Sandat Glamping Tents: "Enchanting stay at Sandat Glamping Tents"
"We stayed only 1 night with friends in suite tents. The place is really what you can see on the website. Just fantastic, no insects, clean place, good food, nice deep private pool not too cold. Will come back when in Bali again"4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Quite simply, wow"
This experience was worth the long car journey and really made the holiday to Cambodia special. We arrived on the 1st October and from the moment we stepped onto the complimentary boat the relaxation began. The luxury of the tents astounded us, I especially wasn't expecting such a decent water pressure from the shower, to be able to lie in bed and just look out onto the river was unique. Another surprise was the variety of fresh food available, the daily changing set menu was wonderful. We did both the fire fly and waterfall excursions, should the weather have been better we would have jumped at the sunset trip too, the waterfall was brilliant fun and exhilarating. However what really made the trip for me was the people and their stories. The activities coordinator had such interesting stories to tell, I thoroughly enjoyed the trip to his island, on the way back from the waterfall, where we met the locals and shared some fresh coconut. Seeing first hand how they live and discussing their hopes for their country was extremely thought provoking. Our last evening will be one I will never forget, from further discussions with staff about their views on the development of Cambodia, to our beautiful dinner over looking the water, I was already missing the resort when the staff all came out to play their guitars and sing for us, it was simply a fantastic experience, one I have not stopped raving about since returning. If you want to experience the hidden side of Cambodia or simply want to get away from it all for a while you really must stay here. Thank you all for making my holiday an unforgettable experience I truly do miss each of you4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Very tranquil visit"
"We had a great time at 4 Rivers Koh Kong. There is no air conditioning or wifi here, but they had enough fans in the room that it really wasn't much of an issue. They did not provide lotion in their toiletries. When I asked if they had any, they let me borrow some of the staffs personal lotion for my skin. The resort is very remote and charming. One of the chairs and the umbrella were broken on our patio, but it didn't hamper our stay. We really enjoyed our tours with Robbie and Wee, many of the guides are local and still learning English, so it was fun to talk with them! Everyone was so friendly! They had a good selection of food options. The food ranged from average, to good, but nothing was exceptional. My only disappointment was that they have so many local fruits, but only offered orange juice from a box for breakfast. I think that if they had a juicer and could offer an option of local fruit juices that would be a nice touch. I'd highly recommend spending 2-3 days here and just enjoying the beautiful sunsets, and swimming in the river and just being ""off the grid"". The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"NEELESHWAR: "Heavenly peace!"
"Everything about the Hermitage was wonderful - the room, the bed, the pillows, the care taken to make sure everything was perfect, the food, the off site activities offered ( alt bought these were expensive) Forewarned, we had pre- ordered full board to avoid a large bill at the end so that worked out well. Highlight was a trip to the jungle to see a Theyam ceremony. Unforgettable! The sea was like a warm bath, the food and company and the pool were all excellent. One recommendation though - mosquito burners in the spa reception area. Can't wait to return - think about it every day! "Rak Ko Jae Seoul: "Rakkojae first 3 nights, Ritz Carlton last 2 nights. Cried the last 2 nights"
"Out of selfishness, I wish I could keep the Rakkojae a secret and post the stay as poorly managed, noisy, and uncomfortable. Or maybe that the Rakkojae reminded me of a fake Hollywood set for a Korean drama. Or better yet, that Rakkojae is located in a completely inconvenient location with zero access to historic areas and their iconic shop-filled alleys. Selfishness loses this one. The host was too nice to ever wish anything bad for them. Take everything stated and translate each into their polar opposite. That's Rakkojae. The stay carries a physical and emotional warmth that can't be described without using the word ""home."" A super nice, quiet home with heated jade floors, and served breakfasts causing one to reflect upon why one needs energy and brain robbing sweet carbos to start the day. How about fresh rice, cured fish, panchon with amazing kimchi, rice porridge tea and a different secret dessert every day. The Location If you arrive in the evening, your cab driver will wonder if your address is correct. Once you take a final turn down a narrow alley, you'll also begin wondering if you missed a digit on your address. But it's oh, sooo right. Once you start walking to any of the sights, you'll realize how perfect the location is for walking everywhere. Moreover, it's close enough to the subway for jaunts into the city. In the main city or otherwise, the street food alleys will help you regain your faith in the idea of street food. Unique, scrumptious, and absolutely no digestive drama -- other than various self-induce triggers from over-indulging. Kids OK? I have a feeling that if you have more than one child (we had our lone 8 yr old), and/or if your kids are typically loud and excitable, you might feel self-conscious because Rakkojae and the area is very quiet. The people are too nice to reject you for this, but you will be aware of how loud you actually can be. Ahhh. Peace and quiet. It's the price we parents often pay for having our bundles of joy. In fact, in the historic residential area you'll see more ""keep quiet"" signs than you'll ever see in a dozen libraries. It's not that kids can't run amok with joy, laughter while screaming their bloody lungs with excitement, but perhaps limited ""happy drama"" on the Rakkojae premises will allow one to blend-in a bit. Frankly, our child had no interest in running and screaming amok on site. It's so beautiful and peaceful that even a kid can feel odd belting the lyrics to Moana at 11p under such peaceful conditions. She saved it later for the streets. Sorry Seoul. Our last days at the Ritz Carlton in Seoul were fine. But all of us would have traded it all to move back to Rakkojae in a heartbeat. Go. I'm Hawaiian, so I don't promise anything, but the Rakkojae is a stay that will become part of your memory of the trip vs. merely being a cool place because they have bounce rooms for kids, mini bars and lots of people you could have met at some function back home. MOAAana!"Les Maisons Wat Kor: "Feel like home place"
"We staid for 2 nights at Maisons Wat Kor with our family and friends and everyone loved their stay. Rooms are good size, very tastefully decorated and clean, the garden is really big and relaxing to walk around. There is a connecting room for families with the kids! The kids loved the pool and little bungalow overlooking lotus pond where they could relax and play. The staff were always helpful and organized trips to town if we wished to do so. Though it was nice just to hang around the place. We also had Spa treatments on request. The restaurant is also a lovely place to eat in the evening. We enjoyed local cuisine and had nice evenings together. The breakfast are included and are also very good. Highly recommended for family trips, romantic stay or just relaxing weekend with friends "Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Incredible Experience, not to be missed"
I loved my time visiting the Inle Heritage House during my stay in Inle Lake. Passionate and talented people doing fantastic work. I enjoyed the cat sanctuary, the architecture and design of the space, the garden and sustainability efforts, and the opportunities for cooking classes... all of this while supporting the local community and hospitality education program. I would recommend a visit to anyone who will be traveling to Myanmar. Please support and enjoy this fantastic organization.David’s Kitchen: "Great food prepared with love"
We ate at David's kitchen twice in a week. Discovering David's Kitchen was a wonderful treat! Lovely food and great service! Thank you David to you and your staff for a great culinary experience .NOEL RODRIGO’S LEOPARD SAFARIS: "Superb"
"Last week, we spent two nights at this professional, 5*, friendly camp, where the tents are spacious, spotlessly clean and have a big comfortable beds. We were particularly impressed with the solar powered fans and the bucket shower, which staff happily warm up for you! Our guides were Saj and Danu, who made our stay so much fun. They are both highly informed, are very passionate and have great empathy with the animals and their knowledge is endless - they can identify every animal, bird or insect you point out to them. On our safaris we saw a sloth bear, elephants, crocodiles, fawn, barking and spotted deer, wild boar, water buffaloes, monitors, monkeys, eagles, and dozens of other beautiful birds. The most magical moment of our 3 week holiday was here. We arrived back from a late afternoon safari to be met with hot towels, and then walked along a lantern lit walkway to a comfortable lounge area and then to our dining table under the stars, where we ate the superb 5*** Sinhalese food, including local vegetables that we ate nowhere else in Sri Lanka - food to die for. Thank you so much Saj, Danu and all your team for making our stay with you so special. "Tandjung Sari: "A grand old lady!"
Whether you love Tandjung Sari as much as I did, or not, will depend on your perception of what constitutes a 'good' hotel. If you are looking for the height of modern luxury and state-of-the-art technology, this hotel is probably not for you! It is, however, the perfect choice for anybody wanting accommodation which oozes old-world style and class and which is full of charm and grace (...) I could not speak more highly of the staff, all of whom were gracious and graceful in their approach to guests -- they made me feel like an honoured guest rather than a mere paying customer. This was a brilliant experience -- just writing about it fills me with a warm glow -- and I very much hope that I will be able again to sample the delights of this grand old lady, Tandjung Sari. If you are thinking about it, do it!!
