Gorgeous hotel giving a truly boutique experience. The rooms are very inidvidual and huge. Likewise the beds - huge with classy bedlinen. Rooms cleaned to high standard daily. Included breakfast had plenty of interesting options. All the staff are obliging, friendly, and unobtrusive. No lack of efficiency or attention to detail in any sector. We savoured every day of our stay here. Mrauk Oo Princess Resort, a sister hotel of the more prominent Inle Princess Resort, is by far the best accommodation option in town. Each of the 23 spacious, dark wood- dominated villas represents a blend of traditional furnishings and modern amenities. Both the restaurant (overlooking the lotus dotted pond) and the spa (situated on the bank of the river) are designed with an artistic touch. The landscaping is also easy on the eyes. At the time of my visit, the swimming pool was not at the visitors’ disposal but it has recently changed; from October 2015 hotel guests can cool down from the tropical heat with a splash in a 45 feet long swimming pool. Wow! What a nice surprise. This was my first river cruise in Bangkok, and I never really expected a Thai gourmet dinner. The food was very good and beautifully presented. There was: Taittinger champagne and an Amuse Bouche of fried Thai mackerel wrapped with Chaplu leaves, an Appetizer of 3 minced pork stir-fried with garlic and peanuts, pomelo salad with grilled prawn and spicy minced chicken salad, a Soup- Thai spicy soup with jumbo prawn, then 5 main dishes- pork, crab, fish and "Son-in-law" eggs, Dessert- mango sticky rice (the mango had been shaped into a flower) and to finish Petit Fours and Tea. This is such a quirky hotel. I was slightly alarmed on guest impressions because this is definitely not a sophisticated, one dimensional hotel. This is a one off. Beautiful situation right on the beach, big rooms with outside bathrooms and plunge pools, huge grounds, two pools - the new one bring a large infinity pool with fresh water and I always had it to myself). Plenty of sunbeds so you never had to rush anywhere and the staff were all completely charming. We were made to feel very welcome and everyone knew our names. The manager was very visible and personable and, like all the staff, seemed to genuinely enjoy his job. A very special place. Recommend the BBQ on the beach (the staff went to great lengths to make it special and the food was fab). Our stay at Villa Song was a wonderful experience. Our room was beautiful with an excellent view of the river. The food was very good along with their service. The hotel provides a convenient boat ride to the city which only takes about 10 minutes.Sea Dance Resort: "5* In every aspect"
"My wife and I stayed at Sea Dance for 5 nights as part of our honeymoon and we really couldn’t fault it. The service was fantastic from Kent picking us up from the airport and showing us around the site, to Faith, Helen and John who were always there to help and were on first name terms within a few hours. Poy the resort manager was also extremely helpful and extremely welcoming. We stayed in one of the beach front pool villas which was fantastic, clean and comfy. We were lucky enough to arrive on a Saturday where the hotel host a bbq, the food was unreal as well as the Wednesday happy hour (free drinks). As some of the reviews do mention the resort is isolated but there are taxis just outside and you can walk to the first strip (around 10-15 mins). Villa Song SaiGon set up nearby the waterfront was a great and beautiful spot on SaiGon river. This villa has a very nice pool which is long and large enough to go swim and relaxing. My daughter and my wife loved it. We had great time being with the whole family on vacation. My daughter is 8 years old said she loved the pool very much where she was able to learn how to swim. We had a raining swimming day in the pool that we had never had before. What a Nice and great memory we had ! The restaurant facing right on the river which gave a very cooling breezing. Dinner was great. The F&B manager was very nice guy. Breakfast is OK with a la cart food choice. Receptionist were very welcoming ! Bellmen were good who took care our family well. This villa has scheduled shuttle boat on Saigon River where you can view the city at the sunset and nightlight city when in dark.Talabgaon Castle: "Unreal Experience"
"My wife and I recently visited this resort on our trip from San Francisco and could not have been happier with our stay. It is a beautiful property and the staff could not have been more hospitable. The grounds were beautifully maintained, the rooms were gorgeous and comfortable, and the food was fantastic. We stopped here for a night in between Agra and Jaipur. It is in the countryside so it is a very tranquil and peaceful setting when compared to the city. We were treated like royalty at this 200+ year old castle that was recently restored to this beautiful resort. The resort sits on 100 acres with expansive lawns, a pool, gardens, and a polo field. It is a perfect place to spend a night or two to unwind and get way from the hustle and bustle of India. 5+ stars across the board. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"
