Tugu Malang: "Super!"

Review by: BE001903 | Source: Trip Advisor
"At Tugu Malang they really understand how to treat hotel guest. Such hospitality is rare but absolutely great. Each member of the staff goes the extra mile to please the guests. The hotel also doubles as a museum. It is really a fabulous place. Rooms are well equiped (not your standard decoration though). We also tried the restaurant: same story ... Staff is super helpful and friendly food ... A huge choice of dishes from malang street food, chinese, dutch and italian cuisine ... Pages and pages of dishes. The kitchen must be super organized because food arrives pretty quickly and was so really good. If you go to Malang.... This is the hotel to book"

Rahai'i Pangun Wildlife River Cruises: "Extraordinary 3d2n with wow Borneo"

Review by: A TripAdvisor Member | Source: Trip Advisor
We chose Wow Borneo because they had the safest looking boats for our small children whilst having competetive prices. We had the boat to ourselves and a lovely crew. The food included some of the best local dishes we've had in Indonesia in 2+ years. Our guide, Faisal, knew his stuff and was great with the kids. We woke on both mornings to see large male orang utans hanging in trees yards from our boat. We saw probiscus monkeys, endangered Storm's storks, gibbons, macaques and crocs too. A fantastic trip. Do it.

Bali Jiwa Villa: "Heaven on earth"

Review by: SabineInnsbruck | Source: tripadvisor.com
We have been in Bali Jiwa Villa for 12 days and it was gorgeous. We enjoyed every minute, hearing the concert of frogs (one even lived just up the door to the villa and went for a walk every evening - we loved watching it), the wind in the ricefield and the singing from a distant temple, seeing the morning sun and the stars, smelling the frangipani-flowers...  The staff is extremly helpful, friendly and competent, and it was a pleasure being cared for by them. The villas are tastefully furnished, and the outdoor-bathrooms really beautiful. Breakfast and dinner were very good and served in your private villa, which was pure luxury. Going to Ubud took a 30 minutes drive, with very friendly drivers, so it was no problem at all. Bali Jiwa Villa is an extra-class-hideaway, and we definitly will come again.

Locavore: "Outstanding"

Review by: DexterD2013 | Source: Trip Advisor
"We chose to have the 5 course degustation menu with accompanying cocktails for each course. While we may have had some reservation about having cocktails instead of matching wine, they were a revelation! While we were waiting for our meal to begin we were stunned to be served with SEVEN 'amuse bouche' dishes prior to this. All were outstanding and each was described to us in detail by a member of the staff - sometimes a waitress but often one of the cooks - including the head chef. In a similar vein - the 1 dessert course actually ended up being a 'pre-dessert', main dessert, and then about 3 'post desserts'. All the dishes were of a very high standard with interesting combinations and flavours. The open kitchen allows you to observe the staff preparing the food - all in a seemingly tranquil manner. Service was outstanding and we waddled out after almost 3 hours, overwhelmed by the experience. Even though it is reasonably pricey compared to other restaurants in Bali (~US$150pp including drinks), it is well worth it."

David’s Kitchen: "Sublime"

Review by: Bauldric | Source: Trip Advisor
I assumed any restaurant in Thailand called David's would be french considering. I was a bit surprised when I met David as he met us at the door. I won't let my expectations ruin yours. He was so delightful on so many levels. But that was was just the meet and greet. The waiting staff were absolutely fantastic. Their english was wonderfu and the service was very very pleasantl. But the food. The food was fantastic.I would have to rate this as one of the best meals of my life. From the moment it starts to the end, everything is just little bits of perfection. I would dearly dearly love to live just down the road.

Tugu Lombok: "Unique…authentic hotel"

Review by: DanaraImangali | Source: Trip Advisor
Good service, good food and beautiful beach. Very unique atmosphere. Would definitely recommend to stay in the North side of Lombok as this part is the most developed one. Would only recommend to stay in hotels such as Oberoi, Lombok lodge, Tugu or Qunci.

Tugu Bali: "Gorgeous, authentic property"

Review by: Natasha G | Source: Trip Advisor
My boyfriend and I stayed at Tugu for two nights and loved the place. Excellent design and decor - very much authentic, stylish Balinese - with delicious Indonesian food, gorgeous cocktails and first class service. Some great views for the upstairs rooms, but go for the private pool villas downstairs or a room nearer the back of the hotel if you want total peace and quiet. All of the staff were absolutely lovely - so helpful and warm - and we loved the cooking course! Great pool too and lovely spa.

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "a superb hotel – with great attention to detail and outstanding service"

Review by: paulConran | Source: Trip Advisor
"We have been to India many times and have been fortunate to stay in many wonderful hotels. But by any comparison, the Neeleshwar Hermitage stands out as among the best for its perfect combination of outstanding service, food, location and attention to detail. Rarely do even the best hotels in the world get all of these right, every day. Our main interest is in seeing and experiencing everyday life in India. For us, one of the attractions of Neeleshwar Hermitage is that there is a lot to see locally and it’s easy, with the help of the hotel, to get about. We found the manager immediately understood what we wanted to do, and was very helpful with the ideas and arrangements to enable us to make the most of our 6 day stay. You don’t have to go anywhere of course, and when it is hot and the skies blue (as it was when we were there) it is tempting to head to the pool and stay there. It is a beautiful pool. It’s also very well situated, overlooking a long, wide sandy beach that is also used a lot by the local villagers. The design and materials throughout contribute a lot to the feeling of a very relaxing, comfortable place to stay. And it is extremely well thought through, to maintain that special ambience. The tables in the main restaurant, for example, are fixed in position, each with their own ceiling fan directly overhead, and there is a lot of space between them. This means you feel like you have a lot of space and privacy, and makes it feel very peaceful. The tables are similarly well placed a good distance apart in the excellent seafood restaurant by the beach. Juices, beers and local wine are all readily available wherever you are but there is no formal bar, either by the pool or in the main lounge area, which again helps to keep things quieter than it can be in some places. Smoking is not allowed anywhere, indoors or out. All of these elements are important, but it’s even better: we found the service, without exception, to be outstanding. Every single person got it exactly right. They also work very well together. It may be an informal beach hotel, but there is great attention to detail. This is not a hotel that is particularly easy to get to. We flew from Mumbai to Mangalore, and from there it is about a 2 1/2 hour drive. But if you like India, and don’t mind some dusty, bumpy roads, there is always a lot to see on the way. The Neeleshwar Hermitage seems to attract people who are looking for peaceful surroundings. Only as we were leaving did we see one very demonstrative guest, who had just arrived, waving a mobile phone by the pool. The rest was a beautiful silence, in what must be one of the best hotels in southern India."

Tugu Malang: "Luxury and services are beyond expectation"

Review by: AdFiaSasongko | Source: Trip Advisor
"I was there only for a day and wish to come back soon. The room was impecable, perfect with a touch of personal welcome in a card. Our room facing the front hotel but not noisy at all. The bedsheet was super clean and it was a standard five hotel services and facility. The amenities was not much but enough. Small pool but convenient enough for children. Good selection of breakfast with some a la carte menu. The hospitality is unbelievably super friendly. A typical warm small size five star hotel that you would never experience in a big busy hotel. This hotel was beautiful in a an outdated way, and you may find it quite spooky at the back part, but for some, it may be the point of attraction. "
