The brief was clear, to ‘bring the outdoors indoors’, and they have clearly achieved this at Utsav Camp Sariska. The location is near the renowned boulders of Tehla, a piece of land that is 375,000 sq/ft or 3.5 hectares with views of the Aravalli Hills and the surrounding wilderness. The sense is one of living within a sanctuary, side by side with nature, and the stay experience is all the more luxurious for it. The earthy palette used to colour the hotel is easy on the eye, restful, and blends beautifully with the surrounding natural beauty. The owner’s love and respect for nature ensured that sustainability was a key tenet of the design and build and remains just as important today within the running of the Utsav Camp. Natural materials were used as much as possible in the construction, with local wood, stone and bamboo the keynotes of each building.

More than 85% of the team at Utsav Camp has been employed from the local community, sustainably supporting and bridging with the local economy and also enhancing the stay experience as the staff are able to share their local knowledge on culture, traditions and the surrounding flora and fauna with guests.
