Hotel Facilities & Highlights
Cuisine: The restaurant has a country style décor with blue stained furniture. Meals are made with organic vegetables and herbs, and include pickles, jams and juices, pasta and noodles.
Views: Capture Himalayan peaks including Trisul, Nanda Devi and Panchchuli. Gandhi once called this place the “Switzerland of India”.
Birding: This area is known amongst ornithologists for its wide variety of migratory birds that can be spotted all year round, the most amazing one being a bird that builds its nest with mud. The nest has such a narrow opening that it requires precise skill to get into it. When these birds build these unusual nests on someone’s home, the locals consider it auspicious, and the family blessed.
Gardens: The beautifully terraced gardens allow nature to take its course and the beauty of the hills to remain untouched. The gardens are dotted with outdoor benches and picnic tables to take in the magnificent mountain views.

Your Host & The Team
“During a holiday to Ramgarh in 2003, I found a perfect piece of land overlooking snow-covered Himalayan peaks. Together with my wife Ratna, we named it Soulitude to express solitude for the soul. I love to explore new places, and whilst on a trek along the Kalsa River, I came across a farm with an emerald rock pool and waterfall. I wanted to grow my own food and draw natural mineral water from our springs. That is how our second property, Soulitude by the Riverside, was created. I believe that you don’t own property… the property owns you.”
“Set in the Himalayas, this 10-room boutique hotel features spectacular views of the Himalayan peaks. Surrounded by forests, it also offers the opportinity to take wonderful treks and walks.”
