Ginger has been launched in 2018, and cruises in Lan Ha Bay, a quiet extension of the famed UNESCO World Heritage site Halong Bay. It features an Indochinese-Vietnamese heritage theme paired with refined contemporary accents. Each of the 12 spacious suites has wide sliding glass doors that open onto a private balcony. Refined cuisine has a refreshing lifestyle component. The terrace deck has an almost 360-degree light-flooded restaurant where live cooking is performed. The adjacent pool is encircled by shaded cabanas and sun beds. There is also a spa onboard.

Welcome to Halong Bay

Set in northeastern Vietnam, and meaning “descending dragon”, Halong Bay is a site to behold. Discover this UNESCO World Heritage site onboard a traditional junk boat, and meander around thousands of majestic towering limestone karsts and verdant islets amid emerald green waters. Explore caves and grottos filled with magnificent stalagmites and stalactites. Kayak, swim, snorkel, dive or try squid fishing. Visit a local fishing village orgo hiking atCát Bà National Park. Take a cooking class or pamper yourself at a spa. Savour tantalizing Vietnamese cuisine and enjoy a candlelight dinner in a cave. A world apart – immerse in picturesque Halong Bay.

“Ginger is a junk boat with just 12 cabins that sails around Halong Bay and the lesser-known Lan Ha Bay. Spacious, comfortable and well appointed, the cruises run for one or two nights.”

Kim, the discoverer.
