Situated in the village of Nimmu, Nimmu House location at the confluence of the sacred river of the Indus, which rises in Tibet, and the Zankar River gives a spellbinding view on the rushing waters of the valley and the golden mountains of Ladakh. Nimmu House is the perfect stay before or after trekking in Ladakh thanks to its relatively low altitude of 3100m.
The property features a stable with yaks, dzos, cows and goats, terraces and a 4,500 square meters orchard with hundreds of fruit trees (apricot, apple, walnut). Nimmu House is both a perfect playground for your kids to get in touch with nature and yourself for relaxation, meditation and yoga. The two Buddhist temples on the property convey a very special aura to the place.
With only 7 Ladakhi comfortable tents scattered throughout the orchard and 5 charming rooms all designed by French designer Emeline Leveille-Nizerolle using traditional and local materials, Nimmu House will be your home away from home in the heart of Himalaya.

A simple sustainable project, local women are invited to collect the apricots in the orchard for free, which they then use to make homemade apricot jam. The hotel purchases this jam for its own use, and guests are also welcome to buy some to take home with them.
