Manda De Laos: "Great food fabulous setting"
The Manda de Laos is set among several lotus ponds. Our hotel had made a reservation for us and we had a table positioned to enjoy the sunset. That was our only disappointment of the night as the clouds rolled in at the wrong time. Everything else was perfect. My buffalo was tender as and my wife's duck fabulous. This is not a cheap eat but worth every cent.Glenburn Tea Estate: "One of the most amazing places we have ever stayed"
"We stayed at Glenburn for a long weekend. It was an unbelievable experience. Set in a truly unique location the estate is immaculately kept. Very nice rooms with magnificent views. The dining room is one very large table where all quests eat together. The food is excellent. The estate arranged various trips for us. They are very accommodating. We took a long walk down hill, several hours through absolutely gorgeous tea plantations. At the bottom Glenburn estate has a little cottage where lunch (with cold beers!) was served. We could have walked back up, but chose to drive back up. Very convenient. its the perfect place to unwind and relax and get a feel for this unique part of India."Tugu Lombok: "Quirky and very special."
This is such a quirky hotel. I was slightly alarmed on guest impressions because this is definitely not a sophisticated, one dimensional hotel. This is a one off. Beautiful situation right on the beach, big rooms with outside bathrooms and plunge pools, huge grounds, two pools - the new one bring a large infinity pool with fresh water and I always had it to myself). Plenty of sunbeds so you never had to rush anywhere and the staff were all completely charming. We were made to feel very welcome and everyone knew our names. The manager was very visible and personable and, like all the staff, seemed to genuinely enjoy his job. A very special place. Recommend the BBQ on the beach (the staff went to great lengths to make it special and the food was fab). Also recommend Gillian Island snorkelling trip where we saw lots of turtles which was a highlightInle Heritage Stilt Houses: "We found perfection"
"If you want a perfect place this is it. Very nice bungalows (only 6) perfect service and outstanding cooking. Basically it is strctured as a foundation (non profit). The bungalows and restaurant finance the integrated tourism school dedicated for students of a poor financial background. Since 2009 48 students yearly can learn all the basics in tourism. A splendid idea. It is worth to pay the price just for all theses reasons. Additionnally they do whatever they can to respect the environment. And all the food comes from their organic garden. This must be one of the finest residences I have ever stayed in. Imagine you are in the centre of Bangkok right by Wat Pho (totally frenetic) but inside the hotels grounds is a sea of calm and tranquility and right in front you have your own deck right on the banks of the Chao Praya river. Fantastic. We also chose to eat at their restaurant one night, for non residents there's a 3 month waiting list. The food and service were superb. The hotel also has its own long tail boat on which we had a 2 hour sunset trip, bumpy but amazing!Slow Villas and Spa: "Déconnexion"

Another wonderful stay at Mesa Stila this Easter. We cannot rate this place highly enough. The staff go out of their way to take care of you, the setting is stunning, delicious food, beautiful villas, an amazing spa. This time we made the effort to do some exercise in the stretch and aquafit classes and were very grateful to Agus and Anam for pulling us into shape! Our thanks to the chefs for giving us the recipes to our favourite dishes, for Rosy and Slamet our lovely drivers, for Erni and her wonderful team in the spa and to Lily for answering all questions Indonesian. "I can just agree with other reviewers,this place is lovely ....a quiet haven after hours in the city of HCMC with noise,traffic,and stress. Just relax in the shade by the pool with a nice book,or have a drink by the riverside watching the boats passing. Very confy bed and pillows.Lovely breakfast and lunch. The staff very helpful sorting out some issues with my airline for the returnflight. I have already reserved my next stay at Villa Song. See you in november.Thank you. "The first impression here is great with a modern restaurant in a ramshackle street. The menu is a great fusion of traditional Khmer and modern cuisine. The flavour of the food was as good as anywhere in Siem Reap and very reasonably priced. Our pork ribs fell off the bone and our chicken curry was delicate and delicious. Tucked away a little the restaurant is in a side street in the bottom floor of an apartment building. Friendly staffed showed us in and made sure we got the menu's with 3 choices, A la carte, a fixed price 4 course menu choosing from the menu or the 6 course tasting menu. We choose the 6 course menu and enjoyed the journey through some amazing Thai dishes that had some modern touches or tastes. Each course allowed you to enjoy the Thai flavours but with a twist or addition. One of the best 'Thai' meals I have eaten. So an excellent range of dishes, friendly service and a nice comfortable ambiance to wrap up an amazing meal.
