Rahai’i Pangun: "Reece trip on Katingan River & Sebangau National Park"
I was lucky to be part of this 5 days Reecee trip - a trip that hasn't been done before. It was very very well organised and the many transfers between the lovely Ruhui Rahayu river boat and the small canoes that brought us along the small black water tributaries, all went smooth. Staying in the stilted house on the black water lake, Danau Bulat, was great. It was wonderful to get special food treats from Ruhui Rahayu brought the 1 km into the lake. The highlight of staying in Sebangau National Park at the WWF lodge was great. So was trekking at night to set the photo trap. Sailing further into Sebangau National Park on the Panggu Alas black water river to the lake with the same name was equally exciting. A wonderful trip. Heavenly escape. Stunning empty beaches and classy set up. Individual beach houses with a central clubhouse which served up delicious and sophisticated menu with a limited but daily changing menu. This is not for folk who like to dress up for dinner in their best clothes. But perfect for anyone looking for a trendy but very relaxed vibe. Each beach hut is owned by individuals so each one different. Huts on beach are lovely. Sea lulls you to sleep.Everything was gorgeous but in an understated way. Travelling with husband and two young adult kids and we all loved it. Spa good and bar had a pool table. Nothing much to do - no shopping or places to go. Just beach, snorkelling, market trips, a boat, yoga and total unwind. Great staff. Perfect if quiet and peaceful is what you're looking for.Rachamankha: "magical"
Wonderful hotel organised by the superb Secret-retreats - wow ....amazing service, phenomenal hotel and felt like royalty - cant wait to get back !! The pool , the food , the staff nothing went wrong and so helpful !Rachamankha: "Beautiful, elegant hotel with amazing, friendly staff"
One of my best hotel experiences ever, and I travel a lot for work and pleasure. From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff made sure that everything was perfect for us. This small hotel has a very unique, authentic feel to it. I believe it only has about 26 rooms, so it has a small, elegant character. After spending several weeks site-seeing around Thailand, this was the perfect place to relax and unwind. Some highlights were the pool, which was never crowded and the hallways and sitting area at night which had amazing incense burning. The professional pictures of the hotel don't do it justiceCheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Cultural Hotel"
"Very much enjoyed this hotel/museum. The staff were attentive and informative . The free bikes a great idea . Well located. The female receptionist (song?) was extremely helpful with tips of where to go and advice . We only had a limited time in Vietnam so decided that a trip on the Basic 111 would be a good idea, and we were not disappointed. The cabin was small but had a very comfortable bed. There was airl con, small bathroom with shower and toilet. There are lots of photos taken by other tourists. Our english speaking guide was Annie. Wonderful lady who was on hand to offer advice and explain about all we saw. Only three cabins were occupied, us, one Belgian couple and an Irish couple, which made for very pleasant company. we had a superb lunch followed by dinner in the evening. We couldn't finish the supper as we are used to only having one large meal a day. Up at dawn the next day, just in time to catch the sunrise over the river. Worth getting up that early. Breakfast had warm freshly baked bread along with eggs marmalade etc.We also had a visit to Annie's home village where she explained about life there. Later on we visited a floating market, again worth seeing as our guide explained that with improved roads and bridges it most probably won't exist in 4 or 5 years. The trip on the Bassac came to an end with a visit to a market on land. I wish I had taken pictures in the first bit, a covered fish market but I was too busy trying not to step on people or fish! "We stayed at Golden Buddha Beach Resort for 3 Nights. The resort is surrounded by great nature and a beautiful, amazing Beach. It‘s very quiet except for all the great animal sound. Wild life nature The staff was very nice and super helpful with everything. Some sun beds on the big beach would have been nice since not every Bungalow is Beach front . Food was ok, small plates. If you need a Break from Thai food the beachbar serves Great Pizza. We definitely recommend this resort!"SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "must visit when in yangon"
My husband and me went for dinner to this amazing restaurant which is so lovingly handled by the chef and his wife. The food is amazing, service top notch and the place itself is so beautiful. I would recommend this over Le planteaur anyday. The food here is tastier and better value for price. They serve a starter plate and salads, tasting desert plate. Attention to details is amazing. Must not miss this when in Yangon.INLE PRINCESS RESORT: "Outstanding – Beautiful, Atmospheric with Fantastic Service"
"Visiting Lake Inle is a unique experience, and this experience is doubly enhanced by staying at this splendid hotel. The approach itself is breathtaking, sitting on a boat being rowed by the boatman in the quaint one legged fashion peculiar to the region, you suddenly glimpse a vision in old teak rising out of the lake. The chalets are on stilts and the chalets we had were lake facing with simply incredible views. The rooms are beautifully furnished, a vision in old teak with old Burmese lacquer artifacts strewn about. The bathrooms were again fabulous, with a cosy outside shower. It was certainly pure luxury with splendid service in the middle of this area of outstanding beauty. The food was superb, we ate at the hotel's fine dining restaurant on both the nights we were there. Sitting out on the open terrace overlooking the water and sampling topnotch Burmese cuisine is an other wordly experience. The breakfast was also excellent. All of this was topped by the outstanding and sensitive service. When leaving the hotel plied us with little gifts of local handicrafts. I can't recommend this place highly enough. "Neeleshwar Hermitage: "A serene resort by the beach"
Neeleshwar Hermitage is one of my favorites in Kerala, India. It has great villas that have spacious rooms, clean and scented, with relaxing music. The bathroom and toilet has an open courtyard inside. There's a pool and the beach to choose from if you want to go swimming. Food is also great and the overall ambiance is so serene.
