Located in North Sulawesi, this region is a diver’s paradise — famous for its vibrant coral reefs, clear warm waters, and incredible biodiversity. Manado is among the highlights of diving in Indonesia, spread between several world-class dive regions, including mainland Manado, Bunaken National Marine Park, and Bangka Island.
The crystal-clear waters contain astonishingly high numbers of rare species — corals, sponges, and colorful reef fish — making it perfect for underwater photography and scuba diving holidays in Manado. The islands around Bunaken offer some of the best coral reef diving and the highest levels of biodiversity in the world, with large schools of fish gliding past divers on almost every descent.
