Discover East Java
- A Secret Retreats journey -
This journey has been personally designed by Ibu Ati, who is a native Balinese who has traveled around the Archipelago to understand and share the diversity of its people and cultures.
All our itineraries have generally been constructed on the basis of the rooms that have the most charm or best view, and not necessarily the first prices, nor the most expensive suites.
We can of course adjust according to your request.
Highlights of the Journey:
- Mount Bromo
- Kalibaru, Javanese Village
- Kawah Ijen, sulphur lake
This east java tour will lead us from Surabaya to Banyuwangi, crossing many smoking volcanoes, national parks, traditional villages, and unspoilt panoramas. East Java is often synonymous with raw volcanic power and unique landscapes created by these unpredictable mountains of fire, offering inspiring sunrises like on top of Mount Bromo or Mount Ijen, with its crater lake and brave sulphur miners. The volcanic activity has created a largely fertile area and verdant agriculture all across the region. At the end of this east java tour package, we will take a ferry to cross the Bali Strait—a stretch of water separating Java and Bali of 2.4 km wide at its narrowest between Ketapang and Gilimanuk—and drop you in the south of Bali.
