Tugu Malang: "Unique, Stylish, & All-Time Favorite Hotel"

I love this hotel. It's an incredibly unique place that's adorned throughout with Indonesian antiques, and it also has an incredible antique shop for browsing or buying (not to mention a very large and well-curated selection of Balinese silver jewelry, both contemporary and vintage). The rooms are fantastic, filled with super stylish antiques, art, and fresh flowers. The hotel also has incredibly cool stationery in each room, reminiscent of grand hotels of the early 20th century. Melati Restaurant, part of the hotel, serves some of the best food in all of Java. This place is truly special and has to be one of my favorite hotels anywhere in the world.

Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Amazing experience"

"I had a very enjoyable experience on my two night stay at Noel Rodrigo's Leopard Safaris. The accommodations were great and the food was wonderful. The team was very friendly and the guides very knowledgeable. The team takes care of every detail of the stay so I didn't have to worry about anything. After every game drive, the staff was waiting to greet us with fresh cool towels and water. Overall, a wonderful and amazing experience and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for adventure without compromising on comfort."

Hotel Tugu Lombok: "Simply The best resort in Indonesia"

"The Tugu is not a Hotel, is an experience. Is one of The best Resort I have ever been. All is exceptional and unique. The art pieces, the structures, the decorations, the furnitures, the optimal service, everything. One of the places where I wish life will take me back. Feel blessed for having been there.."

Manda De Laos: "Lovely innovative cooking in special location"

"This is something of a hidden gem tucked away in a side street away from most of the tourist area. The impressive building surrounds a beautiful lily pond and is a lovely place to eat lunch or dinner. Quite romantic. The food was superb. Lao cooking with a twist. I would especially recommend the succulent spare ribs and the do it yourself lapa or minced lamb salad starter which is really tasty and great fun to ""make"" yourself by the table. The bamboo fish was interesting although not my favourite. Cocktails and wine also great."

Le Passe-Temps: "Year End dream family"

Spent ten wonderful days at Hobbies for Christmas and New Year 2018 with our 3 children and spouses and 10 grandchildren (4 to 16 years). Excellent beachfront location with excellent restaurant on perfectly shaded beach (but not swimmable at low tide). Bungalows very comfortable (excellent bedding, top bath, perfect cleanliness). Decoration of the whole site and original and neat premises, Zen atmosphere. Excellent home owners Olivier and Kiet, the manager of the site and the entire available and smiling staff. The day trips are offered all quality and well organized and we have programmed a day (exploring local islands and Phi Phi, the Phang Nga Bay, jungle, caves, temples, markets and city ​​Krabi ..). We found perfect balance breakfast (excellent) took quietly, a day spent exploring and return late afternoon to enjoy the Hobby - pool, aperitif with magical sunset and dinner. Children and Grandchildren delighted with the stay.

Slow Villas and Spa: "So well thought"

"This place is extraordinary. We stayed for 4 nights. We are a family of 4, 2 adults and an almost 5 yr and an almost 2 yr old. We stayed in the 1 room villa with a baby cod. The almost 5 yr old slept in the big bed with us. Not ideal but it was ok. Slow did offer a separate additional bed for the 5 yr old but it would have taken up quite some space, leaving almost none left. We would go back anytime and even stay as we did of that is the only option. Indoor outdoor melts together when sliding up the 3 big glass doors facing the pool. The garden is big and leaves you with the impression that it could have been smaller without reducing your feeling of it being spacious. The bath room is outdoors. Nicely build and designed as the rest."

Arumdalu: "Calming Escape from Urban Life"

"If you ever find yourself in a sea-tuation in need for a peaceful green retreat and a doze of Vitamin Sea, then the answer you're looking for is Arumdalu Private Resort in Belitung. My first-ever trip to Belitung and Arumdalu surpassed all my expectations of a private resort in a small developing island- less known than Bali. We stayed a total of three days and two nights. Absolutely ah-ma-zing! Throughout our stay, the staff members are all very friendly, extremely polite, and offer helpful services 24/7. On my very first night, we were having trouble with the wifi connection from our multiple devices. It was past midnight when I called the front desk for assistance. The receptionist assisted us for a long time over the phone and maintained his professionalism all throughout. We were very thankful for his patience and kindness. The whole facility is really gorgeous, with beautiful architectural details and greenery. Everything seems to be thoughtfully designed and managed for the sole purpose of comfort and privacy. This place offers absolute privacy (underlined and bolded.) On top of its general secluded location and the private beach, each villa is designed with complete privacy in mind: gated entrance, dense greenery as partitions between villas, and a personal swimming pool. There is also a sense of exclusivity through minimal interaction with the staff on daily basis. For instance, there is no specific timeframe for room cleaning service and the staff wouldn't knock on your door to clean up your space. Everything is only a phone call away. How convenient! Another highlight is ‘Sahang Beachfront’ restaurant. The restaurant evokes a strong cozy ambiance. The wooden glassed space with home-styled table decorations creates an extremely familiar intimacy. The veggies and fruits used as ingredients are organically grown and freshly picked from in their own garden. Bottom-line: the food here is worth the calories to satisfy your palate. Personal side note, as an architect that values design and craftsmanship as well as an avid believer of living a sustainable lifestyle, I feel an overwhelming sense of satisfaction staying in a resort that proactively shows and promotes its core values of their thoughtful quality design and eco-friendliness. Oh! Did I mention that I saw 6 dolphins by the shore while waiting for sunrise? Such a therapeutic comfort. Villa Song Saigon: "Heaven on earth"

We spent 3 nights here and loved every second of it. A short (complimentary) speed boat takes you into the city, good for a look around, but this hotel is perfectly out of the hustle bustle. Like a little oasis away from the noise. Not that theres anything wrong with noisy city hotels but having spent the rest of our trip admist the madding crowd we decided to try some peacefulness before heading home. Though Saigon was not our favourite destination on the Vietnam visit, Villa Song is most definitely our number one hotel! You won't be disappointed staying here. I wish I could stay forever! Thank you Villa Song.

The River Resort: "Great resort! Great location!"

"We were a group of 8, friends and family, and all loved our stay at the River Resort. The resort is stunning. The facilities and grounds were designed thoughtfully, are well kept and beautiful. The rooms were clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The views of the river from the resort are not to be missed. Best part of all was the team at the resort. Mr. Wech and his team took care of us so well from start to finish. They were nice, helpful and a joy to see every day. The resort location is perfect for exploring southern Laos. All the famous waterfalls and Bolaven Plateau were easy for us to get to by van, Wat Phou was only 20 mins away. The resort's proximity to Champasak Town (2km) allowed us to ride bikes into town, play petanque with the locals, visit all the interesting wats. It was also peaceful to spend the day at the resort, getting a massage, swimming, taking in the views and observing river life. Our group very much appreciated having these options which enabled us to experience Laos on different levels. The resort is luxury without the pretense. We loved our stay. I hope to be back there again."
