Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Perfect"
Ordered vegetarian 6 course and there was not one item that was not good. Staff attentive, chef friendly, food so good if in Siem reap this is a must!Glenburn Tea Estate: "A hidden gem not to be missed"
A stay at the Glenburn tea estate is a truly unforgettable experience and we loved every minute of it. Whichever way you look from the delightful gardens or from either of the beautiful bungalows there is a wonderful vista, even when the mountains are shrouded in mist. Unfortunately for us, the weather was not at its best when we stayed in late March/early April, but we were lucky enough to be there for 5 nights and so we at least had 2 fabulous mornings when we were treated to the breathtaking views of the Kanchenjunga mountain range from the comfort of our room. Our room (Camelia) was fabulously spacious and beautifully decorated in English country house style with a lovely seating area, and French doors onto a small balcony with magnificent views. The bathroom was enormous with roll top bath and huge walk in shower. We did not see any of the other rooms but all other guests seemed just as impressed with theirs, and we gather the views are wonderful from each and every room. The food was delicious with an imaginative and varied menu and, despite initial reservations, we really rather enjoyed the communal dining in the evening. It was very interesting to meet such a variety of people from all over the world. I think perhaps my husband was a little bored on the last evening being the only man at a dining table full of rather verbose women! There was plenty to keep us amused during our 5 night stay with a visit to the tea factory, walks around the estate looking at the flowers, birds and butterflies, a lovely (though quite tiring) hike to the river camp with a tasty meal when we arrived, and a day trip into Darjeeling. We could have done a lot more but, after the hustle and bustle of Kolkata, and because the gardens were so idyllic, we relished in the opportunity to relax, reading, chatting, playing cards and drinking plenty of Glenburn First Flush tea! All of the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, and hats off to the multi-talented Nilima and Luna for being such lovely and well-informed guides, but also for running the shop and helping with the organisation of the staff welfare programme, amongst a multitude of other skills. A very big thank you to Jemima, Holly and all the staff for a truly memorable and delightful stay........ We hope we will return one day.Kinabalu Park: "Cool with strong wind"

What was our surprise in the middle of all the excitement of the city, and be in an oasis of greenery and tranquility the second surprise comes from the welcome when we received very warmly by Athy, one of the owner. This store human-sized hotel offers very spacious and comfortable rooms have simple, elegant décor. A swimming pool is at the center of each building and vegetation around it makes us think that we are outside of the city center. Breakfasts are hearty and very diversified, personalized even every day we received very good advice of Sebastian, 2nd owner, and Athy when the routes and trips to Bangkok We seemed to be received with friends and went back and told us that we would have stayed longer ...Maison Polanka: "Hidden Garden Gem with classic French Charm"
"Greeted at Siam Reap airport by Frances, a very pleasant young man from Masion Polanka private Villas, the chauffeur van waiting, was very comfortable and spacious. Being whisked away through the pleasant Cambodian countryside, arriving at Maison Polanka where a large security gate opened up the most tranquil garden tucked away within 5 minutes of Siam Reap town. We strolled through to reception, a cabana located by the large enticing pool, being greeted by local staff with refreshing hand towels and a long cool drink. Nothing was too much trouble for them, we were given Khmer House a stand-alone elevated original colonial home relocated some years ago to this site, that complemented the master house with its four self-contained luxury rooms. Our stay was magical, the food memorable, the decor was elegant and traditional, with a simple and personal touch from Nathalie (the owner) adding a splash of colour to each room is unique in its creation, Nathalie selects these from her collection of fabric designs out of her stores. We took cooking classes with Maison's Chef and relaxing massages on site, along with local tours to Ankor Wat and many other historic sites. Arriving back for afternoon tea by the pool every day at 3 Pm with freshly baked treats from the kitchen. Maison Polanka fulfilled every expectation of a luxurious holiday and more, we felt very special. Thank you so much for sharing your small space in paradise, we were so sad to have to move on continuing our holiday in Cambodia."Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Fabulous Stay"
"Visually stunning. Romantic / Family getaway Such an original and beautifully furnished resort clubhouse, set in a parkland of native trees with stunning individual luxury houses. Ours consisted of two traditional stilt houses with interconnecting balconies. Two vast unspoiled beaches. We love the walk along the beach and enjoy beach cleaning - every little bit helps! The resort also has once a week beach cleaning day. We saw plenty of hornbills. Beware of the monkeys. They can be quite entertaining but shut all your doors and windows when you leave the house. Every Saturday, a seafood grill buffet starts off with cocktails on the beach, where you get to meet more of your neighbors which is very nice and the atmosphere is great too. Valeria and her staff pay close attention to detail, which makes for an unforgettable experience. Stayed March 2017, traveled with family"Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Total relaxation"
Neeleshwar Hermitage is pretty much my favourite place in the world for total relaxation. Cottages on a long beach, sand between your toes at meal times, yoga, Ayurvedic treatments, the sound of ocean waves in the background and wonderful people who unobtrusively look after everything. Every need is met but with none of the trappings of the typical ‘luxury’ hotel. If you want evening entertainment, music, exotic imported foodstuffs, or the bright lights this is not the place for you. And please don’t expect it to change. The owners are committed both to sustainability and to this unique model of total luxury with a difference. If you like like peace and quiet and privacy come. As a couple of retired academics, for us it is very expensive, but worth every rupee.KHWAN BEACH RESORT: "Transit in Heaven"
"We spent only one night for transit in Khwan Beach, we selected the resort due its advert being first Gallery resort in Thailand, we were curious and we enjoyed over much that short stay next to beach with a manicured and excellent staff service , breakfast included was super great served in the villa, amazing privacy and yet a nice overview of the Ocean (and koh Phangan Island ) 50 meters away. Sure we will come back n stay longer... congratulation for the wholeover amazing decoration "The Hue House: "Visit from Sydney"
I was blown away by the fantastic food at The Hue House, the flavours danced on your tongue and stayed with you all through dinner, this is a restaurant you have to go to to experience true Vietnamese foodLe Calao: "One of the better restaurants in town"
Visited twice, good food, excellent service, smiling and smart staff. Have tables on several floors and terraces, indoor and outdoor. Situated in an old newly renovated house, well done. Highly recommend.
