Champasak is perfectly located close to Wat Phou temple (a pre-Angkorian period Khmer temple, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2001). Champasak is the ideal starting point for visiting all the sights and places of interest in southern Laos including the Plain of Jars, the Mekong Archipelago 4000 islands, waterfalls including South East Asia’s largest waterfall the Khone Phapheng Falls. All these sites are nearby to Residence Bassac. Champasak is also ideally placed as an entry point to Laos (Thailand via Ubon Ratchatani, and Cambodia) or an exit point for overland and river travel. Champasak is currently off the beaten path of mass tourism and retains its beautiful charm and slow-life feel as a result. Superior Double or Twin Rooms (4 units)
A choice of 2 double rooms set with Queen beds, or 2 twin rooms set with Twin Single beds. At 20sqm for the Double Rooms and 25sqm for the Twin Rooms, the Superior Rooms comfortably sleep up to 2 people. Bright and modern in feel, the rooms are decorated with colonial-contemporary furniture and are set with private en-suite bathrooms. The Double Rooms enjoy views of the Mekong and the Twin Rooms enjoy views of the quaint Champasak street that winds its way past Residence Bassac.
Deluxe Garden View (4 units)
Each of these 45sqm rooms is set with a Queen Bed (1.85m) and a sofa bed and can comfortably sleep up to 3 people (additional charges apply to sleep 3 people). Overlooking the mature tropical garden, the Deluxe Garden View rooms are bright and airy individual bungalows with private en-suite bathrooms. Set with contemporary furniture the room’s layout includes a lounge space, working space set with a desk and a terrace.
Suite Mekong Side (2 units)
These 50sqm suites are set with a Queen bed and sofa bed, sleeping a maximum of 3 people (extra charges apply to sleep 3 people). Bright, airy and spacious the Mekong Side Suites are decorated with a mix of colonial and contemporary furniture and cooling colourful notes from the soft blue tones used in the decor within the suite. The suites also include private en-suite bathrooms, a lounge space, and a terrace that overlooks the garden and the picturesque road through Champasak.
Suite Duplex (4 units)
The 4 duplex suites are a spacious 50sqm set over 2 floors, with the bedroom upstairs, and the lounge, working space and private en-suite bathroom on the ground floor. With lots of natural light, contemporary furniture and décor, and a terrace with views of the garden and the Phou Khao Mountain beyond, the style and atmosphere of the duplex suites is bright, refreshing and modern.
