Vietnamese cuisine usually recalls a very rustic Vietnam, but Secret Garden 131 Calmette is very modern thanks to its harmonious and elegant design. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The inside area is adorned with chic furniture and rustic bamboo, and the the outside area offers a quiet, peaceful space in a lovely garden. Guests can discover unique Vietnamese cuisine that combines traditional dishes with a modern flair. Besides the many traditional Vietnamese dishes there is also a fusion menu that includes: spring rolls with grilled chicken, avocado and brown rice, seafood and mushroom salad, stir-fried pho, and stir-fried udon with roasted duck.

Hidden in an alley in downtown Saigon, it is impossible to guess from the outside that this space has a bamboo roof structure, green mosaic bar, plants, a garden with two peacocks, a pond and a very large black stone Buddha statue. The restaurant has a distinctively relaxing beach resort feeling.

The Chef & the Brigade

“I spent many years working in several 5-star hotels and restaurants in Vietnam. My cooking style focuses on cooking authentic Vietnamese and Asian style dishes. Here at Secret Garden Restaurant 131 Calmette, I oriented the menu to serve fusion and modern cuisine to compliment the restaurant’s design and ambience.”

“Located in the heart of Saigon, this restaurant has a large courtyard, and serves modern Vietnamese cuisine in a relaxed beach-side like setting.”

Kim, the discoverer.
