Olivier & Kiet built Le Passe Temps boutique “maison d’hôte” some 15 years ago - a hidden place by the sea in Krabi, away from the crowd but easy to tour from, a blend of authenticity and comfort. With this program, they share their best secrets off the beaten tracks from the Andaman Sea to Krabi.
All our itineraries have generally been constructed on the basis of the rooms that have the most charm or best view, and not necessarily the first prices, nor the most expensive suites.

Phang Nga Bay is undoubtfully one of Thailand main tourist attraction. It may well not be known as such, but everyone have heard about its islands, Phuket, Koh Phi Phi and Koh Lanta at least. This 520 kilometer itinerary will show you some of Phang Nga Bay wonders, famous and hidden likewise. It starts on the Andaman sea and the remote island of Koh Phra Thong, takes you down to Phuket island, which formed the eastern part of the bay, then all around it toward Krabi, on its west coast.

Your Journey Day by Day

Day 1 : Phuket Airport – Koh Phra Thong (-/-/-)
Pick up at Phuket airport upon landing, and drive you to Kuraburi Pier where a boat will wait for you to reach the island (2hrs), and eventually a golf cart to your villa. When you reach your home for the first 2 nights, you will discover a 12-kilometer stretch of white powdery sand bordered by the blue rolls of the Andaman waves... The rest of the day is yours: farniente, beach, massage – your choice.

Day 2 : Koh Phra Thong (B/-/-)
Enjoy your breakfast and you are free to design your program for the day.
Around 5pm, you will leave the resort to wine and nibbles at sunset by a pond in the tall savannah grass. For this trip we use the resort’s jeep. Ko Phra Thong’s savannah interior is a very interesting habitat – more reminiscent of Kenya than Thailand. As we head south keep an eye out for deer, birds and carnivorous plants. This unusual landscape mesmerizes our visitors with its mix of white sand, water brooks, clutches of Melaleuca trees and the long grass everywhere, leading one to expect giraffes or elephants to spring into sight at every corner. There is also a very good chance of spotting a lesser adjutant crane in the south of the island (one of only two colonies in Thailand).
Back to the lodge. No arrangement for dinner.

Day 3 : Koh Phra Thong – Phuket (B/L/-)
After breakfast and checkout, the boat of the Baba Eco Lodge will depart around 8am and take you back to Kuraburi Pier on the main land. Your driver and your guide will be waiting for you at the pier. We have organized a few breaks on this otherwise rather long journey to your next Secret-Retreats hotel.
First, we will stop for one hour of kayaking through a remarkable natural site at Pa Sai Boran - a mangrove where huge banyan trees are also growing. Then we will keep driving south for another 30mn, and stop at the famous beach city of Khao Lak for a lunch. If you feel like it, we will take the time for a swim as well. From there, another 2 hours will be needed to reach the cap of Kamala in Phuket, and the Paresa Resort (you should reach by 3 -3.30pm for check in. Settle down and discover your villa and its amazing view at Sunset.

Day 4 : Phuket (Kamala) (B/-/-)
No program for today. You can rest and enjoy the resort or arrange activities through the concierge.

Day 5 : Phuket – Krabi (B/L/D)
After breakfast and check out around 9.30am, your guide will meet you in the lobby and we will leave as soon as you are ready. It will take us near to one hour to reach the Sarasin Bridge which connects the island to the main land. From there, the scenery will change dramatically. Hills covered with dense forest on one side of the road, marsh and mangrove on the other, villages and temples scattered along the 4 lanes highway. There are numerous interesting sites to be discovered on the way. We will stop at a wonderful viewpoint on the whole bay - Samet Nangshe-, in a truly impressive royal temple, not to forget the delicious restaurant where we will have lunch.
Around 2pm, we continue the driver for less than 1 hour to visit Wat Ban Tong, Royal Temple of Hindu influence, huge, and lavishly decorated. We then continue for another hour to reach your final destination for 2 nights: Le Passe-Temps.

Day 6 : Tha Lane (B/L/D)
After breakfast, today we organize a Sea Tour - a day in Phang Nga Bay, aboard a Private Long Tail boat. Departure 9am and return around 4pm. All inclusive. Because its waters are rarely crystal clear, the northern part of the bay is still largely untouched by mass tourism. May the secret be kept forever! For those who love nature and calm, this unique landscape of imposing rocks and desert beaches is an absolute must-see.
Back to the hotel to rest.

Day 7 : Tha Lane – Krabi Airport (B/-/-)
After breakfast and depending on the time of your flight, a car will drive you from Le Passe-Temps to Krabi Airport (40mn), to catch your flight for your next destination.
