly, the food was incredible. We tried the escargot, the pumpkin soup, the signature beef cheek as well as the bourguignon. After that, we couldn't help but try their desserts in the sticky toffee pudding and the chocolate souffle. By the end of it, we were so relaxed, happy and content that indefinitely felt like we needed to be wheel-barrowed out of the restaurant. I offer my highest recommendation to anyone visiting Chiang Mai. Food lovers would leave David's Kitchen saying Chiang Mai definitely has a top restaurant in town.

Dewakan: "Great experience"

Review by: Kritz_Y | Source: Trip Advisor
"Just checked their website and they seemed to have changed their menu! Seems like what I had was a mixture of their old menu and the new one. Snacks (Choy Sum Nori, Beef Tendons, Mango Curry, Yoghurt and Roselle): Choy Sum Nori was quite cool and memorable! The others were ... interesting? Could be too weird for some. Starters (Blue Mackerel, Roast Mushrooms, Grilled Vegetables, Home Made Noodles): Quite liked the roast mushrooms. Was told to eat from right to left, but perhaps plating it from left to right would be make more sense since most people hold their forks on the left and knives on the right? Just a suggestion! The noodles weren't that great, however. Mains (Pike Conger, Duck, Quail): The highlight of the night! I really loved each of the 3 main dishes, but sadly two of them don't seem to be on the new menu anymore. Probably one of the most memorable dishes I've had. Desserts (Mulberries, Gula Melaka, Chocolate Tart, Popsicles): The 3 desserts from the menu were great. At the end they gave us 3 additional popsicles even though we were absolutely stuffed by then. Really didn't like the weird popsicle flavours, but to each their own perhaps? Can't imagine it would be popular since none of us liked the popsicles. Service was great, however some were a little too soft-spoken when it came to explaining the dishes. Not sure if having descriptions left on the table would be too tacky but I would love to have something to refer to while eating."

The Island Lodge: "The most caring hosts"

Review by: Andrew S | Source: Trip Advisor
"The island lodge is a very special place. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like welcomed guests. We did the bike/boat tour with Michael through the banana plantations and seeing the locals going about their daily life, not another tourist to be seen. Every body is very friendly. And the whole lodge is beautiful. We will definitely return to the island lodge if visiting Vietnam."

samar: "Very nice retreat !"

Review by: A TripAdvisor Member | Source: tripadvisor.com
"We stayed in double bedroom apartment (4 people) and had a wonderful stay. Building and decoration of exquisite taste, remarkable artifacts you would not find in standard hotels, rooms in pre-existing local houses, refurbished with attention. Location is half way between crowded city center and Ankor Wat - tuktuk is definitely needed but arranged by the staff. Food is really good, and staff really helpful - they were kind enough to arrange for us a barbecue after an event outside. Very nice! The pool is very comfortable and enjoyable. We definitely recommend ! "

Tandjung Sari: "Traditional Bali"

Review by: Victoria B | Source: tripadvisor.com
"We had been recommended Tandjung Sari by friends and were not disappointed. This resort has prime position on the beach at Sanur in Bali. The restaurant and bar look out over the beach and are a perfect way to start the day and a fun place to people watch. (...) Every one is very friendly and helpful and made our stay so comfortable. The hotel made up a beautiful flower arrangement for my birthday which was special. The food at the restaurant is top quality and the breakfasts are delicious- especially the croissants. I highly recommend this resort for a traditional style Bali holiday with lots of comforts. Can't wait to go back."

Sandat Glamping Tents: "Top of the Top!!!"

An exclusive location, relax, high quality service, privacy and italian cuisine. If you look for all this, accompanied by a good chat with owner, you have to live your experience at this resort in Ubud.

Manda De Laos: "Spectacular oasis in Luang Prabang"

Review by: CarinAustralia | Source: Trip Advisor
We went for lunch on a very hot day....the setting is beautiful with lily ponds and orchids everywhere. The waiters are very attentive. I had the lunch special 'burger' so many interesting and delicious things on a soft bun. Pork floss (!!), the best caramelised onions, the fresh herbs, sausage and sauces. So good. Didn't need the buffalo rissole. Homemade icecream afterwards was lovely too. Photographers' dream.
