Discover Muang La | Visit Laos | Luxury & Boutique Hotel: "A great resort in Northern Laos"
We had no idea what to expect but the resort proved to be beautiful. It is at the confluence of two rivers and has its own hot water spring. The staff are delightful, the gardens lovely and the rooms outstanding. But in fact the best feature of all is the food. The breakfast is fine but it is the set five course dinner which stars - a fascinating fusion of Lao and Western tastes. Lovely herbs and spices but not too much chilli! It is difficult to get to but well worth the effort. Highly recommended for those who want to get away from it all in great comfort amid stunning scenery.Satri House: "Paradise in Luang Prabang. It makes the greatest choice of this trip."
"This isn't going to be an easy review as there were many great points and didn't want to be missed. Hospitality was superb. GM Giovanni, Julie, and the team from Satri House were professional, helpful, attentive, always eager to make our stay better as possible. Room and ambience were exceptional. Room was spacious, clean, in colonial. The bed and pillow were very comfortable and clean and I had slept very well. The turn down service and snack was a great touch. Restaurant served one of the best food we had in Luang Prabang, we dined here every day throughout our stay for lunch and dinner due to the quality we can be assured of. None of the dishes we ordered has disappoint us. GT pasta, mekong fried whole fish, red curry with duck, lemongrass stuff pork were our favorite. Price was very reasonable too. Breakfast was great with fresh bakery and jam handmade by themselves. I missed the pineapple and tomato jam so much, they were really delicious. The service crew were very attentive and always eager to help. To an extend, they were flexible to cook fried noodle which was out of standard breakfast compliment menu for my husband as he requested. To sum up, every thing seem to be very well thought for guest in all aspects. From giving choice of welcome drink and to have it in library or inside room, putting straw hat (1 for male and 1 for female) in guest room and benches besides swimming pool, mini movie room with complimentary pop corns, library room, using natural lemongrass essential oil to repel mosquitos, decorations with antiques, it was truly an amazing experience not to be missed. Thank you once again to the whole Satri House team for making our wedding anniversary stay a truly memorable one."Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Paradise"
Wonderful location and impeccable service. The clubhouse offers good, locally Thai food and the breakfasts are great. The houses are clean, well furnished, and some have great views of the andaman sea Also great if you´re travelling alone. The best part was experienciing moonlight over the beautiful island bay. Simple luxury. Time to relax.Supanniga Eating Room: "Absolutely amazing crab"
Had a few dishes but the one that stuck with me was the crab curry. I've never had crab meat like that before - was more like flakes of white fish than the usual texture. Flavours were well balanced all round, and reasonably priced.Babe: "Awesome, loved it!"
The moment we walked in, we were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful direct view of the KL skyline. We went on a Tuesday and we had the entire restaurant to ourselves (hint to romantic couples!). We had to pay a non-refundable deposit for our reservation, probably because the restaurant needed to prepare the ingredients which were really top-notched. We took the 11 course tasting menu, and everything was quality, unique, pretty and delicious!! There were cool surprises in between too. It was an awesome experience!Mathis Retreat: "Un petit coin de paradis"
This small hotel of 21-22 rooms represents everything we were looking for: quiet, successful aesthetic of the hotel and rooms, friendly staff and very caring and above all a magnificent swimming pool and views of the rice fields of your dreams! The hotel is about 2-3 km from the inner city of Ubud. As we drove our rental car, it was not a problem for us but once we went walking through rice fields and villages. Enchanting! Karine, the hotel manager is Belgian and Liege, like me 😉 She came every day during breakfast to greet and see if she could help / advise. Very nice, affable and smiling, just the right person! We highly recommend this hotel.Muang La Lodge: "Hidden gem in Laos"
"This wonderful place is an absolute gem. The staff were all super-helpful, and the facilities are super-comfortable and very well set up to fit whatever level of energy that you have, including the thermal tubs and the lovely pool. As a temporary resident of Laos, I can vouch for the authentic nature of the setting. We went on the 5 hour trek with a very scenic route accompanied by an informative guide, which allows you to see the authentic side of the changing landscape in the northern highlands and some of the pressures for change that the local people face. All in all, one of the best places of its kind that we have ever stayed in. Stayed March 2017, traveled with family"Mudanwan Villa: "Tranquil and GREAT hot spring facilities!"
"I have stayed in Mudanwan for 2 night with my family. We got a big room on the ground floor with our own hot spring pool and swimming pool in the back yard (privacy guaranteed), a large bathroom with another indoor hot spring pool, two king size beds, and it was just fabulous!!! We went for a full board package and the food was just gorgeous and fresh! There's a 24 hr juice/snack bar too. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and the services were just great. We really had a fantastic time there. Although the location is really in the middle of nowhere, they do offer a nice shuttle service."Villa Song Saigon: "Enjoyable Stay"
Our stay at Villa Song was a wonderful experience. Our room was beautiful with an excellent view of the river. The food was very good along with their service. The hotel provides a convenient boat ride to the city which only takes about 10 minutes.Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Our happy place"
"We have spent 6 days at Golden Buddha in December 2015 and it has been one of the best Holiday experiences so far. The location is fantastic, the staff and the management are very friendly and the whole atmosphere is very familiar and relaxed. Food, drinks and services (e.g. Thai Massage) are great and our Baan was also stunning. Hopefully we can come back one day."
