The Blue Mansion was a wonderful, unexpected experience, a beautifully restored house with a calm and quiet environment. Large comfortable room, good choice of breakfasts and delicious food and good service in the Indigo restaurant. It is well worthwhile doing one of the tours to learn about the fascinating history given by a very entertaining Chinese lady. We found all the staff without exception to be very friendly and helpful, but in particular Shirley (I think that was her name) who gave us lots of advice of where to go and what to do which we did – the street art in Georgetown, markets, restaurants, Penang Hill and Battu Ferringai, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for a very different few days, we haven’t stopped talking about theBlue Mansion.
