A Season of Light, Bloom, and Easy Escapes

Nepal in March & April

There’s a particular softness to Nepal in March and April.

The skies are clear but gentle. The air is warm but not heavy. The Himalayas appear almost daily, as if they’ve decided this is the season to show up without hesitation.

In Kathmandu, mornings begin with golden light over temple courtyards and rooftop cafés. This is when staying at The Nanee feels just right — central enough to wander heritage squares on foot, yet calm enough to retreat after a day of color, culture, and perhaps even the joyful chaos of Holi.

Then you fly west to Pokhara, where the rhythm slows. Spring means rhododendrons in bloom and clear views of the Annapurna range reflected on the lake at sunrise. At Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge, perched above the valley, the mountains feel close enough to touch. No intense expedition required — just an early wake-up, a cup of tea, and the Himalayas glowing pink.

That’s the beauty of Nepal in these months.

It’s considered the best season — yet it remains accessible and affordable. You don’t need weeks of planning or extreme trekking ambitions. In five to seven days, you can experience ancient cities, blooming hills, and snow peaks under perfect blue skies.

March and April are when Nepal feels open, balanced, and generous.

You arrive — and the mountains are already waiting.
