Wild Indonesia
- A Secret Retreats journey -
This journey has been personally designed by Gaye and Lorna to combine different wild life experiences in Indonesia from Borneo to Papua and can easily be extended with Komodo or Sumatra.
All our itineraries have generally been constructed on the basis of the rooms that have the most charm or best view, and not necessarily the first prices, nor the most expensive suites.
We can of course adjust according to your request.
Highlights of the Journey:
- a cruise to meet orangutans in the jungle of Boneo
- the reefs of Manado and Bunaken National Park
- the underwater life of Raja Ampat
Indonesia is an archipelago country, home to a stunning variety of plants and animals, many of which are endemic and can only be found within its borders. It is one of the world's most biologically diverse countries, with vast rainforests, coral reefs, and volcanic islands that support a wide range of flora and fauna. From the lush jungles of Sumatra to the pristine waters of Raja Ampat or the Komodo Islands, Indonesia offers an unparalleled opportunity to experience the natural wonders of Southeast Asia.
Exploring Wild Indonesia can mean trekking through dense forests to spot endangered orangutans or seeking out rare bird species in remote mountain ranges. It can also involve diving into the crystal-clear waters of Manado or Raja Ampat, where you'll find some of the most biodiverse marine environments in the world - a truly awe-inspiring itinerary nd once in a life-time experience for every nature lover, whether you are an avid birdwatcher, a passionate hiker, or a marine enthusiast.
Starting from Jakarta or Surabaya, this itinerary offer you to explore Borneo, Manado and Raja Ampat, and can easily be extended with adventures in Papua, a cruise around Komodo or the jungles on North Sumatra.
