Rooms
House Santai (1 bedroom)
At 370sqm of private space and set a little further away from the other houses, House Santai is the perfect honeymoon house. It is dedicated in design and theme to the Danish ‘gentleman pirate known as Mads Lange or ‘the King of Bali’. The fabrics, mainly red, black and white are hand woven gringsing from East Bali, together with golden threaded songket from Singaraja. The upstairs master bedroom is set perfectly with an antique four poster bed, a separate dressing room and a shower bathroom. A huge day bed and antique dining table furnish the downstairs living area with a small kitchen and open garden bathroom. 370sqm of private areas – ideal for honeymoon. The garden features a private swimming pool with sun loungers and shady Balinese pavilion. This villa comfortably sleeps up to 2 guests.House Sepi (2 bedrooms)
Decorated with peaceful sepias, blues and white hand painted and printed ikat fabrics from East Java, the interior design is reminiscent of the atmospheric paintings of the Dutch artist W.O.J. Nieuwenkamp (1874 – 1950). Nieuwenkamp was one of the first foreign artists to live in Bali and also the owner of one of the first bicycles on the island – the moment immortalized in a carving of him on his bike on the wall of Pura Meduwe Karang temple, Kubutambahan near Singaraja. House Sepi has a master bedroom with dressing room and shower bathroom upstairs, and a double or twin bedroom with a large open garden bathroom downstairs. The garden features a private swimming pool with sun loungers and shady Balinese pavilion. This villa comfortably sleeps up to 4 adults and 1 child.House Senyum (2 bedrooms)
Dedicated to the famed Belgian artist Le Mayeur, this house has the master bedroom and bathroom upstairs, with a double or twin bedroom facing the beach and a twin garden bathroom with two four poster beds downstairs. The beautiful rainbow colours used by the artist are repeated in the pinks and chartreuse greens of the fabrics used throughout the house. A delightful terrace, facing the pool and beach, is set under the thatched eaves of the first floor and provides the perfect place to wile away a sunny afternoon. The garden features a private swimming pool with sun loungers and shady Balinese pavilion. This villa comfortably sleeps up to 4 adults and 1 child.House Senang (3 bedroom)
This house is inspired by the artistic and musical legacy of the famous German musician and painter Walter Spies (1895 – 1942) who moved to Ubud after living in Yogyakarta in 1927. At this time many artists and anthropologists from all over the world were attracted to Bali and set up homes there. Finding his social life too hectic, surrounded by the artists of his Pita Maha co-operative, Spies moved to peaceful Iseh in East Bali in 1937 and lived there for a while, painting his dreamlike landscapes that influenced many local Balinese artists, until he was deported in World War II.House Senang has the same basic layout as Sepi, but includes an additional pavillion which houses the third bedroom, a double or twin garden bedroom with large open bathroom downstairs and a terrace. All the fabrics in this house are cheerful oranges, purples and green weaves and handcrafted batiks from all over Indonesia. The garden features a private swimming pool with sun loungers and shady Balinese pavilion. This villa comfortably sleeps up to 6 adults and 1 child.
