“An experience not to be missed and we were made welcome from the moment we stepped onto the boat to the moment we got off. With only 13 passengers on board we had oodles of space but even full, 24, there would be plenty of room for everyone. Watching the other river traffic go by was fascinating as was the river life we saw dotted along the river banks. Such is the Mekong Delta that river traffic carries a multitude of goods from sand and stone to rice and other staples of the Vietnamese people. We stopped for an interesting insight Ione village life and our guide An told us so much about the locals and their way of life. Food on board was plentiful and tasty with special dietary requirements catered for without fuss. After mooring for the night we set off for a sampan ride up into the backwaters seeing local life again at first hand. We then transferred to a slightly larger boat to visit the morning floating market and see some local produce being made.
A most enjoyable trip and one which will remain in our memory for a very long time.”
