The River Resort: "Mekong glorious"

Review by: 張 亭 | Source: Trip Advisor
"We got upgraded for being the first Taiwanese visitors in its much venerated history (lol) and the river view is so very good, even a terrible photographer could shoot a photo with hues like Apocalypse Now or King Kong. Food is actually unexpectedly good, all the staff are wonderful people, I could not come up with anything to complain except that it's kinda weird with hotel this big and visitors this scarce, a bit ""Get Out"" as my friends and I had consensus upon."

Inle Princess Resort: "Paradise in the middle of another paradise"

Review by: martains | Source: Trip Advisor
"The hotel lays on the lake, and you need to get there by boat. The trip is so relaxing you starting getting into the rythm. The last part of the trip, has to be done rowing, they do not allow the noise of the boat motors bother their customers. It is just incredible. They preserve the customer rest and we even got a note from the direction apologizing because a monastery nearby had night prayers due to some festivity. The room we got was facing the lake directly. We woke up in the morning with the amazing views, and even some ducks feeding right below us. We enjoyed the best sunsets and dawns from our room porch. We visited in December, one of the coldest months there (around 18-20 ºC) but we got the option to light our chimney (yes we had one) and warm up there. The restaurant was spacious and the food amazing. They service was super educated, we got a waiter very young that clearly was being trained and we could only praise the teacher and the pupil. We did not fully use the rest of installations, but we really enjoyed our stay. I would come back if I could."

The Apsara Rive Droite: "Simply amazing – the hotel’s current rating does not do it justice!"

Review by: JanusAAA | Source: Trip Advisor
"If serenity, excellent service and a small boutique hotel is what you after, then this is definitely the #1 hotel in Luang Prabang. - nine guest rooms - swimming pool - literally five minutes to old town Luang Prabang by private boat but far enough to get away from the noise and the traffic - personalized on-site management - staff that go the extra mile to make you feel special - no televisions in guest rooms - intimate breakfast environment My wife described our short holiday as an unexpected second honeymoon. Thank you to Mr Hann and staff!"

Tugu Bali: "Very lovely"

Review by: SamanthaP36 | Source: Trip Advisor
"A true TUGU experience. Peaceful, good service. They have a lawn area with direct access to the beach.Turn left and the beach goes on forever and it's a clean beach too (a rarity in Indonesia). Anyway the room are beautiful, it has a lovely garden and as usual the hotel is full of antiques and artifacts. To note: The rooms upstairs have access via a spiral staircase, it quite steep. (this might be a consideration for some if you have mobility restrictions or don't like heights) The restaurant was good but pricey for the quality (I'm used to Jakarta price/quality ratio)"

Yandabo Home: "Wonderful hotel that tastes like home"

Review by: Marian B | Source: Trip Advisor
Coming from the busy and noisy Yangon, spending two days in Yandabo Home makes you feel like in heaven. Beautiful rooms with a crazy chic style; very few places like this in Myanmar. One of the best trained staff in the country. Totally worth going!!!

Cuca: "Outstanding restaurant"

Review by: Cas-Perth | Source: Trip Advisor
I took a friend to Cuca on our first night in Bali and we were absolutely wowed by the entire experience, so much so that we returned the following night to try the rest of the menu and double up on a couple of favourites from the previous evening. The ambience and service is top notch but the food is amazing! Hard to describe the mix of flavours, freshness and presentation. Each dish was a photo opportunity and a taste explosion. I can highly recommend a visit.

Villa Song: "Lovely Saigon hotel in quiet location."

Review by: Ray L | Source: Trip Advisor
Quiet location right on river, lovely Colonial - style hotel with many pluses. Friendly, helpful staff with a high service ethic. Good dining experience, attractive room overlooking the Mekong. Own fast motor boat for complimentary speedy transfer to City.

Villa Song Saigon: "No. 1 Hotel … deservedly so"

Review by: travel1042 | Source: Trip Advisor
We stayed at the Villa Song Hotel for our first night in Vietnam and for our last 3 nights and we have nothing but good things to say. All the staff are extremely helpful and friendly, the food is excellent (including the breakfast which is served all day), the hotel is in a perfect position by the river - so quiet and peaceful after visiting HCM. and the free boat shuttle service is a wonderful way to visit the city. The hotel deserves all the good reviews it receives and hopefully will be no.1 for many more years.

Blackitch Artisan Kitchen: "Thai Degustation"

Review by: NQPsych2U | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stumbled across this diamond in the rough after dodging a restaurant with a sick (coughing/sneezing) waitress and another with no fan or a/c working. After dodging these first world problems we wandered past the nightlife at the surrounding bars and noticed Blackitch. Artisan kitchens can be rather hit and miss but this location is quaint coupled with enticing reviews welcomed us in. Obviously we didn't reserve a spot prior to dining and after a brief discussion with the kitchen hands the sous chef encouraged us to dine. We were unsure what to expect with no menu or information about the experience other than a drinks list. The house made plum wine was superb over ice and my partner enjoyed the root beer (sarsparilla for those playing in Aus). We were delighted from the first dish of the degustation through to the dessert. The chef showed pride and pleasure with our dining experience adding to the evening. Yes the price is significantly more than what you may pay elsewhere however the quality and personalised service for both of us including drinks for circa 4,500BHT is reasonable in comparison to other degustation dinings. Our favourite dish was the duck blood sausage followed by the banana fritter dessert. Unfortunately the only pic I managed was that of an empty bowl as I devoured the bouquet of flavours shortly after each serving. Recommended for a couples night of fine dining."

Les Maisons Wat Kor: "Cozy, lush boutique hotel heaven"

Review by: The_Canadian_Drifter | Source: Trip Advisor
"My wife and I recently stayed for one night and were impressed with Maisons Wat Kor. Situated away from the noisy downtown area, the cosy hotel offers a secluded resort feel that is all about tranquility. You will find a swimming pool and a large, picturesque water Lilly pond. The staff are all smiles and friendly and service is prompt and professional. Strong wi-if is available throughout the property. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were soft and clean. Both a ceiling fan and an air conditioner were available in room. Dinner incorporated a set menu that focused on local Khmer cuisine. Vegetarian options were also available. The food was fresh and high quality although sour soups and lotus root are not really to my liking. My wife's vegetarian selections were found to be very delicious as not a grain of rice was left to waste. Breakfast included a choice between continental and Khmer (ie. noodles). The continental breakfast was basic but satisfying however the better choice is the the noodles with vegetables. Although a short stay, it was very comfortable and we enjoyed all aspects of this boutique hotel. If it is good enough for Angelina Jolie (she stayed recently while filming in Cambodia) than it is good enough for us!"
