Tugu Malang: "Always feels welcome"

Review by: Wayne C | Source: Trip Advisor
This historic hotel is a museum as much a hotel. I have been staying here for around 15 years and the service never falters it is perfect. From the moment you enter reception you are treated like an individual. The staff go out of their way to remember your name and always refer to you by name. The dining at the restaurant is fabulous. The whole experience is one that you must feel for yourself. It is unique in Asia. Recommended to anyone

Jing’s Residence: "Deserved No. 1 spot on Tripadvisor"

Review by: Peter L | Source: Trip Advisor
"If you are visiting Pingyao I really can't imagine there is a better place to stay. We stayed for 2 nights. The location is excellent, just 1 minute walk from the main intersection so you're close enough to the hustle and bustle but not right in it. It was really nice being able to easily get back to the residence to freshen up and relax before heading out again (you kind of need to do that in Pingyao). Stepping through the inconspicuous wooden doors you literally step in to a little oasis that you wouldn't know is there. The staff are exceptionally attentive and well trained; There are only 10 or so suites so it's quiet, spacious and very comfortable. Of course the house and rooms were perfectly clean and we had two great nights sleep in large, clean, comfortable beds. I visited with a friend but I would love to return with my family someday. It also helps that Pingyao itself is an amazing place to visit. "

Le Calao: "Fantastic meal"

Highly recommend this newly opened restaurant in an old colonial building - service, views, food - everything was great. A bit more expensive than other places in Luang Prabang but absolutely worth it.

Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "An excellent safari camp near to Sri Lanka’s finest wildlife park"

Review by: David L | Source: Trip Advisor
Outstanding Safari Camp - but please remember this is a CAMP, a safari experience, not a luxury hotel and as such tents in the bush are the order of the day. Nevertheless the camp is well done and maintained. The food was excellent and plentiful, mostly Sri Lankan cuisine. Noel and his partner Cecile are excellent hosts and his team of camp managers, cooks and guides are very professional and accommodating. The safari guides are extremely good, highly knowledgable and ethical in their wildlife policies. The safari vehicles are well appointed, up-to-date 4x4's - all important to me as a professional wildlife photographer. Yala National Park itself is just a short drive away from the camp, (at the time of my visit, camps and lodges are not permitted in the park itself) great wildlife encounters are frequent and the varied landscapes are stunning. Noel Rodrigo's is perhaps a little more expensive than the other camps, hotels and wildlife tours I saw out there, but for the personal attention, quality of the camp, vehicles, guides, food and service.... it is certainly worth it.

Villa Song Saigon: "Calm oasis"

Review by: rachelsO4386LK | Source: Trip Advisor
"This hotel is a calm oasis away from the bustle of the busy city with its thousands of motor cyclists. Friendly helpful staff, a stunning building and a refreshing clean swimming pool, with delicious food (local and international) served in the garden by the river. We liked the tablet computer photos (brought to the table) of the food so we could see before we ordered - a nice touch. Stayed March 2017, traveled as a couple"

Tugu Bali: "Loved this hotel!"

Review by: Shmoopy_12 | Source: Trip Advisor
"For the record , this is the first time I've ever given a 5 star rating ! This hotel was awesome! Especially the staff . So welcoming and friendly. When we first arrived , the Assistant Manager , Ari greeted us with a welcome beverage and introduction to the hotel . There was a dinner show going on at the time in the lobby so we're able to watch while we waiting for our room to be ready . When we were walking to our room , it was like being in a garden temple , so much culture and greenery and art work , it was like a museum Of Bali culture and art. Nice walkways , bridges , areas to have romantic dinners , etc and close to the beach . I can't say enough about the room! Our own pool! How unexpected! And an out door swing and outdoor bathroom with a fish pond surrounding it. So serene. It was off-season so the hotel is very quiet , no parties or loud music which we loved. They also have a lovely pool area, afternoon tea, cooking lessons, and great restaurants . Our favourite was the outdoor barbecue restaurant overlooking the surf where we had the most perfect view of the sunset . I would definitely highly recommend this hotel , loved it, thank you ."

misool: "Even better the second time around"

Review by: Dave M | Source: tripadvison.com
"My wife and I first visited MER in 2013 (if interested, see my review dated July 9, 2013) and returned for our second visit in February of this year. Our observations: In the three years between visits, the fish life has continued to rebound in a remarkable fashion thanks to MER's No Take Zone and ranger patrols of that area. There is so much to see on every dive site. Brilliant colors abound, along with critters galore, sharks and mantas, too! Diving was the focus of our visit and we found the dive operation to be efficiently and expertly managed by Calvin and his support staff. The food was once again plentiful and delicious. A change since last time was the switch during lunchtime from buffet style to family style, where heaping plates of food were passed around each table. Great conversations were had daily when the guests came together at meal time. The grounds are clean and well maintained, the staff helpful and friendly, the spa services are varied and most satisfying and while my wife and I have traveled extensively around the globe, we found ourselves more relaxed on this trip than anywhere before. Marit and Andrew have a spectacular vision for this place and continue to look for ways to conserve and protect this beautiful part of the world, while allowing guests to come along for the ride. What a privilege for those who visit. We're already planning to return in 2018 and we can't wait to once again see the friends we've made at MER. Dave and Elaine "

The River Resort: "Sérénité, luxe & gentillesse"

Review by: Tintinsansmilou_sa | Source: Trip Advisor
