The Mekong Delta is a rich and vibrant escape just a few hours from Ho Chi Minh City: colonial architecture, floating markets, plantations, fishing, boats, and bicycles. It is a condensed mosaic of Vietnam and a fascinating journey through this vital artery of the country, from My Tho to Can Tho. A Mekong Delta cruise tour through the delta is the best way to witness daily life on the water, and to explore the still-heritage Khmer pagodas with the vibrant colors and intricate script of Cambodian-style temples.

Your Journey Day by Day

Check in and relax with views, the pool, and the quiet environment at the lodge.
Dinner at leisure.
Around 9 am, embark on a Mekong Delta bicycle tour across the island to visit fishing villages and markets along the “Fish Farm road.” This 13 km route takes about 3h30 at a slow pace, allowing you to explore local life and activities through the villages.
After returning to the lodge for lunch, enjoy a free afternoon to rest, swim, or relax with a spa treatment.
Dinner at leisure.
After boarding, meet the crew and settle into your cabin with a welcome drink. Departure downstream of the Hau River. Lunch on board while en route. Turning into Nicolai canal, towards the Mang Thit river, you can view a scenery of rice fields, sugar cane, woods on the near banks.
By mid-afternoon, the Bassac anchors for a short shore visit. Discover the peaceful countryside life, fruit orchards, and rice fields, or opt for a short cycling tour in the surrounding area. Return to the boat, relax on deck, or enjoy the bar as the sun sets. The Bassac then sets anchor for the night downstream from Tra On.

3 or 4 nights (depending if you go for the extension or not) on a bed & breakfast basis in the hotels detailed in the itinerary.
