Heritage Cruises was built to reinvent Vietnamese cruising. As Vietnam’s first boutique cruise ship, it offers cruises along the Red River and in the Gulf of Tonkin. Featuring just 20 cabins (in four categories), the vessel guarantees passengers the opportunity to experience Vietnam’s distinctive culture, complemented by personalised service. Every detail has a story to tell, from the architecture to the cuisine and art pieces, even the music played onboard. The vessel has high ceilings, full panoramic ocean views, hand-painted mosaic tiles, original artwork, and a four-poster colonial bed in the centre of each suite. Experience an enticing blend of authentic classical French Indochina design and elegant Vietnamese charm. Away from the crowds usually found in Halong, it cruises lower to the Cat Ba region, which is more quiet but equally beautiful. Heritage Cruises also has the strongest and fastest engines in Halong, allowing one to reach further and into more secluded destinations.

Responsible cruising is all about attitude, and Heritage Cruise’s team is committed to socially responsible travel. To reduce their carbon footprint, they save fresh water and organic waste, which is then transferred and recycled. This helps to keep the bay clean and healthy for future generations to enjoy. The team also collects rubbish when kayaking, and each month they clean all the beaches and trails used for trekking, so that guests can enjoy the pristine beaches and coves in their operating areas.
The ship was built using sustainable materials and new engines, and the structure of the cruise ship was designed to maximise natural light and airflow to reduce the need for air conditioning. The company uses no plastic bags, provides reusable water bottles, and encourages guests to reuse their towels and linens. To support the local artisans, this cruise ship company also sells locally made products onboard in the gift shop.
