From the beginning we felt hard welcome. You can feel that the staff is wel threated. Very clean rooms with nice decoration with nice extras in the bathroom. Breakfast is exellent! The shuttleservice is easy and is a nice service. The swimmingpool area clean and relax. The staff at the restaurant is really helpfull and proffesional of course due the power of the food/beverage manager( european). "We were only there for one night, but it's a spectacular location - 12 nicely designed bungalows in a green park where you can't see or hear your neighbors. There were two Khmer families shooting their wedding albums - which gives you some idea of how nice it was - and with a 25 mètre pool you don't need to do into the sea - but there is a 59 mètre or so pier which takes you over the initial mud and far enough out that the sea is easy to swim in Food was excellent - although slightly bizarrely they had no fish or crabs. "Traveller, once you come to Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia, male sure that you geh accomodation in this marvellous Hotel. Never Met a friendlier ans Most helpful straff, especially the ladies at the reception. The interior is original, the rooms arge large, so arge the bathrooms. We had a recommendation and made a reservation (recommended as the restaurant was full). We each had different tasting menus and both were excellent - great flavours and well presented. A good and not too expensive complimentary wine list so for the quality it was well priced. The staff were friendly and interesting to talk to the owner/chef whi visited all the tables.Locavore: "good food and great service"
We had an incredible experience at this restaurant. The food was flawless, but we were truly impressed with the ease, welcoming, and fluidity of the staff. They thought of everything. From greeting us as we walked in. It is clear that they are as passionate about the guests' experience as much as the food they're creating. Do yourself a favour and go visit. It is a beautiful place surrounded by nature. You would be able to hear birds singing and the wind blowing from morning to night. It is truly a relaxing place. The food at the restaurant is wonderful and the staffs are excellent. They are very attentive and will remember personal requests. It is a place to appreciate the history and the culture behind the resort. "10 years ago I have stayed in the hotel run by the same owner as Cabochon's and it was an unforgettable experience, that's why after 10 years, I decided to spend a night here at Cabochon and hoped it was as great as the previous one, and it didn't disappoint. To me, people in the hotel are important, cause they are the ones who make you feel welcome and home, and staff at Cabochon is definitely warm and lovely, always having smiles on their cute faces.The hotel is undoubtedly beautiful, you really have to appreciate the owner's taste, I feel like a princess when staying in the room with all the antiques and retro vibe. The restaurant ""Thai Lao Yeh"" in the hotel serves good Thai food, too. My local friend who dined with us said it is authentic and delicious. With all the above mentioned, what's not to love about Cabochon? I hope next time I don't have to wait 10 years to go back, see you really soon, Cabochon. Hands down one of the best restaurants in Asia, if not the world. We had the tasting menu paired with cocktails. Every item is delicious and has story to it. Listening to chef explaining the ingredients and how each menu is cooked is part of the fun. It’s like a culinary to the Indonesian cuisine with modern interpretations. If there’s a Michelin guide here in Indonesia, Locavore deserves at least 2 stars!!SANAK RETREAT BALI: "Heaven"
