Cuca: "World Class Dining with Exquisite Local Ingredients and Flavor!"
"We arrived at the restaurant and welcomed by the vast green front yard. It was a beautiful open yard with tall coconut trees and definitely best spot to host an intimate dinner party. We made booking by phone just couple hours before and happy to find table since we heard it's usually full booked. The menu is served ala tapas, and most of them are very enticing just by reading the name and the ingredients. We decided to go with the Chef's Tasting Menu - which is a 9 dish course handpicked by Chef Kevin Cherkas as the best representative of Cuca's flavor. This was the best decision as first timer here! In the beginning of the course, we were given a cotton candy like with savory taste, served in a pretty ceramic pink paper bag. Here are the 9 dishes: 1. Cuban Corn 2. Roasted Pork Buns* 3. Smoked Butterfish - since I am pregnant and could not eat smoked fish, they happily replaced this with other menu, we chose Fried Chicken 4. Honey Baked Pumpkin Salad* 5. BBQ Octopus* 6. Rice Tempura Soft Shell Crab 7. Meat & Potatoes* 8. Bali Breakfast 9. Cocoa 99 The starred ones are our favorites with Meat & Potatoes the highlight of them all. The potatoes are so silky smooth with such flavorful beef short ribs underneath, definitely a winner. Overall, this was a wholesome dining experience, and to find it in Jimbaran, Bali was just exciting. We could easily compare the experience with those we had in Scandinavia, truly exquisite. The great thing about Cuca is also they use only ingredients from Indonesia! Chef Kevin Cherkas personally dropped by at each table to converse with guest and wow, we even got a great recommendation of Suckling Pig Rebo in Jimbaran that we haven't been before. (And it was really good!) Thank you Chef! Cuca is about to open in Jakarta by 2018, we'll be patiently waiting :) "Villa Song Saigon: "Great"
"Stayed here two days for business to avoid the usual ""Hilton, Hyatt ,,,"" routine and didnt regret that. The position to the river is unique altough if you are heading for the city centre you have to face either a boat trip or a longer taxi lift. Rooms are modern, sleeping quality very good. The restaurant cant decide what is the focus on (they call it fusion). Breakfast only week point I can name (e.g. if you order ""bread basket"" you would expect butter, jam etc coming along with this, but here it means only bread so you have to ask for every item). Staff beautiful trained."THE SAMAR: "Know what you’re expecting"
"Location wise the property may not be for every travelers especially those who prefer staying very near to pub street area. However, we like the tranquility of the area and their attentive staffs. We were served by the same waitress in the restaurant throughout our 3 nights stay, she was definitely a gem! The property was half-occupied during our stay so it was very quiet and most of the time it seems like we were having the resort to our own. Bumped into other guests occasionally and they were quite friendly too. We love their ala carte breakfast menu too, their homemade pineapple jam with a hint of ginger taste is my favorite!"Tugu Malang: "Truely Colonial"
"Tugu Hotel is an icon in Malang, East Java province, and most likely it's the best hotel in town. It has all the facilities of a 5-star hotel, bar, restaurant, swimming pool to identify some. The environment is very lush and greenish, a plus point. It's also centrally located in the heart of the city, yet another plus point. The room is neatly arranged, cozy, and clean, equipped with a tea table, fantastic.. Afternoon tea is served between 4 - 6 pm, free of charge. The staffers are warm and forthcoming, another plus point. Over all rating is 5/5."Maison Polanka: "Beautiful property with the best staff"
"My boyfriend and I had an amazing stay here during our trip to Siem Reap! Everything surpassed our expectations. When we arrived, we were greeted at the airport by Francis and a car that drove us straight to the hotel to make sure it was a seamless trip. The purple room was perfect for us - very spacious with high ceilings. Francis, Cathy, and the entire staff at Maison Polanka ensured every detail of our stay was perfect - from packing us breakfast for when we left early to watch the sunrise, to giving us recommendations on where to eat in town and which other temples to visit. They patiently answered all our questions and made us feel completely at home. The grounds of Maison Polanka was like its own world, a quiet haven away from the hustle and bustle of downtown while located just 5min away. Another outstanding feature of the hotel was the kitchen - we loved all our meals there and the dishes were our favorite by far in Siem Reap. We ate basically all our meals and loved everything we had, especially the local Khmer fried rice and beef lok lak. It was so convenient to be able to come home after a long day touring the temples to enjoy a delicious meal in the outdoors dining area, prepared meticulously by such a great chef. We'll definitely be staying here again on our future visits - we can't wait to come back!"Villa Song Saigon: "Brilliant"
Stayed for two nights at the beginning of a two-week trip through Vietnam, and it couldn't have been a better start. The hotel and its location are spectacular. Nice airy room with a small balcony overlooking the river. Amazing staff, fantastic breakfasts and lovely dinners right by the riverside. The shuttle boat drops you off right downtown and picks you up again. Absolutely perfect!Villa Mathis: "second séjour, toujours le paradis"
Pretty well decorated room, a beautiful card to the restaurant, attentive staff, good places to stroll or go on trips, a little away has Seminiak which is rather more since the place is very Zen with shuttle to downtown. Also thank you to the new manager and his wife for their hospitality and kindness. we will returnAmata Lanna: "A treat"
Small resort with few and luxurious rooms that all face the pool-manicured garden area. remarkably beautiful structure and attention to detail. Folks and always ready to give you the best advice on what to visit the beautiful Chiang Mai, attention should be friendly to Pong, owner of the hotel who greeted us in the best way in its structure. Council also highly recommend a massage at "The Home", a massage center agreement with the hotel which is a few kilometers away, went every day for three consecutive days. Ours was a perfect stay, very good.MesaStila Resort and Spa: "Coffee Plantation on-site knowledge"
I benefited my trip to Magelang to visit coffee plantation here (previously known as Losari plantation). The guided tour by the resort staff was very informative. It cost some Rp 200k. Arabica, robusta, and excelsa types of coffee are grown on this site. It was unfortunately not the harvest season. I could only imagine the process between the harvest and roasting. I savoured Javanese robusta in kopi toebroek method, as well as whole-bean roasted coffee that I chewed with palm sugar lump. It tasted like coffee candy.Neeleshwar Hermitage: "lazy days"
a superb resort on the Arabian sea with a private and pristine beach. Fantastic infinity pool and food to match. Staff friendly, accommodation spacious and clean, an ideal spot to wind down whilst travelling in Kerala. The Lotus houseboat "the best". Dining on the beach a highlight. Well done staff for making our stay perfect.
