Calm, spacious, ultimate attention to detail. The blue lime washed walls fill your vision. The very high ceilings leave room for generous breeze ways. It is residing in your personal but extravagant fantasy. And it is a very shot walk to Red Garden, the outdoor food hall of your dreams.
Rachamankha: "Calm, cool haven. Love"
We loved Chiang Mai and loved our stay at the Rachamankha! The wonderful service began when we were picked up at the airport with ease and check in was a breeze. We were in room 10 which was nice and roomy. We were a little surprised that there wasn't more light in the room-- a bit of a medieval vibe-- but we slept well and after 3 days in Bangkok that's what we needed. The breakfasts were delicious and the grounds were nice and quiet. The pool was wonderful after exploring Chiang Mai and surroundings. It was our 10 year anniversary and the hotel treated us to champagne. Nice touch. We drank it lounging by the pool. The hotel is in walking distance to great temples and fun bars and restaurants. If you want to explore further, the hotel will arrange a Tuk Tuk or taxi to wherever you want to go. Be sure not to miss the night market and all the fun surrounding. I booked this hotel based on the Trip Advisor reviews and I was not disappointed. I pass my review on to the next traveler to Chiang Mai. Stay at the Rachamankha!
The Twelve Hotel: "A confidential charming place to discove"
Go there with confidence .... then can want them big! Doing so may miss the beauty of the place because everything is enjoyable to watch. This cozy and quiet hotel, with human size, deploys nice rooms and excellent taste: no false notes in decoration, nice furniture, nice touches for guests a warm and professional welcome, vast spaces that invite to relax before and / or after a day in the hectic Bangkok. It feels like home, only better because we have nothing else to do but enjoy! Breakfast is a delight (French pastries, etc.), the cleanliness is impeccable. Athy and Sébastien are good advice, in addition to being charming. Thanks to them, we could do many things with ease: many desires and 2 days with 2 children in this huge city. This peaceful place is very well located, quiet. We easily reached the sights, the BTS and the airport. On foot, there you need to eat, drink, etc ... the hotel tells us properly (explanations, plans, councils). We will return without hesitation, longer this time .. .for other chocolate croissants. "Having booked our table here some time ago we were hoping for something out of the ordinary to remember our stay in Luang Prabang by. The special table we were given certainly lived up to our highest expectations and the food was just sublime. We thought the meal we had at another restaurant the previous night was excellent but the food at Manda de Laos took us to a different level. Claiming to be an authentic taste of Laos we can only confirm that this is cooking to a very high standard comparable to any we have eaten whilst travelling around the pworld. The suggested menu, describing it as fixed would do it a disservice, was delicious with wonderful flavours throughout the meal.
Staff were attentive, friendly and courteous and described each element with knowledge and passion.
There are some who will and have commented on the cost here but knowing the cost of things whilst not appreciating their value is one of life’s biggest mistakes. Let us just say it was good value and leave it there.
This is a must visit restaurant in Luang Prabang so go all out for the Manda de Laos suggested menu, and we hope, like us, you find it as enjoyable and memorable as we did."
Jings Residence: "Boutique hotel with real Chinese character"
This is a great boutique hotel in the heart of historic Pingyao. The staff are very enthusiastic and keen to please, though the standard of English is not the same as in the bigger tourist centres in China. The rooms are around a courtyard and have been well designed: they retain a lot of original features but have modern plumbing, wifi access and other conveniences. Very nice dinner served with some style. Thoroughly recommended.
My wife and I drove to pai which was fun and stayed at the reverie for one night and enjoyed it so much we kept extending until we had no choice and had to come home and stayed 4 nights in total. Best hotel I've ever stayed in and can't really find a single negative. Great value and if you wa
Arumdalu: "Highly Personalised Service, Ecological Balanced Resort, Amazing Experience"
"This is one of the place I wished I could rate more than 5 star.
The service is highly personalised and awesome the moment you meet the driver at the airport. The driver made us feel very comfortable and kept us interested for the 1hr or so drive from the airport to the resort.
The resort had only 10 villas, a huge private beach with soft white sand. The whole thing seems to be made to enhanced our experiences staying in this resort. Everything in the restaurant taste awesome. The vegetables and salads are picked up fresh from the garden. We had a romantic dinner package outside. Appreciate the staff setting the whole thing up for us for hours. Was a good experience. We took a batik making course, it was very interesting and we get to keep the batik we made :) Being in rainy season, lots of mosquitos, but bearable. The design for the whole place seems to take ecosystem balances in check. No mosquitos in the villa. The most expensive place we have ever booked, but we will definitely be back. The only bad thing is the Internet gets weaker the further we are from the reception and the restaurant, but hey... if you are in this place, you don't need internet and you dont want to use internet. Enjoy what this place and the nature has to offer! Belitung is a paradise, please keep the island that way (don't turn it into a Bali). Every resort in the Beltung should be built like this one... keeping the ecosystem balance in check. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"
If you would ask me right now what hotel in the world is your all time favorite, this would definitely be it! As far as i am concerned, Tugu has it all to make me long for a next stay. Even though it was built relatively recently it has been conceived and decorated with such taste and eye for details that it transports you back to an era when time was so much more irrelevant. In spite of its location right next to the Malang town hall, the warm tranquility of the tropical surroundings seems to pervade every single corner of Tugu hotel. Afternoon tea is offered as it would be in a local market stall that somehow miraculously appeared on the first floor amidst the colonial antiques and furniture. Not one sound of the bustling traffic outside reaches the large, impeccably clean rooms, delicately scented with fresh Jasmin flowers, guaranteeing a good night sleep. Excellent beds, a breakfast menu so extensive and varied that you'd wish you could stay forever... Ah! And let's not forget the excellent wine bar (a little minus for the bartender though, who clearly had to look up the recipes of some very common drinks on his phone). If offered the chance, do take the guided tour of the hotel and you'll be surprized by what this gem has on offer.
Arumdalu: "Isolated natural beauty"
I visited with my wife for a weekend getaway from Jakarta, and found this to be a wonderful tonic for hectic traffic and work stress. It is isolated, and the drive from the airport is about an hour and 15 minutes, which is something to consider. However, we were very happy to be met by the resort's driver, and William, who took us on a short visit to the town for local coffee and noodles, which were great! The resort itself is still relatively new, and the staff's knowledge of English was limited, but their attentiveness, service, and friendly demeanor made us feel truly welcome. The facilities are wonderful, with private (one bed) Villas with lovely open floor plan, private plunge pool surrounded by views of forest and natural sounds. The beach is white sand and you can literally be the only people on it, which is amazing for Indonesia, but there are lots of little jellyfish in the ocean, so be careful. The food was wonderful, and the chef quickly took in our pescetarian dietary preference and began to create delicious offerings for us with fresh seafood and veggies (some grown on the premises). It is pricey, but is a wonderful luxury getaway spot.
VILLA SONG SAIGON: "Great location and the service is first class"
"This hotel worked perfectly for us as a final day/night before flying home. It is a high end boutique hotel, at a good price, in a quiet location right by the water's edge. eating out by the water was very relaxing and although the hotel is on the opposite bank from the main tourist area you can have the best of both worlds as their boat service enabled you to easily cross over with the benefit of a free river tour...The rooms are of a very high standard and the icing on the cake was the standard of service. Whoever we talked to from the staff couldn't have been trying harder to help us. Additionally we had a very late flight out in the evening. They tried very hard to accommodate us having a room for an extended period. When this wouldn't work, as they were full, they provided us showers and access to a room to change in. You can't ask for more and if in Ho Chi Minh City again we will definitely be back. Thank you for making the end to our holiday so good. "
