David’s Kitchen: "Simply winderful"
From the service, to the presentation, to of course the food, David’s Kitchen is a must if you are anywhere near the areaSamanea Beach Resort: "Truly relaxing"
"Our 4 night visit to Samanea was perfect in every aspect. Very tranquil surroundings. Villas are large and well equipped. Enjoyed the outdoor bathroom and the 2 resident frogs. Staff cannot do enough to help guests. They are friendly, polite and very efficient. I like that they employ locals. Food was enjoyable and full of flavour. Restaurant service excellent. Staff will set up tables for meals anywhere you wish. By the pool, the beach, the jetty or you can dine in the restaurant. This is truly a place to relax. The hotel can arrange tours or tuk tuk for getting about. We arranged transport from Phnom Penh with private car. The Resort can arrange this for you. Very good driver and well presented and reliable at competitive rate. Driver Tim speaks good english and is helpful and knowledgeable. Would recommend Samanea and hope to return one day."Flower Island: "Unforgettable"
"An unforgettable stay! Worth every Pesos! Absolutely beautiful setting, caring and kind staff, stunning rooms, peace and tranquility not find in many places left on earth! Pearl farm visit a must with super interesting and professional staff. Was encouraging to see the environmental programmes supported by the resort and the pearl business. Clean, clear ocean with the best snorkelling in Palawan. Thank you so much to all the staff for your incredible kindness and care. We will return to paradise! Room Tip: Loved Golden room"Maison Polanka: "family trip"
We absolutely loved Maison Polanka, The atmosphere there is so peaceful and pampered without being ostentatious. The staff is kind, and attentive. We rented the entire hotel for our family. They helped us with everything including two day tour of the temples, shopping, onsite massage, dinners, lovely cocktail hours at the pool. One of the best places we have ever stayed. Everyone loved it from teenagers to grandparents. A true paradise.Locavore: "A “must” dining experience"
My husband and I went to Lacovore for lunch to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary and were very glad we did, it was one of the best dining experiences we have had anywhere. The booking process is very professional with follow up emails about what to expect, dress standards and how long the booking will be held for should guests be late. I have a food allergy and this was also followed up and discussed when we arrived. We chose the 7 course degustation menu, my husband the meat option and myself the vegetarian. However there were 4 appetisers before the first listed course and a pre and post dessert appetiser providing 13 courses in total. By the end we were full but the course sizes were such that we weren't unpleasantly so. Each dish was described when it arrived and all used ingredients local to the area, Bali and Indonesia. The cocktails also utilised local ingredients. Every dish had the perfect balance of flavours and textures and was beautifully presented. The waiting staff were attentive without being intrusive, friendly and professional. While it is not a cheap dining experience it is a highly recommended one. Book early however to ensure a booking, even for lunch. Dinner is often booked out weeks in advance.Les Maisons Wat Kor: "Lovely and relax resort"
We stayed here for two nights with a great design room plus a pool view and big garden. It is a real Khmer art for sure. Lovely, friendly, and helpful staff. Location is good, abit quiet but sleep well. Good experience and will go back with friends for next visit in Cambodia.Glenburn Tea Estate: "A Truly Magical Stay"
"I will never forget my time spent at Glenburn - it was truly magical and will always have a warm place in my heart. From the lovely driver Ranjan who picked me up from the airport with a refreshing glass of homemade lemonade and a picnic to the lovely, attentive managers Holly and Jemima who welcomed me with a green Glenburn sash on arrival I knew it was going to be a great stay! The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful with incredible to detail - gorgeous unique suites, amazing flowers and views of the mountains. It felt so tranquil; as if you were on top of the world! What really made my stay special however was the staff. Chandra's home baked banana bread is truly the best I've ever tasted!! The themed evening meals were always delicious and I loved being able to sample new cuisines. I was even lucky enough to experience a three course meal complete with a delicious homemade apple crumble down at the camp lodge next to the river with a roaring campsite fire and oil lamps - that was a truly memorable experience and the staff were so attentive in making it the best night for us (thank you Ashim and Myla!!). I've also left understanding so much more about tea and now profess myself to be quite the connoisseur!! So thank you to Parveez and Nibir for all your expertise and especially for the tour visiting the tea pickers - that was a great day and I think the tea basket looked great on me if I say so myself ;) You can tell how hard the management work to endeavour you have a great stay and it was lovely to spend some time drinking masala chai with Holly and Jemima on the veranda - thank you for all your help in ensuring I had a memorable stay! I'd recommend Glenburn to anyone - get stuck in, walk down into the village, day trip to Darjeeling, sample a green tea oil massage and have bed tea every morning - you won't regret it!! This place is a little chunk of heaven. Stayed March 2017, traveled solo"Cuca: "WOW"
"Place Located in Jimbaran. A very secluded area as most of the driver is not familiar of the small road. Ambiance Perfect! They have 3 types of seating area: Dining Room, Bar and Garden. If you want to see the art creation of your food, i suggest you seat at the Bar area as that's where you can see what Chef does! Like 'live show'. Garden seating has a good ambiance but we didn't seat outside because of mosquito (that's just me). Dining room has a semi private arrangement as each table has curtains in between other tables which is a great idea! It has a very homey-cozy feeling! Service They have more than enough staff to assist you. They serve with smile and very warmth. You can feel that they are proud of their work and that they enjoy it! Food Here comes the bomb! We ordered the Chef's Tasting Menu and it's soooo worth it! The creativity and intricate workmanship is WOW! From presentation to food taste is just the best! My fave was the number 3, Fish! (It's in the photo - looks like a flower). The food that excites me the most was the dessert called Bali Breakfast (in photo- looks like egg)! It's something you MUST order! The coconut and mango flavor with the crusty (granola i think) is perfectly combined into an amazing dessert! This place has thought of everything from the start to the end of your dining experience. They'll give you something to start of to enhance your palette and a drink at the end for digestion...just WOW! It's one side of Bali you've never experienced before and it's really worth every $$$ and time. Definitely highly recommended to visit and try when in Bali. Not recommended for family with kids. I'll be back to try the other dish on my next Bali Trip!"Satri House: "Perfect. bliss"
"Nothing to add really to the other reviewers. This place is splendid with style and characters, quiet because a bit away from the main road. Will absolutely return. Would only say that breakfast service is a bit difficult - you have to order piecemeal (or anyway, that's what our waitress did). Stayed April 2017, traveled with family"The Cabochon Hotel: "Best restaurant ever"
Amazing food & great prices. The atmosphere is amazing and so romantic. The food is delicious. Everything we ordered was so good. Also the interior of the restaurant is so classy and elegant. After dinner we had some tea, in one of the tea rooms. I had such an amazing experience and will definitely be back
