ITINERARY BOOK

This journey has been personally designed by Abhay Magaldas, founder and owner of the House of MG. “The best way to save the old may be to adapt it to changing times, that's what some savvy owners of old heritage Havelis are doing to save their legacy.” Here he is sharing his passion for Gujarat Culture and Nature.

All our itineraries have generally been constructed on the basis of the rooms that have the most charm or best view, and not necessarily the first prices, nor the most expensive suites.
We can of course adjust according to your request.

Highlights of the Journey:

  • Nirona Village
  • Banni Grasslands
  • Bhuj’s Heritage
  • Little Ran Safari
  • Lions of Gir
  • Tigers of Kanha

Captivate yourself on a journey through the cultural heartlands of Gujarat and the untamed wilderness of Central India. This meticulously crafted itinerary blends the vibrant artistry of Kutch with the raw beauty of Gir National Park and the legendary tiger trails of Kanha. You will venture deep in a jeep and a guide. Scan the rocky outcrops for dens of desert cats, foxes, jackals, and occasionally wolves. During winter months, saucer-shaped depressions filled with leftover saltwater as the ocean swells during the monsoon, become an abundant feeding ground of marine crustaceans, attracting thousands of spectacular birds, including pelicans, flamingos, spoonbills, storks, cranes, and countless others journeying southwards from Siberia. Spend a morning exploring this landscape by jeep and on foot. On the return to Bhuj, break the journey at Chadva Rakhal Nature Reserve, the erstwhile hunting estate of the Kutch royalty. Walk through the old botanical garden, now a bewitching and overgrown sanctuary for bats and heronries.
