Pimali Foundation’s Fundraising Dinner at Cabochon

565

It is all great honour to invite you to the charity-dinner event on December 1st at The Cabochon Hotel Bangkok.

PIMALI Foundation in Nongkhai has taken shape over the last two years. The goal of the PIMALI project is to assist underprivileged youth and orphans at the age of 17 and older, who have finished their compulsory schooling in Thailand. The aid will involve providing them with a basic practical hotel training of one year, to secure a professional future for them in the hospitality industry as well as financial independence.

With the help from all of us, PIMALI will fight exploitation of disadvantaged young people and reduce poverty in the north-eastern (Isan) region of Thailand.

The foundation’s training is focusing on basic hotel skills such as cooking, service, housekeeping and hotel reception. The courses will be given by Thai professionals recruited from the hotel industry. Intensive English language courses will also be provided as to improve the chances of professional integration.

Moreover, the project will include actual renewable technologies, in order to get as close as possible to a net zero energy balance and sustainability practice which include recuperating rainwater to use a running water, separating and composting waste and to organically grow food for the operation of the training center as well as for the students and professors.

How Can You Help?

This year it has been challenging for the foundation to hold the annual charity events in Switzerland, where the foundation usually generates almost 80% of their donations for the upcoming year to meet the needed budget for their student-program. That was a major reason why we had this desire to organize a charity night here on Thai soil.

— All profits of our charity dinner will be donated to Pimali! —

With the two top talented chefs, one kitchen & a great cause to support! A 4-hands dinner between Chef Num of Samuay & Sons and MAK KHANG in UdonthanI and Chef Steven John of Empty Plates will bring magical flavours right to your tables, together they are preparing & serving a 6-course tasting menu for the main dining room & an even more indulgent 8-course tasting menu in the private dining rooms of the stunning Cabachon Hotel, located in Sukhumvit 45.
