Mie Cafe: "Fantastic dinner!"
"Just wrapped up dinner here. The food was creative and delicious (prawns with pumpkin curry was the highlight for me), and the service was prompt and friendly. The dining area had a lovely ambiance. The chef even came out to personally ensure we were enjoying our dinner. It was a great way to spend the evening- I'd recommend it to anyone looking to unwind and relax after a day of temple sightseeing!"Labyrinth: "Very beautiful food"
The food was tasty and presented beautifully! My friend and I loved the five course lunch menu and had a lovely time.Locavore: "A great dining experience"
I NEVER take photos of food. I cannot say that anymore. I took photos of every course and even the drinks. We had dinner there. Choice between 5 and 7 course meal. We went with the 5 course and worried that our 20 year old son might be hungry afterwards. First of all, it is not a 5 course meal - there are lots of other mini courses. And our son was full. Try the drinks and unless you need to pair wines with your food, keep to the drinks which are very good. You have a choice between meat and vegan meals. And we split it between our group of 4. One of the best meals we have had in a long time. Very good service too. Make a reservation online ahead of time to ensure being able to go there. For 4 people including drinks, around $75 per person which really is not bad for a meal of this caliber.Inle Princess Resort: "Outstanding – Beautiful, Atmospheric with Fantastic Service"
"Visiting Lake Inle is a unique experience, and this experience is doubly enhanced by staying at this splendid hotel. The approach itself is breathtaking, sitting on a boat being rowed by the boatman in the quaint one legged fashion peculiar to the region, you suddenly glimpse a vision in old teak rising out of the lake. The chalets are on stilts and the chalets we had were lake facing with simply incredible views. The rooms are beautifully furnished, a vision in old teak with old Burmese lacquer artifacts strewn about. The bathrooms were again fabulous, with a cosy outside shower. It was certainly pure luxury with splendid service in the middle of this area of outstanding beauty. The food was superb, we ate at the hotel's fine dining restaurant on both the nights we were there. Sitting out on the open terrace overlooking the water and sampling topnotch Burmese cuisine is an other wordly experience. The breakfast was also excellent. All of this was topped by the outstanding and sensitive service. When leaving the hotel plied us with little gifts of local handicrafts. I can't recommend this place highly enough. "Cuca: "Dinner"
We had dinner at Cuca our first night in Bali. We stayed at the Kayumanis Jimbaran and the restaurant was literally next to the resort so it was really convenient to get to. We both had the chefs tasting menu and a few cocktails. The presentation was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The value for the tasting menu is incredible. The rice tempura soft shell crab and the meat and potatoes were our favorite dishes. We would highly recommended!MesaStila: "Flavour of true and sweet Indonesia"
High level place, perfectly managed, top level food, wonderful garden and atmosphere, a rare sample of kindness from all the staff. All the forniture of the place is really antique. The pool view on the forest is unique.Thank you Mesastila.Les Maisons d’Itac: "Paradise on Earth"
Beautiful place, beautiful accommodation in a wooden cottage. Excellent host Bryan. Perfect place for relaxation and lovers of high-quality architecture that is perfect in every detail. You can snorkel right next to the hotel in beautiful coral reef. Home cooking was excellent. I would like to thank all the staff for a dream holiday.muang la: "Northern Laos a very special spa resort"
"Situated on a river with hot springs and nestled in beside a small village this Hotel taught us more about high quality cuisine and life in Laos than any other. It was unseasonably cold but with coal fires in buckets (!) at each table and a large fire pit close by we were never cold. Hotwater bottles in the beds, hot thermal tubs on stilts in amongst the trees, a pool on an island, I think you must be getting the picture that this is a pretty special place. From the hotel we visited hill villages and this is a great place to hike from. Picnics, 4x4 vehicles and guides, transfers etc all organised by this hotel. It is a remote part of Laos and therefore very unspoilt. This is a gem of a hotel in such a far away place "David’s Kitchen: "Amazing experience"
The food and the ambience were both excellent. We met the owner David who recommended a couple dishes for us to try. My husband had the duck, which he claims was the best he had ever had. I had the squid ink pasta, delicious! Overall experience was great! David made us feel right at home and was sweet enough to give us restaurant recommendations for the countries we are visiting after Thailand. Must try if you’re in Chiang Mai!Mrauk U Princess Resort: "Fabulous Food in a Fabulous Setting"
We were not staying here but came to look at the resort and eat a late lunch after four hours of visiting ruins on bicycles. We were hot and sweaty so definitely appreciated the cool, open restaurant. Delicious drinks. Delicious homemade bread, along with chilled cucumber soup, chicken sate, banana leaf shrimp salad, potato curry, and ice cream for dessert. Excellent service provided by Kyaw Soe Paing and the staff he was training. An expensive treat to ourselves but well worth it!
