Aarya Surindhara
Owner of Mollisol Farm in Chiang Mai, Aarya has a passion for soils, food and art. At the organic farm, she focusses on growing unique produces naturally on some of the most fertile soils of Thai Highlands. Located at 1,200m of elevation, the farm is unique for its setting and offers an amazing view on Doi Ithanon and the lower range of the Himalaya.

All our itineraries have generally been constructed on the basis of the rooms that have the most charm or best view, and not necessarily the first prices, nor the most expensive suites.
We can of course adjust according to your request.

Thailand has not waited for international food guides to come to be one of the main gastronomic destinations in Asia. From street food, to fine dining and authentic regional specialities, the country has a lot to offer to your senses. With this journey we will explore 3 areas only from the fashionable eateries in Bangkok to the highland organic farms above Chiang Mai, with some unique settings on a train, in a villa or in a farm.

This journey will combine cultural discoveries in Bangkok, Ayutthaya and Chiang Mai, visits of markets, farms and some original dining experiences all along.

Your Journey Day by Day

10 days / 9 nights from 4,140 USD /person

based on 2 people traveling together

Day 1 : Bangkok arrival (no meal)
Arrival at Bangkok airport during the day. Welcome by your guide and transfer to your hotel in the city center, check in and free time to relax and enjoy the property. Meals are not included and we will make recommendations and reservations for you if you like our concierge to assist you.
Day 2 : Bangkok (B/-/-)
In the morning you will meet your guide at the hotel and drive to the bank of the Chao Phraya river. Embark a longtail boat to explore the fascinating canals (klongs) of Thonburi, on the opposite bank of the river. After a stroll along the canals and this journey back in time, along the Grand Canal, you will visit the Royal Barges Museum with its magnificent sculpted and decorated barges, then the majestic Wat Arun (temple of Dawn) by the river, raised towards the sky - it is dressed in colored ceramics. Back to your hotel, the rest of the day is yours. Meals not included.
Day 3 : Bangkok (B/-/-)
Departure from your hotel in the morning to the old town. We will start with a walk to the "Phak Khlong Talad" flower market, next to the river. From there you will continue by tuk tuk to reach Wat Pho. Visit of Wat Pho Temple - famous for its 46 meter long reclining Buddha and the incredible mother of pearl decoration. Short drive to the Grand Palace and visit this fabulous compound with its golden spires, stupas, reception halls, murals and of course the kingdom's palladium, the temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Keo). Back to your hotel, the rest of the day is yours. Meals not included.
Day 4 : Bangkok – Ayutthaya – Bohemian’s Residence (B/-/D)
After breakfast at the hotel, your driver and guide will be ready to take you to Ayutthaya, the first capital city of Siam. Your guide will escort you to the main sites of interest including: Wat Phra Si Sanphet, the symbol of Ayutthaya within the walls of the former royal palace, Wat Mongkhon Bophit, Wat Yai Chai Mongkol and its revered reclining Buddha and Wat Chaiwatthanaram by the river.
After lunch in a local restaurant you will head north to Suphanburi by road before embarking on a 20minute river cruise to your home for the next two nights, The Bohemian’s Residence. Your private 2-bedroom villa overlooks the river and includes a living room, terrace, swimming pool 13.5 x 3.5m and garden. The boat is available anytime and the housekeeper is at your service, discreet but always present. Your guide is also on hand if required. Afternoon tea and dinner will be served at the villa, poolside, riverside or in the dining room as you prefer.
HOTEL: Bohemian’s Residence (Villa)
Day 5 : Bohemian’s Residence (B/L/D)
We recommend discussing your preferred program of the day with your guide one day in advance. You may choose to simply relax and enjoy your villa, or perhaps just go for a stroll or cycle ride in the village... We would recommend an early rise to give alms to the monks from the local temple and witness this ancient and daily Buddhist ritual, returning to your villa for breakfast. And fishing on the river with a local’s guidance to ensure a good catch is not to be missed and you can cook and enjoy your catch of the day, fish and shrimp, that evening. Lunch at the villa, unless you prefer to find a local eatery by boat along the river... Enjoy a nap on your terrace, or by the pool, to the sound of the gently flowing river. Later take the boat upstream with your guide to meet the monks of a local temple and enjoy the simplicity of life along the river’s peaceful banks.

For your dinner, a private celebrity chef who has come especially from Bangkok will cook just for you, for a fine dining experience by the swimming pool. An unforgettable dinner with stars in the sky and in your plate!
HOTEL: Bohemian’s Residence (Villa)
Day 6 : Bohemian’s Residence – Samchuk – Chiang Mai (B/L/D)
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast after which your guide will take you to visit Samchuk, a neighbouring town, famed for its traditional market. Unchanged for centuries, Samchuk’s market is a charming place to witness local life, stroll the market’s alleyways and explore the wooden shops over the river with your guide on-hand to answer your questions or help you shop and chat with the locals. Lunch will be in a local restaurant next to the market.
You will be back on the road before returning to your villa in the early afternoon. Free time. At the end of the afternoon you will say goodbye to this corner of paradise and head to Ayutthaya train station. You will take the night train from Ayutthaya to Chiang Mai in 1st class. To complete this trip a basket with a delicious picnic dinner (includes non-alcoholic drink) and a night kit will be provided.
Your guide and driver go back to Bangkok

Night on board the train (first class cabin)
Day 7 : Chiang Mai (B/L/-)
On arrival in Chiang Mai in the morning a new will welcome you and bring you to Mae Rim about 30 minutes drive away, to Terra Restaurant, a member of Secret Tables which supports organic local farmers. You will refresh and have a coffee, then jump on a 4WD car to go up the mountain (another 40mn) to reach the unique Mollissol farm and its organic plantations of flowers, fruits, vegetables and herbs. This real little paradise at an altitude of 1400 meters, dominates the surroundings and the Doi Inthanon mountain range, it will be exclusively reserved for you. You can walk in the plantation, take as many photos as you like, relax and enjoy the beauty of the place with appetizers and snacks served with a bottle of champagne Taittinger. You will drive back to Mae Rim at the “Terra” restaurant. The restaurant uses mostly organic vegetables and fruits, either from the farm or from local farmers. You will continue your tasting with a delicious lunch accompanied by a bottle of wine.
In the afternoon your local guide and driver will take you back to Chiang Mai city for check in at your hotel and free time. No arrangement for dinner
Day 8 : Chiang Mai (B/-/-)
In the morning you will go for a boat trip on the Ping River which crosses the city of Chiang Mai, and runs along the banks with their small houses to discover the sweetness of life, before returning by boat to the city center. Walk to the large central market in Varorot with its colorful stands and northern specialties. You will then depart by tuk tuk for a ride, passing through the small streets of the old town to the Three Kings monument. Return to your hotel. Free time for lunch. Early afternoon your guide will pick you up again for a short drive to the most revered temple in the region, the Doi Suthep, located on top of the mountain overlooking the city. Below the temple, a 300-step Naga staircase leads to the temple entrance (a funicular is available if you prefer to the many steps). Your guide will take you around the temple, and on a clear day the views over the valley and Chiang Mai are especially beautiful at sunset. Back to your hotel, the rest of the day is yours. Dinner not included.
Day 9 : Chiang Mai (B/-/D)
Today: private bicycle tour (accompanied by your English or French speaking guide)

In the morning transfer to the meeting point for the start of your bicycle ride. The excursion lasts approximately 4 hours at a leisurely pace south of Chiang Mai. You will stroll in the countryside and on the site of the ruins of the ancient city of Wiang Kum Kam, make a stop at a school (except weekends and holidays), in a pottery workshop, you will ride along the river Ping and will have the opportunity to visit a local pastry shop and market. The pace is leisurely with short stops every hour, water is provided as well as a light meal (local specality) in a small restaurant. Around 1:30 p.m. drive back to your hotel and free time.
