Mie Cafe: "Fantastic fusion"
"My wife and I had dinner and we were there in the early evening so had no trouble getting a table. This restaurant serves Khmer fusion which took us by surprise in that the dishes were visually stunning and amazing to eat - flavoursome with texture things going on, just brilliant. Not to be missed."Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Characterful boutique hotel"
"When staying in Georgetown you are probably wanting to be immersed in the colonial character of the place, so staying in a beautiful restored mansion with a fascinating history is a logical and excellent choice - one that we did not regret in the slightest. Nor was it particularly expensive compared with other hotel options We enjoyed learning the history by joining the guided tour (free for guests) and were able to admire the décor and feel of the place both at breakfast time and in the lounging area outside the rooms. Our room was in some ways relatively basic but perfectly adequate and again had character. The service was friendly and helpful. The hotel location is good - on the edge of the heritage area and near to an excellent food court dining and entertainment complex. Breakfast selection also good with small buffet and also a la carte choices including some unusual ones such as green tea pancakes. No juices on the buffet but they brought us some freshly squeezed on request. No hesitation to recommend."Talabgaon Castle: "fantastically beautiful place"
We stayed in the hotel in March 2016 with friends. it is absolutely awesome place, the building of the hotel unimaginable beauty, vast numbers itself, a large area, the silence all around, a large outdoor pool with a mini-waterfall and fountains nearby, peacocks walk, chipmunks running around, there are stables and a golf polo. I liked very much. Clean, quiet, the staff is calm, friendly, home, too. Atmospheric and quiet.Tugu Bali: "Truly immersive Balinese gem"
Tugu is surely among the most incredible, moody hotel I have ever stayed at. The hotel and rooms are designed with a unique blend ethnic & traditional luxury from another era. We stayed at the Rajang suite with a sea view. The Room featured an enormous elevated bed that made us feel like part of the local royalty. We absolutely loved the food and taking our breakfasts in the covered daybed in the garden facing the waves and surfers going on their favorite activity. Perfect place for a romantic holiday. We will definitely go back.Talabgaon Castle: "Nice hotel with AMAZING hospitality"
"Well, it was a long weekend break, and the wife and I didn't want to miss the opportunity to do 2 things - 1. Visit Bhangarh Fort - which is rated the most haunted place in India 2. Unwind and do practically nothing - as our work schedules are quite hectic On our way from Gurgaon, we covered Bhangarh Fort which is little detour off the route to Lalsot, then carried onto our final destination - Talabgaon Heritage Resort. The road till Lalsot Via Manoharpur - Dausa is quite good, with less traffic and we managed to cover the 290 Kms in about 5 hours. However, on the way back we took the Alwar route, road again is very good however the traffic on this road is more, hence took about 6 hours to reach. The resort is well off the grid, so basically nothing to do but relax at the hotel once there. This is made easy by the fact that the property is quite huge, very well maintained, the staff is ever so polite and eager to help, cleanliness is well taken care of and the food is simply AWESOME !! Dinner was by the pool side both nights, which was a nice arrangement with an army of staff standing by to force feed you :) Mr Narindra Mitra, the GM at the hotel, definitely deserves special mention for making sure we have a pleasant stay and managing the entire hotel/staff so well. Will definitely visit here during my next road trip maybe later this year. Couple of things which readers should be aware of while visiting the place - 1. There is no 4G/3G here for sure, so forget your laptop/ iPad at home and maybe tell the Airtel woman to come down here and do her crappy advertisement :) 2. Wi-Fi wasn't working throughout our stay due to some issue 3. Pool isn't really something to write home about and can be best avoided (The Management should make an investment and get this fixed)"Kinabalu Park: "A Paradise up in the hills"
My cousin and I stayed at one of the units in Nepenthes Lodges managed by Sutera Sanctuary Lodges. The lodges are located right in the heart of the Unesco World Heritage Site. We had the luxury of a two storey lodge with two bed rooms, a balcony, a nice sitting room with a fire place and a kitchen. The place is well run. I would like to commend the manager, Alvina, who was very concerned about us after we checked in, as it was raining heavily. She made sure that our small requests, including room service, were met with great efficiency. From the lodge, we could see Mount Kinabalu, the highest mountain in Southeast Asia, and misty rain forest around us. It was so relaxing staying in the lodge and taking cool walks to see the flora and fauna in a natural setting. Temperature at this 5,200ft highland was very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and appreciate the good service.Villa Song Saigon: "Phenomenal hotel"
Cannot speak highly enough of this gem of a hotel. Location, room, food, service - all absolutely formidable. Will be recommending to any friends heading to HCM. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable, you have a wonderful team of staff.Villa Song Saigon: "Truly amazing hotel, elegant, style and great service"
"We wanted a special hotel to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary and after lots of searching we found the best in Ho Chi Minh City. You could not fault anything about the hotel from the moment we contacted them to make a reservation to the moment we left in the taxi they arranged for us to return to the airport. We loved the setting, right on the Saigon river where we got to enjoy our breakfast everyday watching the boats go by in the beautiful restaurant and terrace. Chef Kevin is an amazing cook and each meal was mouth watering with lots of local flavours. We had upgraded to a sanctuary villa but found the room a little to small for us so they gave us a better room overlooking the restaurant and river. We loved our new room and the way they handled our disappointment. Please note that all 23 rooms are very different and vary in size, we looked at many as we are coming back in September for my hubbies birthday, we hardly ever go back so that says it all about Villa Song. The highlights of the hotel are the beautiful rooms, gorgeous pool, elegant decor, water setting, private hotel speedboat to the city centre, delightful staff and exceptional food with all day breakfast as well as a very clean environment. Also the local restaurants they recommend were excellent with some lovely locals shops and coffee shops a very short taxi ride away. The hotel is about a good tweet minute taxi ride from district 1 after the speedboat stops about 6pm, it is so worth staying in this beautiful area. All of the staff were very courteous and made our stay out of this world. Cannot wait to go back to one of the best hotels ever. A special thanks to Yega, Nhu and Vinh for making our stay blissful and memorable, you truly showed us that great service is still out there. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g293925-d1554688-r381751802-Villa_Song_Saigon-Ho_Chi_Minh_City.html#"Talabgaon Castle: "Lovely secluded heritage hotel"
"Stayed for a night at the Talabgaon Castle with my husband. It was intended to be a night stop-over to break our road trip from Ranthambore to Delhi. But, to our surprise, it turned out to be so much more than comfortable beds and clean sheets. Although a little ways off the main highway (a few miles on a narrow village road), it was certainly worth the detour. A beautifully and functionally restored Rajasthani heritage property, the Talabgaon castle has comfortable and well appointed rooms and bathrooms. Large gardens with intimate seating areas (and, the main garden/lawn has a resident emu.....along with a few peacocks passing through), a nice swimming pool with ample sunbeds and a seating area, and a restaurant, offering both indoor and al fresco courtyard dining. Dinner was good with plenty of variety on the menu. The only two letdowns were the very limited choice and and taste of breakfast, and the TV (it was a small box TV with no channels). But, given the location and alternative ways to spend our time, we did not really miss the TV too much. And, are happy to give this property a 5 star rating and a recommendation of ""do visit""."tugu bali: "Staying in the middle of art and culture"
"We were travelling with three small kids (3,5,7) and Tugu hotel in Canggu was our last stop in Bali after staying in Intercontinental Jimbaran and the villas in Ubud and Lovina. We were looking for something different than the large chain hotels and Tugu hotel turned out to be just the right place. The hotel does not belong to the Small Luxury Hotels, Relais&Chateaux (they do not have any hotels in Indonesia yet?) or Boutique Hotels, so we found it kind of accidentally as our friends had recommended to stay in Canggu area and hotel Tugu is #1 in Canggu. The hotel could easily fit into the quality standards of the small luxury hotels. Although the hotel has a pool, this is not the reason to come to this hotel. There are hotels with bigger and better pools. Tugu hotel is for the guests who love architecture, art and culture, who are excited about original interior design and high quality antiquities and handicraft surrounding at every step: in the room, in the garden and literally everywhere. The service was perfect even on the background of the Balinese being in general polite and friendly. I would like to give special thank you to Pande Dwipa for an excursion in the facilities: Tugu hotel is an exquisite art museum and hotel in one. I can only admire the vision of the hotel owner Anhar Setjadibrata, to share the art he has collected with the guests in his hotels. Tugu hotel is definitely ""worth a detour"", to use a Michelin term. "Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
