Muang La Lodge: "Luxury lodge"

Review by: Pushkin007 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Beautiful lodge with large rooms, some overlooking the river. Very luxurious - soft bed, choice of soft or hard pillows, complimentary fresh fruit in the room, his and hers sinks in the en-suite, and bathrobes and slippers. All meals are included. Dinner is a set menu using fresh, local ingredients - small portions but beautifully presented, and there are 5 courses! Drinks are relatively expensive, but there is a good choice of wine. Tea and coffee after dinner are extra and should probably be included in the price. Nice breakfast - croissants, pain-au-chocolate, fresh fruit, choice of eggs etc. The lodge will arrange a variety of excursions with a local guide, and we did a day's trek very much off the beaten track - packed lunch was provided and delicious. There is a fab infinity swimming pool on an island in the middle of the river accessed by a bamboo bridge. Also a natural hot springs with an outdoor tub filled daily. A nice touch is that the lodge has also provided a separate hot spring bath for locals to come and use, free of charge. After dark, externally, the lodge is lit by oil lamps, giving a very romantic feel. All staff, who with the exception of the General Manager, are all locals, are extremely helpful and courteous, and we were made to feel very welcome. An excellent experience. "

Tugu Malang: "Amazing and they know what GF means!"

Review by: thefoodchannel | Source: Trip Advisor
Loved this place! Simply beautiful and charming! Every detail, every flower and candle was just perfect. The hotel is very clean and everybody is kind and helpful! We had dinner at the restaurant and I have to admit that I was a bit nervous telling them about my celiac disease and how they had to be careful! The menager himself discuss with me about what I could eat and how everything had to be done! I had an amazing dinner and a delicious breakfast!!! Rubby as well manage to treat us so well making us feel at home!!! Definetly a place to stay!!!

Villa Song Saigon: "Wonderful and Relaxing Boutique Hotel. Luxury of a bygone era"

Review by: KayeandDave | Source: Trip Advisor
"French Colonial Property (in District 2) overlooking the Saigon River .... immaculate ... superb !!! Everything about VILLA SONG was superb, including it's location ... so close to the city BUT far enough away, allowing you to fit into the groove of trendy District 2's ever-changing residential area) Friendly staff and very very helpful. Courtesy river transport to and from the city. Grounds magnificent. Pool sparkling. Rooms in keeping with French Colonial theme ... so relaxing ... rain or shine. Breakfast delicious and fine dining at restaurant ... superb. Anything they could do to help you enjoy your stay ... they did. Would go back in a heartbeat !!!!"

Rakkojae Seou: "Beautiful hanok"

Review by: fallletter | Source: Trip Advisor
I stayed here for 3 nights. The hostess and Kim, hanok manager, were very nice and warm-hearted people. I would recommend this place to travelers who seek traditional hanok to stay. My tour guide told me other hanoks are small compared to Rakkojae.

The Cabochon Hotel and Residence: "Chic Boutique."

Lovely eight room residence. Staff super helpful and friendly. Beautiful interior design. Easy access to Sky Train and the "cool" area of Thong Lo. Amazing shower. I would recommend a stay here. Roof top pool. Great fun and tonics in the evening with an excellent array of find to chose from.

David’s Kitchen: "Great food, wonderful host, fantastic experience"

Review by: Trip Advisor | Source: jeromeng2109
This was a gem. David greeted us when we arrived and appeared genuinely interested in where we came from. Menu offered a broad range of dishes from local Thai to European fare. If you have guests who have different tastes, this is definitely the place to go. Service was personalized and attentive. Food was tasty and absolutely delightful. Great selection of wine and the bartender was accommodating to my partner's request for a specific drink mix. Chill environment amidst the high energy of old Chiang Mai. Reservations highly recommended.

Inle Princess Resort: "A few suggestions"

Review by: Timothy C | Source: tripadvisor.com
"I don't need to say much more about the quality of this hotel or the beauty of its location. Go to Myanmar. Go to Inle Lake. Stay at the Inle Princess. Here, though, are a few tips for those who do follow the directives above: 1. Take advantage of the complimentary shoe shine. 2. There really isn't any charge for the beer in the mini-bar. 3. The hotel leaves earplugs in the room (presumably for those whose sleep might be disturbed by frogs and lizards). You may not need the earplugs during the night, but hold onto them, because they are very useful on the boats, which have very loud outboard motors. 4. The boat tour of the lake is essential. Make sure to include a visit to a local market. The basic boat tour lasts for one day, but it is a very long day (especially if you start with the market), so you should consider splitting the tour and doing it over two days. 5. When you visit the village of the silversmiths, avoid the large shop at the entrance to the village -- the one with the tiny workshop staffed by ""brothers"" who play with their cell phones until a tourist boat arrives and a large showroom stuffed with overpriced silver that must come from China. 6. The artisanal workshops on the village side of the hotel are definitely worth a visit. 7. Eat the Shan noodles for breakfast -- order them the evening before."

GLENBURN TEA ESTATE: "Mrs"

Review by: EmilyB-N | Source: tripadvisor.com
"Our adventure was with our two best friends & our four children. Be prepared for a bumpy ride to get to Glenburn but once you make it, it's like your very own piece of Eden! The bedrooms are exquisitely decorated with beautiful Indian material & very comfortable all with electric blankets & glorious white cotton sheets. We stayed in the Planters suite which boasts a huge four-poster bed as well as a single bed for our 3 year old daughter & Glenburn provided a travel cot for our younger daughter. We were all very comfortable & warm during our 3 night stay. The staff are exceptional & will stop at nothing to help make your stay the best it can be. They are charming & polite & were fantastic with our children. We even managed a child free day when we did the 2 hour walk to the river & stayed for a leisurely lunch while the children were looked after by the team. On our return they were all happily exhausted from a day of outside playing & two very content couples had a peaceful night! The food is utterly delicious, with lots of it grown from the beautifully kept Glenburn garden - I definitely put on weight over my 3 night stay! One of Glenburns other charms is being able to enjoy a delectable 3 course dinner in the lovely dining room in the company of the other guests who are from all over the world. It is so interesting sharing travelling stories & hearing others different experiences. All in all I cannot rate Glenburn more highly & hope very much that I will return again. Many thanks to you all at Glenburn for making our stay such a happy one - we all loved it! "

Reverie Siam: "Wonderful hotel"

Review by: Hilary S | Source: Trip Advisor
"I'm still dreaming of going back here. We had an absolutely fabulous time; the space was beautiful, service impeccable and couldn't have asked for anything more. We stayed in one of the separate houses and it was lovely; everything decorated nicely, well maintained and spacious. The breakfast was the best in Thailand. All of the staff were so kind and helpful. We ate several times in the restaurant and had great food every time. Honestly, this was the best hotel we stayed at during our trip and we would go back to Pai just to visit again."
