Locavore: "A wonderful experience."
"Fantastic fine dinning in the heart of Ubud. The seven courses plus matching drinks were excellent and delicious, as was the pre dinner 'snacks'. The highlights for me were 'into the sawah' and 'bubur sumsum'. The service was outstanding with each dish and drink fully explained by the waitress. My partner and I left full and very satisfied. The experience is not cheap by any means but certainly worth treating yourself when in Ubud or Bali."Kinabalu Park: "Lovely experience at the lodge"
"Most people will travel on the day to HQ prior to their climb but this year, I decided to stay at HQ so it will not feel so rushed the next day. This turned out to be the best idea. We came as a group of 4 and were given a private room to ourselves. Everything was very clean and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. Towels were provided and so's bottles of water and added bonus, we have tea/coffee making facility in our room! What a treat. Overall, I would recommend it to anyone thinking of hiking up Mount Kinabalu .... stay a night at the park prior to your climb."Slow Villas and Spa: "Le paradis sur terre"
Thank you so much to Paul and his fabulous team for 5 wonderful days at the Rachamankha. Tranquil, serene, relaxing, and a great way to re-charge your life batteries ! Nothing was ever too much trouble and we felt very at home. Quality F&B too at the restaurant. Trying to work out when I can get back there soon.Locavore: "A Treat for all the Senses"
One of the 10 best meals I've ever had in my life. My husband and I each had the five course tasting menu, sharing the meat and vegetarian options. We simply lost count of the "extras" we were given. The food was fresh, imaginative, gorgeous, and so delicious! A meal like this in Manhattan would cost four times as much - and would not be presented by such delightful servers. I'd go every week if I lived near Ubud.Villa Song Saigon: "Superb!"
Wow! I don't even know where to start! It was the lap of luxury. It oozed style, chic and elegance. The large French colonial style fans in the rooms and hallways created a wonderful atmosphere. Our room was large and stylish. The swimming pool area was immaculately clean and well attended with constant supplies of ice water. The breakfast was absolutely exceptional. We were looked after by Freddie who put a lot of effort and personal touch into serving us. Regular speed boat free shuttle into the city centre means you are just minutes from the buzz of Ho Chi Minh. I would definitely recommend this hotelMaison Polanka: "Secluded Oasis"
An oasis of calm , good food, and excellent service. Such friendly and welcoming staff. Rooms are superb. You really are in another world once you have passed through the gates. Just check on the next door neighbors building project as this could affect the peace and quiet.Supanniga Eating Room: "A regular comfort place"
It has become my to-go place whenever I have foreigners from abroad and when I wish to indulge in some traditional Thai fares. I never get bored of this place and I am always proud to present. Food is excellent, taste is amazing, service impeccable and great cocktails! Never hesitate or doubt whenever I recommend my friends... Truly an address to be proud of in Bangkok! Kudos Suppaniga team!Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "A Unique and Amazing Hotel – Incredible service!"
"We wanted something a bit special for our stay in Penang and to capture the feel of the culture rather than stay in a plain hotel - simply, this property is amazing. The rooms are fantastic and you really feel like you are stepping into a piece of history! The food was great and there are additional benefits like easy free parking, easy walking access to the sights of georgetown and free tour of the mansion which is one of main tourist attractions on the island. The staff could not have done more, in fact we owe them a HUGE thank you because in our rush to leave the room we left our passports in the hotel safe. We only realised when we were 4 hours south of Penang, we needed to fly on Monday and it was a weekend and there were no courier companies working. The General Manager arranged for one of the staff to drive all the way to us to deliver the passports by 10am on Sunday!!! Unbelievable. 100% recommend staying here if possible or visiting for the tour!"Locavore: "The food were bold, well executed, well thought of,"
"Initially I was just curious about this restaurant in Ubud that people and media were talking about, and decided to give it a try. I went there for lunch and tried their 7 dishes (which turned out to be almost 14 dishes in total!). The food were bold, well executed, well thought of, and full of passion and love. It is as if they are not being humble at all, they are making a statement, what coming out from the kitchen is not just usual dishes we eat every day, it is extraordinary. I saw all chefs are busy in the kitchen, and they are quite mobile as they make time to go to our table and explain about each and every dish. I believe this is something we don’t see often in similar restaurant in Bali, maybe in Singapore or Hong Kong, but Bali? I dont think so. Service team looks impeccable, they dress up casual yet very neat and they are very professional too. When it comes to the price, a restaurant this caliber could have charged arms and legs, but this one surprisingly worth the whole experience (it was 850k++/pax ) Having had a great, memorable and satisfying lunch in Locavore, Ubud, it has set for me a high standard of a posh lunch should be, and by far the best lunch I ever had in such a long time. So, if you plan to try them, make a booking at least 3 weeks in advance, if you are lucky."
