muang la: "A piece of heaven in Northern Laos"

Amit.THE ISLAND LODGE: "Great time in “l’ile de la licorne"
"We really had great time in Island Lodge. It deserves its name of ""secret retreat"". The location is amazing and totally surprising. The hosts really welcoming. They have decorated all the rooms and hotel with great taste. We highly recommend the boat and bike tour that give you unique experience of Mekong Delta. The homemade food is delicious and worths also the trip. Perfect getaway from Saigon...book quick there is not a lot of rooms! "Locavore: "Second time around, simply incredible again."
"We had tried Locovore a few years ago, sat st the kitchen and talked to the chefs while out 10+ courses came out. Loved it. Came back in December last year, we started as a 12, turned into 30, and they looked after us perfectly. Had some critiques on the crowd from Dubai, Hong Kong, London and Sydney. Full marks all around, and another meal that will sit as a life experience. Portions are not large, however they are incredibly ‘wow’. If you are used to American portions, eat first, for the rest, you will be ok. It is a must visit. It is one of the few restaurants in the world (that I have been lucky enough to try) that I would fly to a country to visit."tugu bali: "Staying in the middle of art and culture"
"We were travelling with three small kids (3,5,7) and Tugu hotel in Canggu was our last stop in Bali after staying in Intercontinental Jimbaran and the villas in Ubud and Lovina. We were looking for something different than the large chain hotels and Tugu hotel turned out to be just the right place. The hotel does not belong to the Small Luxury Hotels, Relais&Chateaux (they do not have any hotels in Indonesia yet?) or Boutique Hotels, so we found it kind of accidentally as our friends had recommended to stay in Canggu area and hotel Tugu is #1 in Canggu. The hotel could easily fit into the quality standards of the small luxury hotels. Although the hotel has a pool, this is not the reason to come to this hotel. There are hotels with bigger and better pools. Tugu hotel is for the guests who love architecture, art and culture, who are excited about original interior design and high quality antiquities and handicraft surrounding at every step: in the room, in the garden and literally everywhere. The service was perfect even on the background of the Balinese being in general polite and friendly. I would like to give special thank you to Pande Dwipa for an excursion in the facilities: Tugu hotel is an exquisite art museum and hotel in one. I can only admire the vision of the hotel owner Anhar Setjadibrata, to share the art he has collected with the guests in his hotels. Tugu hotel is definitely ""worth a detour"", to use a Michelin term. "Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Amazing experience – excellent service"
"Visited for one night on our honeymoon. Were greeted by the friendly Dhanu who drove us in the jeep to camp. Stayed in a couples tent. Tent was spacious, fans, proper flush toilet next to the tent, shower under the stars (they offer warm water shower). The lunch provided was the best Sri Lankan meal I have had in our holiday in this country. The flavours and variety was specialist. Trying all the different types of vegetables and spices. After lunch we went on our first game drive. We were so lucky to see Leopard resting on branch of tree. Saj was great at spotting the wildlife and very informative about the park, history, leopards etc etc. Lovely dinner under the stars and Noel was also there for the night which was great to meet him. We were up early for the dawn game drive. Again we were very fortunate to see he bears (one which charged the jeep) and 2 Leopards which we saw mating. Amazing experience and very lucky to have these encounters with the wildlife. Overall we had an amazing time and wish we stayed 2 nights. We were lucky to see that variety in wildlife in just 2 game drives. Highly recommend. Thank you to all staff, your service and hospitality was impeccable"Manda De Laos: "Exceptional!"
We came for lunch yesterday, and then dinner this evening. After dining here twice, I can confidently say it is an excellent restaurant! First, the setting is beautiful and serene, a true oasis in LPB. The staff are incredibly polite and professional, and go out of their way to make sure you are having a great experience. The food is delicious! A modern spin on traditional Laotian food. Everything we ate for lunch and dinner was really, really good. We were so happy we went back for dinner tonight! Finally, the cost of the meal is maybe slightly more than you would pay for a casual night out in LPB, but really, overall it is an awesome price for what you are getting. Tonight we had two glasses of wine, two soda waters, two appetizers, two mains, one dessert and two espressos, and the total cost was only around $70 USD - incredible! You will love this place!Flower Island: "Our favourite place in the Philippines"
"This is the perfect place for people like us - wanting to get slightly off the beaten path but with creature comforts such as good water pressure, comfy bed, good food...and most importantly, a beautiful beach with some of the best snorkelling right off the beach we have seen. (...) The snorkelling was incredible - such a beautiful, healthy reef with tons of fish. We were honestly snorkelling 3-4 times a day and it was always different. I am torn as I sort of don't want to tell too many people about this gem of a place but also want to share the experience as this is what we were looking for in the Philippines. Without a doubt the highlight of our trip in terms of places we stayed and we will absolutely go back. Thanks to all the lovely staff as well who made our stay so enjoyable."Villa Song Saigon: "Luxury by the river"
This hotel oozes luxury at every pore, and they have thought of every detail. The room was magnificent with a comfortable bed, beautiful interior and lovely bath soaps. Service was fantastic - helpfully booking dinner for us on each night and arranging for taxis to take us there. The food was amazing - so much so that it was a struggle (that I lost on each occasion) not to overeat at breakfast. The spa and massage was luxurious, the pool looked beautiful, and the riverside setting is beautifully peaceful. In fact my only criticims is that in making the hotel so very comfortable it was difficult to drag ourselves to leave to explore Ho Chi Minh!Tugu Bali: "Unforgettable"
"The experience starts in the wonderful lobby, when arriving at the Tugu. The old and marvelous pieces of furniture, the statues, the wooden passage among flowers and balinese symbols and, most of all, the warm and gentle welcome by the staff, gives you a first succulent taste of what the stay will be. This is confirmed throughout the entire time spent in Tugu's suites, true traditional balinese wooden villas, perfectly furnished and communicating that real old style luxury that you are probably looking for if you chose to stay in this place. It's expensive, but worth every single euro spent. I hope I will have the chance to come back. In one word: excellent!"
