"We had tried Tamarind a few yards along the road but they were fully booked so we walked on and found this place which seemed better. Took a great table on the terrace, plenty of room and overlooking the Mekong, couldn't have bee better! We enjoyed a really fabulous meal, plenty to eat and drink with the most sublime dessert. Two beer Lao, one vodka tonic, Khan Soy, Fried Mushrooms, Fish Cak, Tapioca, green veg for 363,000. Totally awesome with great service. "We are a family of four from Australia, includng two young daughters. We stayed here for three nights. Firstly, all the staff are welcoming, friendly and wonderful. We had dinner here for the three nights and each meal was absolutely delicious. Great cocktails too! The breakfast is also amazing. My two daughters and I did yoga in the morning and thoroughly enjoyed it. There is so much to do and enjoy, so many activities. Great for children. Nothing is too much trouble with the staff. The surroundings are beautiful as is the atmosphere. We enjoyed afternoon tea on the verandah each day. We had a family day at the spa, with my daughters getting a hair cut and style, whilst I enjoyed a manicure. Words cannot describe this beautiful place, seeing is believing. This must be one of the finest residences I have ever stayed in. Imagine you are in the centre of Bangkok right by Wat Pho (totally frenetic) but inside the hotels grounds is a sea of calm and tranquility and right in front you have your own deck right on the banks of the Chao Praya river. Fantastic. We also chose to eat at their restaurant one night, for non residents there's a 3 month waiting list. The food and service were superb. The hotel also has its own long tail boat on which we had a 2 hour sunset trip, bumpy but amazing!Mathis Retreat: "Un seul mot…fabuleux"
"We fell in love with this intimate hotel with magnificent views of a rice field ... The rooms are spacious and very clean and are limited in number which gives its charme.a hotel. Breakfasts are hearty and fresh. We had dinner every night at the hotel restaurant and the Terracotta entire card is excellent. We recommend the tuna tataki input a killer! The Mathis offers a free shuttle to downtown. Very friendly staff and very caring. Very quiet, beautifull and confortable place to stay. "It is no wonder Sea-dance has won so many awards! This small boutique hotel is the perfect escape from the bustling crowds of nearby towns like Bophut, Fisherman's Village, Chaweng and Bangrak. However, a quick taxi ride can be organized by the hotel or by using the company just outside the gates. We stayed in a seafront villa with our own splash-pool. The room was spacious and beautiful. The sea, main pool, bar, restaurant was close by. It is an environmentally friendly hotel with their own veg garden. It is spotlessly clean and impeccably maintained. Staff take pride in their work which is testament to the owner Poh's Booncham's excellent management. What a joy it was to arrive at this serene, beautiful place. The staff looked after us to ensure our stay was as wonderful as it could be, nothing was too much trouble. The views are spectacular, it is just perfect in every way and i do so hope to return one day.
