Explore Champasak and Bolaven Plateau
- A Secret Retreats journey -
This journey has been personally designed Touny,
who is born in Laos and likes to share her favourite spots across the country and her knowledge and passion for the nature and history around the mysticMekong River
All our itineraries have generally been constructed on the basis of the rooms that have the most charm or best view, and not necessarily the first prices, nor the most expensive suites.
We can of course adjust according to your request.
This itinerary is a more classic exploration of the Southern part of Laos, starting with the Bolaven Plateau and its magic waterfalls, just like if water was falling from the sky in the middle of the jungle. Then from Champasak where the hotel is located, you will also explore the old colonial town, Don Khone for the 4,000 famous islands of the lower Mekong, sometimes by boat, by 4WD or by bicycle. A slow journey around the Mekong, source of food and water, social center for the settlements along its banks, the river plays an essential role in the life of People in Laos – it is also called locally” The Mother of Waters”.
