“Most people will travel on the day to HQ prior to their climb but this year, I decided to stay at HQ so it will not feel so rushed the next day. This turned out to be the best idea. We came as a group of 4 and were given a private room to ourselves. Everything was very clean and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. Towels were provided and so’s bottles of water and added bonus, we have tea/coffee making facility in our room! What a treat.
Overall, I would recommend it to anyone thinking of hiking up Mount Kinabalu .... stay a night at the park prior to your climb.”
