Taxia Village is a picturesque Hakka village, located in a valley in Fujian Province, 2 hours from Xiamen. Listed in the top 15 Chinese Landscape Villages, Taxia village was built during the Ming Dynasty in 1426 and has been a famous hometown for overseas Chinese. There are more than 40 earthen buildings in round, rectangle or apron shapes as well as some Diaojiaolou (buildings built on wood pillars) around the village. The Fujian tulou (Fujian earthen buildings) are rural dwellings unique to the Hakka usually enclosed and fortified with very thick load-bearing rammed earth walls between three and five stories high and housing up to 800 people. We propose here a 4 day and 3 night all-inclusive experience to discover the Tulou cultural heritage and its earth buildings protected by UNESCO as World Heritage. A deep discovery of traditional Chinese Culture.
