The food at Manda de Laos was super great and amazing, nice ambiance with friendly service by lovely staffs at the restaurant. I think the price is suitable on what you get. If I have chance to visit Luang Prabang, I definitely go back to this place. Lastly, I love banana ice cream :)Mie Cafe: "Best meal in Siam Reap"
Siv Pala is a Cambodian chef to watch out for. He trained in Switzerland and has added European technique to Khmer cooking that is fresh and innovative. We tried the highly rated, over rated, very formal Damnak lounge but it pales in comparison. We had both lunch and dinner here the same day because it was so good. We had the gourmet set menu. 5 courses for $24 US but brilliant dishes starting with a shrimp cold starter and the fresh fish soup, then two amazing entrees-a langoustine crepe and an oxtail stew. Both were subtle with rich texture and full of umami. The setting, too, is lovely. Outdoor patio, romantic, opposite of stuffy. Staff were always attentive and the chef, good-ooking per my wife, youngish man of impeccable manners greeted us after dinner. Best meal of our three day stay. This is the perfect place to unwind for a few days. It's an easy 40 min drive from Kuching, and it's incredibly relaxing and peaceful. It's a simple hotel but a lot of care and love has gone into its set up and decoration, and it was full of beautiful artwork from local artists. The rooms were lovely (we stayed in the Raj room), the food was delicious and the service wonderful and attentive.Villa Song Saigon: "Great"

"This is a stunningly beautiful hotel in an amazing location. The quality of rooms, service and food were all exceptional. Staff were friendly and helpful. We did a couple of birdwatching walks - one in the afternoon and one in the early morning - with a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. "Have just spent 2 nights at the lodge. Exceptional stay. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I am a strange visitor to Asia who cannot eat the food! It was no problem for the kitchen to arrange something I could eat - beautifully served and with a smile. My room was very well presented with mountain views but the breakfast on the terrace, with magnificent views of sunrise over the snow capped mountain range, could not be bettered. "This is Thailand's best kept secret. Charming and secluded and really really well run by Massi, the hotel manager. We were in heaven and are dreaming about our next visit. No tvs, no air conditioning, running water that smells a little due to minerals, but none of it matters when you are at the golden Buddha because you are drawn into a Robison Crusoe fantasy that you seldom find anywhere these days. Lots of nature and very little to do except enjoy the surroundings. Stayed April 2017, traveled with family"
