Your Host and The Team

“We discovered Vietnam thanks to a professional mobility project for one of us, right in the midst of a global pandemic... Braving the adversity of headwinds since the beginning of 2020, we have lived torn between Saigon and Paris, sharing beautiful moments together in a few remarkable places.

In this context, Hoi An became one of our favorite destinations, not only for its exceptional heritage, its nearby beautiful beach, and surrounding villages, but also for its gastronomy and art of living. Enchanted by the place, we had the opportunity to establish a new life project there, to which we have been fully dedicated since the beginning of 2023. Life at La Maison d’Indochine is that of a family home with a French identity, where openness to other cultures and attention to the major environmental issues of our societies are at the heart of everything. We intimately share who we are and what we love, with the warmth and care that guides us in welcoming guests, who are always unique. ”

The room themes at La Maison d Indochine include the Laos Room with calming views over the surrounding rice fields and waterways. The room’s decor takes inspiration from the ancient Vietnamese tradition of creating red incense sticks and features a king-sized bed, a large bathroom with a walk-in shower, air conditioning and a ceiling fan, and gentle birdsong from the barnyard below. The Cambodge Room takes water as its theme with views out over the river and La Maison d Indochine’s pool. The room faces onto the Tra Que vegetable gardens and features a king-sized bed, a bathroom with an ornate Italian toilet, sink, and shower, a ceiling fan and air conditioning, and a view over the pool. Fertility, kumquats, and coffee inspired the decor of the Tonkin Suite bedecked with books, watercolors, lacquerware, and antiques. Containing a king-sized and queen-sized bed along with a large bathroom and living area, the room can comfortably accommodate four people and opens out onto the La Maison d Indochine Hoi An’s lush gardens. Formerly the home of internationally recognized photographer and artist Réhahn, each room has been inspired by his photography and his passion for the cultures of Southeast Asia.
