Tugu Bali: "Great place to stay"
"Tugu is comfortable, staff pay a lot of attention to your every need, very baby friendly. Breakfasts were great. Pool was a great respite from the heat (especially as the beach is more of a surfer's paradise). The rooms are very well designed with attention to detail. Every corner has a little, fascinating curio to be discovered. The sound of the beach in the distance is very calming. however, there are a few bars/clubs on the street behind which might have some loud music thumping into the night - you may or may not be perturbed by this. Great bars and restaurants near by and a few metres away from the beach. We'll definitely consider the Tugu for our next stay. Room Tip: all rooms have their own charm"Yandabo Home: "superbe hotel dans un site reposant"

This place is run by a charming and experienced Swiss couple who clearly know what they are doing - the ambience is great the food excellent and the service is good. We meant to go back again for lunch but sadly were not able to fit it in. Well worth a visit and highly recommendedTiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Idyllic retreat"
"Just outside Pokhara, on a hilltop and away from the blare of the horns, it was just the break I needed in this stylish lodge in its idyllic setting. With probably the very best views of the Annapurna mountains the view from my bungalow across the valley to the Fish Tail Mountain was enchanting. It was a lovely clear morning, so certainly a wonderful way to start the day. I'd visited Tiger Mountain Lodge a few years earlier, so I was delighted to return again for a weekend. Marcus Cotton, owner of the hotel is excellent company and I enjoyed very much chatting with him over coffee, sitting on the terrace overlooking the magnificent views. (...) On my second morning, I was very glad I'd made the effort to get up at the crack of dawn to spend some time to admire the early morning sun and mountain views, and to stroll around the gardens birdwatching for an hour or so with Hari, one of the Lodge's three very knowledgeable resident nature guides. The staff here are attentive in the nicest, friendlies but unobtrusive way. I felt very spoilt, totally relaxed and was very sorry when I had to leave."Tugu Bali: "Boutique hotel with fine food"
"We dined at the Hotel Tugu twice within one week while we were staying at a nearby villa with friends. The first meal was lunch on Valentines Day which also coincided with our friend's anniversary. The hotel is stunning, with many historic artifacts scattered throughout the public areas of the hotel. Cocktails in the bar before lunch were delicious, I particularly enjoyed the Tugu Gin Tea! We were seated in a private dining room for four (just off the main seating area) overlooking the pool and gardens. We all enjoyed a delicious lunch of Indonesian and other Asian dishes which were fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. Desserts were also spectacular, in particular Black sticky rice pudding with Mango. A complimentary dessert was presented to our friends to celebrate their anniversary, a lovely touch. We were all so impressed we rebooked for dinner later in the week! Before dinner we had cocktails again but this time on the rooftop of of the hotel while overlooking the beach and a spectacular sunset and then again dined in the small private dining room. We preordered Babi Guling, the Indonesian roast pork specialty which was plated beautifully and was absolutely mouth watering. We indulged in an Italian Pino Griggo which was good value for money and a terrific wine. Special mention must be made of the incredible staff at Hotel Tugu, friendly, knowledgeable - just delightful really! We also requested to inspect the rooms at the hotel and were shown two different types of rooms, both very Balinese and very well appointed. We would love to return to the Hotel Tugu to experience staying at this boutique hotel and also to feast upon the fine food available there. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"The Island Lodge: "Excellent River-front Boutique Resort!"
Stayed for one night, very nice hand-made decoration everywhere. Long swimming pool. The room is spacious and convenient. Very quite. Exclusive feeling. The Owner and the staff are wonderful. Ms. Ngoc was willing to help for even any smallest details. Highly recommended!.Mudanwan Villa: "“ㄧ座讓人遺世獨居的好villa,不用趕搭飛機出國也能輕鬆度假的好地方,整日悠閒徜烊在陽光下、清風中⋯真是舒暢”"

Mrauk Oo, in Rakhine State, with its interesting pagodas and stupas is slowly becoming a tourist destination. Nevertheless, the tourists you see there are still few and therefore we didn't expect any particularly nice hotel. We where very surprised when arriving at Princess Hotel we discovered a large extension of gardens and small lakes with bungalows hiding under the high trees and a central building with a nice restaurant. We spent 3 nights there with few other tourists and were very happy to be there, it added a lovely experience to the extremely interesting visits of the archeological sites.MesaStila Resort and Spa: "TRULY STUNNING IN EVERY WAY"
"We are a family of four from Australia, includng two young daughters. We stayed here for three nights. Firstly, all the staff are welcoming, friendly and wonderful. We had dinner here for the three nights and each meal was absolutely delicious. Great cocktails too! The breakfast is also amazing. My two daughters and I did yoga in the morning and thoroughly enjoyed it. There is so much to do and enjoy, so many activities. Great for children. Nothing is too much trouble with the staff. The surroundings are beautiful as is the atmosphere. We enjoyed afternoon tea on the verandah each day. We had a family day at the spa, with my daughters getting a hair cut and style, whilst I enjoyed a manicure. Words cannot describe this beautiful place, seeing is believing. "The Island Lodge: "A piece of the French Riviera in the Mekong Delta"
Michel and Francoise have created a beautiful boutique resort on the banks of the Mekong river surrounded by an island filled with fruit trees, smallholdings and trails. Food is excellent, rooms are excellent, service is excellent, the ambience is romantic and decadent. Wonderful freshly made French pastries are available for breakfast if you wish. This is a very classy place indeed with lovely gardens and a swimming pool perfect for cooling off from the steamy heat. If you're the active type (we are) then there are cycle and boat tours available from the hotel, if not then lie back and watch the ebb and flow of the river...
