Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "the best and most special hotel of Penang"
Rooms are spacious and very elegant, the hotel is beautiful, full of history, location is excellent, food is great in the restaurant, the tour is very nice, this is by far the best choice, stay at Blue Mansion when you go to Penang.Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Bliss"
Nothing like a few days here at the end of a journey through Karnataka. Great setting, attractive cottages, good service and excellent food. Breakfast ,lunch and dinner overlooking the sea what more can you want?Satri House: "How charming"
We stayed in Satri House for one week in August. This charming and luxury boutique hotel is quite unique with its "feels like family home" spirit. The hotel is composed of an ancient colonial type house surrounded by recent houses -but you can hardly tell, since the recent constructions look very much as if they had always been here. The decoration is tasteful in every details. The pool cools you down when it’s too hot. The staff is extremely helpful and smiling. And the food is just as great and tasty. Of course, all this has a price, higher than the many guesthouses in Luang Prabang, but it is worth any cent. And Luang Prabang is such a charming city. We are counting the days before we come back.Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Priceless!"
We were at the Golden Buddha Beach in January and we loved every minute of our stay! A big thank you to Valerie and to all the friendly staff who made our stay unforgettable. Now back to winter I wish I was still there. Amosmisool: "Paradise!!!"
After 8 flight connections and a 4 hour boat ride from the US, this place was just paradise! The passion that these 2 individuals have for this area of the world is evident in their respect and protection of the ecobalance of nature...from the use of only fallen logs for the buildings and furniture to the use of natural bacteria and plant life to filter the water services. The food was wonderful with a local influence and nice variety. The staff were from the surrounding and some far away villages and so very friendly. (...) Our dive guides on our boat, Marafel and Ferry, were so great to hang out with. So fun and friendly, and knowledgeable of the reefs and fishes! They even rescued our camera after we got excited with the mantas on our safety stop. Even though we don't know their names, all the behind the scenes staff were wonderful in making this vacation so relaxing and exciting at the same time! Even if you're not a diver, the house reef is wonderful for snorkeling and the view from the water cottages is breathtaking! We would go back in a heartbeat and I urge you to go and see this piece of paradise for yourself!! Terri F., St Jacob, ILLe Calao: "Fabulous dinner"
Everything from food to service was as great as is any 2 star Michelin!! Very creative food, unique minority food offering to discover the sample of local cuisine at its best. Dont be misled by the current rating. The restaurant just reopened and has had yet enough reviews. But for us was the best restaurant in town by a long stretch !Misool Eco Resort: "Unique and Amazing!"
"My wife and I have traveled enough to say this resort is one of the most amazing, unique places in the world. The story behind the why the resort exists and the process to create it so impressive. The diving, as many others have pointed out, is some of the best bar none. Yes...there are some challenges. Not the easiest place to get to. They could also do a better job with communication prior to arrival. (hopefully being solved soon) Once you arrive and get one night's good sleep, you will be so happy you made the journey. We did the 9+1 trip and that felt like a very good length. Next time (and there will very likely be a next time within the next few years) we will likely go for the 12+1. There is so much to do even when you are not diving but we spent most of our time diving because the dive team is great and its just so magical underwater. Of course you don't want to miss the dive when others in your group just spend 30 minutes with three mantas right? I could go on and on about why and how this team is making miracles in this tiny island but I prefer short reviews on trip advisor. If you love to see underwater life and have the time and money to make this journey, give it a go and have a wonderful experience."Sea Dance Resort: "Perfect"
I was wondering how to describe Sea Dance ,possibly if you can imagine the comfortable feeling of your home crossed with a five star hotel that is as near as I can get. The accommodation is exactly as described and photographed the staff are excellent Faith Helen and Poh are always mentioned and are great but every one of them are smiling and helpful, I wish I had space to give them all a name check. What ever you needed was arranged without fuss. The food was mouth watering , drinks the same including the complementary 'gin and tonic' ice lolly !!!! The beach is rocky but the pool is fab. I could go on but just to say from airport pick up to airport drop off Sea Dance was unbeatable.Tugu Lombok: "Sublime wedding"
Hotel Tugu in Lombok is absolute paradise. We had the most sublime wedding here in August 2016. The architecture and grounds are jaw droppingly beautiful and the staff are incredibly attentive. Hanny, Evi and their team did a fabulous job decorating the venue, beyond our expectations, and were on hand to attend to our every need. We got married on the beach with the ocean as our backdrop, followed by drinks and canapes in the garden and dinner on the beach. The decorations and flowers for the ceremony were simply stunning and the table centre pieces were perfect. Every detail was thought of and taken care of. The food was fantastic and we had one of the best cheese cakes I've ever tasted for our wedding cake. Our honeymoon suite was like a small apartment, with a huge bathroom and a super jumbo king size bed....that's a technical term!! The architecture, Indonesian artefacts and decor at this hotel provide endless photo opportunities, not to mention the stunning beach. If you're thinking of having your wedding here, just do it! Our guests were blown away as we were and still talk about how amazing it was.Villa Song: "Boutique hotel, away from busy city"
If you are coming to Ho Chi Minh and want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city life, then this is the place to stay. The Villa Song Saigon is a very boutique-like hotel nestled in the ex-pat district of Ho Chi Minh. We immediately sensed we were in the nicer area of town, as gated estates filled the street. Although it is a longer taxi ride to get into town, the hotel does offer a complimentary boat shuttle into the city center. This ride takes about 15 minutes. The hotel rooms are very clean and breakfast is complimentary. They added a special touch by providing us a honeymoon cake. The staff was very friendly and we highly enjoyed our stay.
