Chakrabongse Villas: "A small green exotic oasis of calm, beauty and exclusivity"
"Chakrabongse Villas is very different to your everyday boutique hotel. I have been a guest at Chakrabongse for 12 years on at least 40 occasions. Here your privacy is respected and preserved and you do not have to deal with the typical petty tourists that you find in all the large hotels. You will hardly ever see another guest since they all have their own villa and outside area. Strangers are not permitted to enter the grounds and wander around. The staff are invisible until you need or want them. The outside world of hustle and bustle stops at the gate and you enter a small green exotic oasis of calm, beauty and exclusivity. Room Tip: Every villa is beautifully themed and decorated with art and antiques."The Twelve Hotel: "Pleasant"
Quiet oasis in Bangkok. The hotel is quiet, clean and the owners are friendly. Bedding is excellent and tasteful decoration. This is a small hotel on a human scale. A little far from the subway or foot to BTS but tuk tuk will cost you 50 Bath. In short I would go back because I have spent a great timeReverie Siam Pai: "Colonial Style"
"The colonial styled hotel is set on the outskirts of Pai, but with a complementary buggy service into town. The grounds are well kept with lots of pathways around the resort. The river that runs through Pai passes the boundary of the hotel with rural views from the river. Very nice rooms situated around the gardens. There are two swimming pools and a smaller paddling pool for children. The breakfast is served and very leisurely. Rooms are large, very clean and tidy with all toilet requirements supplied. No mosquitos ! "Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "Consistent fine quality"
Over the last few years we have dined several times at Le Du. This time we took some friends there and again the fusion food was tasty with Thai flavors, imaginative and beautifully presented by friendly staff. We accompanied the dishes by a decently prized crispy New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. For me this restaurant is star quality even though the recently published Michelin guide of Bangkok restaurants did not give them this rating.Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "Light modern fusion"
We dined at Le Du in Feb 2017, a modern Thai gastro restaurant with a twist. We selected the four course menu with inventive, tasteful dishes where western textures are fusioned with Thai flavors. Examples are the river prawns with egg and chu-chee curry or the mango panna cotta with passion fruit and smoked coconut icecream. A decently prized wine list completes the gastro experience. The place is popular, thus crowded with poor acoustics i.e. too noisy for a normal conversation. I was told management is working on a solution.Reverie Siam: "Amazing surroundings and room deco"
Stayed for a night in Reverie Siam with a girl friend and the experience was amazing. Thoughtful service. Although it's located a distance away from the walking street, the hotel had a tuktuk service to bring you to and fro the hotel and the main walking street. We did not have Thai number and the hotel loaned us a phone to call them for a pick up back to the hotel. The room deco was beautifully vintage and very instagram worthy. Lovely outdoor garden if you stay on the ground floor and lovely pools and you can also sit on the deck chairs by the river which runs by the resort. The hotel restaurant, Silhouette, serves some amazing dishes for dinner and breakfast which came with the hotel stay was definitely exceptional. Will definitely stay here again when I'm in Pai!Mathis Retreat: "Very relaxing stay – very good value for money"
"We stayed 4 nights in April with a 2 years old, it was our second stay and we enjoyed it again very much. Scenery and landscape of the hotel are just fantastic, the personalized service very enjoyable. Karine the Manager had great tour suggestions and recommended a very nice and competent guy. A special mention for the restaurant of the hotel (Terra cotta), where all the food there was very good every time (try the desserts!) and the service top level. Definitely a very good value for money. Stayed April 2017, traveled with family"Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Lovely stay"
Stayed for one night for my birthday, such a beautiful and iconic place to be. It is full of history and has more character than any other place I have stayed at. Breakfast and staff were lovely, would definitely stay again. A unique experienceSanak Retreat Bali: "Unique, peaceful and beautiful"
"Sanak is an oasis of peace, off the beaten track, between rice fields, with cooler temperatures than the rest of Bali but actually perfect and hot just a bit less humid and not boiling hot. The view over rice fields is amazing, we stayed in a bungalow - very comfortable and stylish. Good food, organic, catering for people with any special diet. No plastic or coca-cola, I loved it, lots of fresh herbal teas, great for people who are environmentally conscious, like nature and want to stay away from the crowds. Amazing massage, the best we had in Bali, especially the milder version of the Balinese massage was great. I recommend also a walk to the waterfalls, although the local guide was fussing over me as if I was to fall down from each bigger stone :) It was worth a little walk and there were no one else there. It was still raining at the time we were there (end of raining season) but mornings were sunny and good for activities. It looks beautiful in any weather here. Sanak supports preserving the local area and gives work to people in the village, I just love what they stand for. This is the best combination I have seen of eco-tourism and luxury. We will come back."The Hue House: "Dinner"
Probably the best meal so far in Saigon this beautiful Vietnamaurrant sits on top of mastr building .Quite difficult to find but well worth the effort.Xcellnt food and staff very friendly price rang very reasonable
