Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Family friendly, excellent safari and food"

Review by: helwen2017 | Source: Trup Advisor
"We stayed in the camp for two nights with our five year old son. They entertained him and the staff was very child friendly. They were professional in showing us the best of the wildlife. The native food was delicious, eating outside under the stars was fantastic. They are a professional team in wildlife and we felt safe travelling with them. It was a excellent experience and we could highly recommend it as family adventure. Our son still talks about this experience. As we also stayed two nights in Wilpattu he has difficulties to decide if Yala or Wilpattu was the best but would love to go back to both. (So do we)"

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Serenity at its best!"

Review by: Allan Mitz A | Source: tripadvisor.com
I stayed at 4 Rivers for 3D/2N and it was really an extraordinary experience! Going to 4 Rivers was a long drive yet it was worth it! During our night time check in, my partner and I were able to see the adorable fireflies! They are so plenty that they look like Christmas lights! They are stunning and shines like a star. Though it is raining during my stay, it was a wonderful time to relax and leave the stress and get refreshed with the outstanding view of mountains and trees plus the friendly staff and Adonis who’s very attentive with our needs. I also want to give cheers to the Chef for the most unforgettable Crème Caramel I tasted during dinner! How I wish I could eat and bring home the whole piece! It is so delicious that I can’t resist to eat! Memorable experience, soothing ambiance, charming staff and thoughtful managers, appetizing food – perfecto!

Discover Muang La | Visit Laos | Luxury & Boutique Hotel: "Excellent"

Review by: Dan I | Source: Trip Advisor
Muang La Lodge is one of a kind--I stayed only two nights, but wish I could have stayed two weeks. The staff are charming and attentive, and have a way of foreseeing your every need. The food is fantastic--particularly the five-course dinners--and the service is top-notch. Highly recommend taking a nice soak (or fifty) in the hot spring, and making the trek to see the local villages in the hills. The rooms are comfortable and wifi is available, but let's be honest: those emails from your horrible boss can wait, and you can binge watch Netflix when you're not in paradise. In short, one of the most positive and relaxing stays I've had in a long time. So treat yourself--we all know you deserve it.

Inle Princess Resort: "Birthday Dinner"

Review by: Plum378 | Source: Trip Advisor
"We came to Inle Princess from another resort on the other side of the lake for a special birthday dinner organised by our agent. We were due to eat on the private island but unfortunately it was raining very heavily, so we ate in the wine cellar instead. I can't compare the wine cellar to the island as I never saw the island BUT the wine cellar was sooooooo gorgeous, I wasn't sad at all that we were moved. When we walked in, they'd decked it out with rose petals and candles in lotus pads. The table was made of a long canoe and the ceiling had this incredible painting of life on Inle on it. It was honestly the most beautiful wine cellar I've ever seen. They put some traditional music on and we had a waiter attending to our every need. We were then treated to a bottle of champagne and a six course feast. We started with home made breads and chutneys, then had a crispy pancake with herbs. The fish course was eel caught in the lake which we were dubious about but my goodness, it was delicious! Next came a cheese pastry with loads of yummy melted cheese in it. The main course was a selection of three meats plus a huge shrimp served with cauliflower gnocchi. The chef then came out to bring us desert herself, which was a trio of three homemade mouses served on a mini canoe. It was so pretty. She told us a bit about the food we'd eaten. Then to my surprise in burst ten or eleven resort staff, complete with a guitar and a chocolate cake, and sang happy birthday to me. They presented me with a lovely hand written card and a birthday present. As if this wasn't all enough, they then gave us homemade biscuits and the most amazing herbal tea. By this point I was stuffed and the cake had to come back with us in a box! All in all Inle Princess made this birthday very memorable for me and I wasn't expecting something so lavish. I would highly recommend them for a special occasion and for a unique dining private experience in the wine cellar!"

Maisons Wat Kor: "Mid trip treat"

Review by: cogde | Source: Trip Advisor
"This is beautiful place - the staff are friendly and speak good English- very quiet, food was great - $10 each for a 3 course lunch. Pork spring rolls and mango salad. $12 for dinner although we were away from the hotel for dinner the menu looked nice. Rooms are clean and well appointed. $85 for one night. A peaceful quiet place. Ideal for a couple. Drinks not cheap by Cambodian standards ( 2.50 for a beer) but it is so quiet and beautiful that it worth the visit. We stayed in a lotus room which is upstairs and not suitable for anyone with mobility issues."

Discover Muang La | Visit Laos | Luxury & Boutique Hotel: "Probably the best place I have ever stayed"

Review by: Kate M | Source: Trip Advisor
"My family and I spent two nights in this hotel as part of our trip around Laos in early January. I was immediately impressed by the homeliness of the hotel and the warm welcome we received from the lovely Dutch manager. The pool is absolutely stunning and the hot pools are so nice to spend time in. My only qualm is that the water in the hot spring is normally far too hot so it might be slightly better to mix the water with some cooler water. The staff are all very attentive, however the a la carte nature of the meals means that it can often take a little while for your coffee to arrive. The quality of the food is Michelin star. The dinners are amazing and I love how they involve so much local food. I would say that there is possibly a little too few carbohydrates for my teenage brother and I and some bread on the table would not have gone to waste. The rooms are really very nice, the shower was really warm unlike some of the other places we had stayed in Laos. The things I like most about this hotel are the ways in which they think about everything you could need. For example they offer to clean your shoes for you after a day of walking around the mountain villages or how they place towels by the hot tubs so you don't have to remember your own or how they create a little fire pit next to your table at dinner to keep you warm. My favourite must have been when we came home from dinner the first night to find a hot water bottle in the bed. Absolutely amazing! The activity that we went on was really interesting. Our guide was very well informed and answered all our questions. They were also very willing to adapt to our requests such as visiting the local health centre."

Inle Princess Resort: "Perfect"

Review by: eliza725 | Source: Trip Advisor
"We can entirely recommend this resort - in fact I can't think of a single criticism (except that wifi could be better, but that is true of everywhere in Myanmar. Give it time) The setting is lovely - the hotel insists that all boats arrive rowed with their motors off to keep the tranquility, which also means there is lovely bird life to observe. Food is delicious - and you can see their carefully tended organic vegetable garden. There are lots of little touches that make a difference - the personal welcome note on handmade paper, the mosquito repellant at dinner, the bikes, the little appetiser at dinner.... They say they are conscious of conservation and we saw evidence of that. plus the staff here seem genuinely happy Genuinely recommend."

Supanniga Eating Room: "Most delicious crab"

Review by: Mrs_Explorer_yolo | Source: Trip Advisor
Loved it! Tried three types of crab, my favourite was definitely the one in red curry sauce. Super friendly staff and a few new dishes I haven't seen at other Thai restaurants. Went back once more since I was dreaming of the crab...haha.

Villa Song: "New Years Eve Dinner"

Review by: Liesa29 | Source: Trip Advisor
"We had Dinner at Villa Song on New Years Eve. The Building is beautiful and when you arrive and walk down the way to the entrance, it looks very enchanting. Everything was lit up with light chains. The table setting was nice and the waiters were very attentive. The special menu for this evening sounded promising and did not disappoint. If I had to say which dish I liked the most I couldn‘t because every single course was delicious and beautifully arranged. The dinner was accompanied by live music and later by traditional vietnamese music. We didn‘t stay overnight this time but it’s definitely on our list."
